Hey guys, sorry about the jarring cuts on the Heaven's Feel III section of the video! Ufotable liked my video so much that they wanted to make sure no one could see it lol unless I removed claimed content.
My basic thoughts are that I really, really loved this movie and it felt more like an event movie than the other two, but it was still really good, leaving it at a 9.5/10.
If you'd like to read the thoughts I wrote down in my script, you can right here (1/3):
Yeah, Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel III - Spring Song is good too. They’re all good like I said. I only took a few notes on this one, so I’ll just list things that stood out to me.
I like the visual storytelling in these shots, notably on Sakura’s vision as she watches where Shirou goes. In the beginning when she attacks them, she watches as Shirou runs to Rin rather than talk to her. You watch as the little light leaves her face as she gets jealous once again. This led to my other revelation.
It’s obvious that her evil-ness comes from a fear of being hated, so she inadvertently tries to make people hate, dislike, or be disgusted by her, a form of lampshading, to confirm her fears. It’s like a self-fulfiled prophecy. It’s why when she asked for sex, she said she was impure. It’s her deepest fear, but she projects it--or almost implies it with everything she says. She wants to have her fears be legitimized so that she doesn’t have to be afraid of them, treating them like fact rather than irrational fantasy. Yet, even if everyone does believe it, Shirou won’t, but she still pushes him away.
What’s interesting is Illya makes Sakura second-guess herself after hearing words of praise, like taht she’s too powerful, which might show that a way to foil our fears might be encouragement and support from those around us. Although, and I’ll talk about it later, but we realize that we might go overkill if we’ve been under too much abuse when getting something we want.

      (2/3)
I think Illya’s character in these movies is great, too, and I like this take on it. After she loses Berserker in the 2006 version, she becomes a silly side character, but here she is very important, impactful, and intriguing. She asks questions that really drive the plot, one of my favorite being when she and Shirou are hiding from evil Berserker, and she tells him to get out of there, but he says he’ll stay to protect his little sister. She asks him why he puts himself through so much suffering and that he doesn’t deserve it, but he just thanks her and risks his life once again to save her. He’s literally Leon Kennedy, guys. Bro said “I’m taking him down. That okay?” ABOUT BERSERKER. He is the goat. But anyways, this is returned later on in the movie when she saves him (ish) and says she is technically his bigger sister. Idk i mainly had an issue with that moment because he still got vaporized by the explosion, but maybe she put an enchantment on him. Also, I like how skilled and smart she is.
Saber Alter gets more to do in this, still not a lot, but she gets stuff to do. Her scenes are always so good, and her VA is so great at doing her deadpan voice. It’s really hot I’m sorry.
At the end of the movie, it just turns into a really fun event movie, still with horror and drama oozing through it.
Sakura’s VA does an amazing job portraying this character, like seriously. You feel every beat of despair to fury, and it sounds like raw emotion. Her conversation with Rin at the end, where she trauma dumps on her is so real, but after Rin says she doesn’t care, she goes crazy and like--it’s so good.
Also side note--I didn’t take too many notes on Rin, but she is also really cool in these movies. The whole main cast is dope like these movies are the best in Fate if you ever want to watch them. But I like how Rin is always just a really powerful mage, and she gets to show it off at the end when she’s up against Sakura.
I also think her saying “this is just a contest of power” was such an important line because it completely trumps Sakura’s whole motto of being too powerful (which was what Illya called her earlier). It’s likely because she’s always been the victim that she’s believed what all people want is power, so if she’s the strongest, she can finally be the one in charge, but she neglected to believe other people could simply outsmart her. I love how flawed she is as a person, even going through so many horrible things.

