The CPUs may not be dead when you upgrade or replace a CPU sometimes or requires a bios update or downgrade depending on the CPU used for it to work with the current hardware
There are any number of things that stop a PC from booting, including the bios settings. I suspect a lot of people today have very little idea of how to troubleshoot such things, even though it's often a simple process. Everybody just wants instant gratification, otherwise they lose interest. Fortunately, nowadays motherboards are jumperless, everything is plug and play and the bios/EFI seems to have more intelligence than the people using the computer. 😂
Does updating the bios delete the microcode for the older cpus?

Other than modern gaming and video work, many of the tasks that people use their computers for don't require anywhere near the full power of a modern PC. Of course, computer manufacturers and software producers want you to buy their latest products, so they'll tell you you need the latest and greatest... when in fact you'll barely notice any difference. Unless you suddenly learn to type 10 times faster and all your documents and accounts suddenly become 10 times bigger and more complicated. 😂

Fun fact about bedrock edition, input lag is actually determined by framerate which means people with better pc's actually have a competitive advantage
Actually all games input lag is determined by fps, higher framerate means lower frametime wich makes any input be represented faster in the screen

Bro when you change the CPU in your working PC......then you have to FIRST BOOT IT TO BIOS AND THEN RESTART!!!!!
And also check if the chipset is compatible before purchasing the motherboard and not the socket.

@@milktoast56Not always true, there are many cases where the original BIOS would only support a certain selection of CPU or RAM configurations. Whatever was current at the time will be supported, but anything after that may not be. That's why manufacturers issue BIOS updates.

The integrated graphics on this CPU are the minimum supported for Minecraft (IvyBridge graphics, aka Gen7). The drivers are notoriously buggy sometimes and I've also experienced those flickers

I remember when buying even the lowest capacity hard drive would cost you at least double that, and back then your $549 (or equivalent £ here in the UK) would buy you a great deal of things. Like a car. Two things that never stand still... technology and inflation. 😂

minecraft was first developed in 09, and was officially released in 2011. modern minecraft has been enshittified so bad in term of optimization that it's just better to play versions before ~2014 with optifine because then that works on many potatoe pcs.

You can also easily run minecraft on a mid 2006 iMac on integrated graphics and half the amount of ram. I really don't see why this is so surprising, the G2020 was released in 2013.
i used to have a computer that would run minecraft java like this, it’d only get into playable (20-30fps) frame rates if i use absolute minimum video settings, my cpu was an i5-6300U, with an Intel HD 520, My new computer was a world of difference better, CPU was a major upgrade to an i7 vPro 8665U, the GPU wasn’t a massive upgrade but since Java is CPU intensive, it was way more fluid, even on medium settings, (60 FPS), The GPU wasn’t a major upgrade though. It’s running on an Intel UHD 620, Still better

i had pentium e6300 + gt 1030 and it got 400 fps on multiplayer optifine 1.8.9, render around 7
200-300fps in a sodium modpack 1.20.1 multiplayer

i have dual core, 2.7 ghz 2 cores 2 threads. I can play minecraft at like 100 fps, 4 ram, no video card. I also can play roblox at 50, watch videos without lag, and i played fortnite at 40 fps when i had a good video card.
I have 2.30 ghz i3 6100u 4 cores i can play roblox at 140 fps on 600x600 res at 94hz overclocked monitor

I started playing Minecraft Alpha on a single core Celeron D from 2004. Lower all settings and enjoy 10 fps and placing blocks 3 to 4 times because the PC couldn't keep up.

like not even optifine (which isn't even good, actually), nor fabric with optimization mods (e.g. sodium + lithium as baseline, there's even optimization modpacks with more mods, just don't get too many or too fancy mods at once)
Definitely a memory bottleneck. Windows by itself needs a minimum of 2GB (4GB for Win11) and most games 8GB and Minecraft normally needs 2GB allocated Minimum so the 2 cores are probably stressed constantly re-referencing memory near 24/7
This video is a testament to just how well Minecraft bedrock is optimised.

If you had 2 CPUs for 1 dollar you should try to make them both work. You can either use one of them to run server on it to lift the load, or you can try to find some dual-socket motherboard.
