You can't blame Boeing for a tire falling off a plane that is 31 years old. That plane has been through many maintenance cycles. Blame the maintenance staff at Delta or whatever company does the maintenance for Delta.
Shame on bad reporters.

I love the news story about the Airbus A319 door warning light that led to an emergency landing and the news reporter that blamed it on Boeing calling the plane the "Boeing Airbus A319." "Not the same model as the 737 Max 9 involved in the Alaskan door plug incident."

About a week ago, just before take off a passenger onboard virgin Atlantic spotted several screws missing from the a330 wing
So according to the ABC reporter's theory it should be Airbus fault lol :-)
And let’s not forget about the engine incident on a China Eastern A330 last November

Both Virgin and Airbus said there was no impact to the safety of the aircraft despite the missing screws. Cant say the same about NO bolts and boeing.
the affected panel was a secondary structure used to improve the aerodynamics of the plane.
Each of these panels has 119 fasteners, so there was no impact to the structural integrity or load capability of the wing, and the aircraft was safe to operate.

@@frankfeng4728 more often than you think. It happened to my car when the mechanic forgot to install cotter pin after replacing the hub. So is it car manufacturer’s fault? It is like saying that “If your uncle has clits she’s your aunt”!
@@frankfeng4728 Often enough that the use of torque wrenches and brightly colored tabs on wheels (Wheel-Check) is pretty common for lug nuts used by commercial operators (truck/bus/other vehicles).
Airlines OWN these planes. It is THEIR job to make sure they maintain their aircraft, not the manufacturer.

@@runtaoyang1244 You do, I can attest to at least a dozen issues with Airbuses that I have personally experienced. The only reason this is getting the attention it is, is because of the ongoing Boeing issues. This isn't a Boeing versus Airbus issues, it is a maintenance issue.

door plug is a Boeing issue, the 747 engine is a GE issue, this wheel is Delta own maintenance issues... but PR wise.. definitely not good for Boeing

Age has NOTHING to do with it as parts are continually changed out through out the years. The only thing that is 31 years old is the basic design. This is strictly a Maintenance issue that someone messed up on.
Its not because of boeing, the plane is one of the oldest b757s delta has. It was mostly likely on deltas side. Stop using click paity news titles...
Whats click baity about it? It is true that Boeing is under scrutiny right now, its not ABC who is causing the scrutiny, they are simply reporting that they are under scrutiny after all of these events that have been happening in the past few weeks.

@@tyche1313 planes are highly maintained. They are basically new even if they’re 20 to 30 years old. Every a few hundred or thousand hours, I forgot what it is, they do a full disassembly and inspect it.

DC3's are still flying. Age has nothing to do with it. It's proper care and maintenance. Many BA aircraft, over forty years old are still flying. @@tyche1313
Check the maintenance records and see who signed off that plane. FAA has a strict guidelines on who can sign off on final approval after maintenance occurs.
Just not as strict when it comes to boeing letting them supervise themself

@@TheRuben_music MCAS is absolutely their issue and that is all on them for the blame on that. The Atlas 747 engine incident and Delta 757 incident isn't their problem. On the Atlas 747-8 the engines are not made by Boeing (they don't make any engines for their planes matter of fact), General Electric makes the GEnx engines which are found on the 747-8s. The tire incident is most likely someone not installing something correctly while the plane was being serviced at Delta's maintenance hangar at ATL.
I am vert well aware of that. I fly alot! Only transportation to my hometown. But they messed up dreamliner, max 8 and now max 9.@@WNFlyer

This plane is many years old, it has had many tire changes this has litterally nothing to do with Boeing other then it was a Boeing aircraft.
Yeah, Tens of thousands of hours on that. How many tire changes? Thousands. Not a Boeing problem at this point. Delta Maintenance is pretty spot on, so are we talking a rim failure or what? The investigation will bear this out. Of course the media jumps on Boeing.
The FAA still needs to do an investigation to see whos at fault. We will see whether it was Deltas or Boeing's fault, but you have to admit all of these events in the past few weeks are still not a good look for Boeing.

This isn't even a Boeing problem it's maintenance! How come the media didn't mention the grounding of two Lufthansa A321 jets on January 12 due to fuselage cracks?
How is this related to Boeing? The airlines are the ones who maintain the aircraft.
Soon we will see the passengers walking around the plane checking wheels, engines and doors before boarding the flight.
If they do that to the same amount as they check their own cars, it would only get worse. Just look at all the "Mechanical Nightmares", "Just Rolled In" etc. videos here on RUclips and you know exactly what I mean.

@@TheRuben_music There is a lot we don't know. Yes, it's most likely that the bolts were missing. However, if they weren't there is no reasonable expectation that they are findable. They are a very small item that fell about 16,000 ft and could be spread across a path a mile wide and 3-5 miles long. It would be a miracle to find them if they were there.
On the other hand finding the large door plug is reasonable - and it was found.
Other things not yet known for sure: Who was the last company and people to work on that door plug. It may be on Boeing, and it may be on Alaska Airlines or one of their contractors. The NTSB will figure it out.
Just because you have a relatively new item - does not mean that it was the manufacture who messed it up.
If there was something missing on a new car. Did it come that way from the Mfr - or did the dealer do work and not install or reinstall it. Once in the owners hands did someone else work on the car in that area or on that component. My wife just had the front end of her car rebuilt after a deer suicided on it when she was driving to work. The repair shop forgot to bolt back in place the hood sensor which deactivated the security system for the car (pressing the fob buttons did not make the car horn "chirp" and several other features didn't work).
Please keep in mind that only the NTSB is authorized to release information - and there is commonly a lot of fake information released by other parties long before the NTSB report comes out. Please be skeptical of anything not coming directly from the NTSB on this issue.

Spare me the 757 issue was maintenance the 757 model has been around for over 40 years it's between the airlines and whomever does the maintenance. Employees have been telling you pundits about Boeing for decades but you rather cover up and weep the profits.
This report would not have come out if not for the Alaska Airlines flight. This tire falling off has nothing to do with Boeing.

this 757 was delivered in 1992. this is not a Boeing problem. this aircraft has probably gone under several heavy maintenance checks by now and this falls on delta

This shows you that these airplanes do not receive regular inspections or maintenance. It's all about keeping these planes flying to make profits because profits over your safety.

Can we use our heads here? An aircraft that old has had the tires changed, who knows how many times. If it had come straight out of the factory and that happened, you might have a case. It would be like having a blowout on your car 20 years after you bought it and blaming the manufacturer for it. Boeing has its shares of issues, but this isn't their fault, this sounds like faulty maintenance, or component failure.
