“Sorry man.” Legitimately works. I think the added word acts to acknowledge them as a person. Many panhandlers and homeless people talk about one of the worst things is being treated as invisible, so taking that extra second to look at them and acknowledge them with your language goes way farther than you’d think.
And joey saying "I believe you, doesn't mean I'm gonna try it" like... What? It's so simple to say "I'm sorry man I don't got it" because yes, when you take that extra second to acknowledge them, a lot of the time they'll even stop and say "it's ok, have a good day" or something.

something so heartwarming about the boys being like 'its fine' "you're fine" to daidus, really enjoyed their interactions with eachother in this episode!!
The “no sorry man” as a native New Yorker does work😂😂. Something bout the man really does resonate with the crackheads cause everyone knows we just trynna maintain
Can confirm it works in Barcelona as well, "No, lo siento primo/tio/hermano"... something about appealing to being part of their close family leaves them so gobsmacked in place that it gives you time to "run" away.

Well he's legit never been to any notable places. I lived in NH for two years and I lived in New Hampshire for two years and they were completely different. I went to school in Western NY (upstate) which is completely different from the rest of the state (I grew up in southern tier NY and I currently work in the heart of the finger lakes which is central NY). All completely different vibes. If you go to northern NY that is also a different vibe especially the Adirondacks. I've been to Illinois both Chicago and northern Illinois and Michigan. Southern and northern California are completely different, Hawaii is different. Massachusetts is basically its own country. So is NYC. The states definitely not the same unless you've only gone to "touristy cities" then you get a similar vibe. Tokyo is basically like a touristy city in the US

So sometimes, it’s nice to relearn the truth of the fact that nobody was born on this earth to be alone.
Daidus is adorable. I love that he feels so relatable in the way he acts and the stuff he's worried about. He seems super fucking down to earth. I've watched his videos a lot before but it's a little different actually seeing him and talking without a script. Super cool.
“Sorry man.” Legitimately works. I think the added word acts to acknowledge them as a person. Many panhandlers and homeless people talk about one of the worst things is being treated as invisible, so taking that extra second to look at them and acknowledge them with your language goes way farther than you’d think.
Doesn't work in Atlanta. They will cuss you out even if you say sorry no. 90 percent of them
I don't know why this seemed foreign to them. It's just a polite softener and it's literally one letter off of "san".
And joey saying "I believe you, doesn't mean I'm gonna try it" like... What? It's so simple to say "I'm sorry man I don't got it" because yes, when you take that extra second to acknowledge them, a lot of the time they'll even stop and say "it's ok, have a good day" or something.
@@pdamonc123 bro I feel that you have to say no aggressively or else they try to almost force you into you giving them money

I caught that too. I get what he means though. Canada and the US are very similar compared to Japan.

@@emiirin Thats not entirely true, because on the venn diagram of people as a whole, introverts are statistically more likely to be diagnosed with anxiety, and a lot of introvert traits are also symptoms of anxiety, so it's a mixture of both I'd say. Also you get to add more when cooking it with a pot if you like adding extra veggies, meat, or eggs
The packet is cheaper good enough for me
The cup stuff always has an aftertaste of Styrofoam to me, so I prefer the packets too