      @serpentsir  5 месяцев назад

      (3/3)
I also love when Rin is about to kill her, she gets this flashback to when she was going to lose a cardgame, but she went with it anyway because she saw how happy Sakura was. Her smile was really something to be cherished since in pretty much every flashback, Sakura isn’t smiling unless she’s with Shirou or something. It’s so sweet because Sakura really is a nice girl, but she’s just so broken emotionally, but truly deep down, Rin and Shirou (and Taiga) just want to see her smile again. It is so nice.
Later on, when Sakura thinks she kills Rin, Shirou shows up, and he does the most heroic, nicest thing ever. He tells her they can save her together, but she tells him he has to run away. But this amazing dude decides to run up and get her. She starts begging for him to leave, and he keeps moving, and she’s saying how she doesn’t deserve to be saved, how she can die there alone, but he pushes himself to save her because he promised he would. All because he promised. This guy is such a good hero I can’t describe how much this scene meant to me. He is literally becoming a hero of justice--this is what UBW wanted to be. Incredible.
And later, he walks up to her after she tells him that she’s going to hurt him, and thiis reminds me of the last movie when he walked up to her even though she begged him to leave. This is amazing paralleling and storytelling. And then he says “It’s not going to be easy; you better grit your teeth.” This is the coolest thing I’ve seen in my entire life.
I think Shirou’s final moments are great, too. His fist fight with Kotomine was brutal, and it was really just two dudes who hated each other. Also, it was kind of funny how jacked Kotomine was, but I also think his ideals are interesting--he wanted to let the creature be born because, even if it killed people, it has not technically been born yet or able to form judgement, relating it to people wanting to kill the child of a criminal with the assumption that that child would turn to a life of crime too. He also says that there is a contradiction in humanity in which we cannot be human without evils. I think it’s interesting, but I also like when characters start debating on their ideology. I like that the two keep talking while they’re fighting just to keep each other company.
Of course, Shirou wins, but what’s nice is that Illya comes back to save him. He at first was going to sacrifice himself to kill the creature, but he saw a vision of the blades making some more body horror, where some would ven poke out of his eye. It was very grim, the embodiment of his suffering for the sake of others. But Illya asks him if he wants to live, and he finally says yes. This is great because she kept telling him not to make himself suffer for others, and he finally learns that it isn’t selfish to want to live and that he has truly done enough for these people. It’s time for someone else to do the saving, and here is when his VA does an amazing job as he says he made a mistake, but man, this moment just hits so hard.
I think it’s simple but a nice ending that he get saved. And he gets saved again when Sakura and Rin find his body.
Finally, I want to talk about my girl Saber. She once again only has a few minutes of screentime, but she has a rematch with Rider that is actually peak action. Like it’s perfect-it is probably the BEST FIGHT IN THE FRANCHISE THUS FAR. Look it up since I can’t play the whole thing, but it’s so well-made, the music, the choero, the colors, the animation-perfect. 10/10, no notes. There’s this one closeup shot on Saber’s eyes that looks like they used a completely different lens?? The whole thing is like 4 minutes, but it is sooooo perfectly and expertly crafted. It is like the best action sequence I’ve seen in a while.
It ends with Saber losing, but this actually made me sad because she really didn’t do anything wrong--she was just serving and following orders. But she gets like horribly electrocuted and cries in pain, and then Shirou comes to stab her. She mutters his name, and his eyes widen, which makes me believe in that moment he did not want to stab her at all, but it was too late. Here’s my gripe:
I think Shirou should’ve used Rule Breaker instead of the blade to stop Saber Alter. She literally didn’t have to be murdered if the contract was severed between her and Sakura. I’m not sure exactly how the shadow worked, but she was under her control, so maybe this could have freed her. It sucks how she gets so disrespected in this series-like when she got captured by Caster in UBW, she was petrified with sadness & it broke my heart to see her so indescribably sad-all for Shirou to barely care. Like she’s just a girl who wants to eat food and get competitive messing around, but she gets the worst ending in all of these shows 💔💔💔 #JusticeForSaber
I even made a TikTok because of this (if I don’t get copyrighted). But I heard she has fun and is actually happy in Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family, so I can’t wait to see that.
And at last, the prologue is really good. The music is amazing, sad, and haunting, yet still moving. I was kind of confused on how Rider got to stick around (I wish Saber got to), and I also just had to accept that Shirou was alive again. But I love that Rin asked Sakura if she was happy since Rin can finally see her smile without suffering herself, and Sakura got to see cherry blossoms with Shirou, another promise he made. It’s such an amazing movie. And the ending tracks by Aimer are bangers. A really satisfying ending for this trilogy.
Overall, this movie was amazing. It’s more of an event, but it’s still really good when you watch it with the last one, so I’ll give it a 9.5/10.

I responded to this comment as I felt more appropriate to share my thoughts in general
In a nutshell, the 3rd movie depicts Sakura descent into madness, as she no longer can hold the revolt she feels for the world around her, while she was filling herself with depravity and delusions (quite literally like something out of Alice in wonderland) in the 2nd film, and thus, as Kirei stated, she's utterly drunk with power, and wants nothing but to end herself alongside the world around her.
As for the situation regarding Salter, I do understand your grievances regarding her lack of presence, and the inability for her to return to Shirou's side, but not only would she (probably) still be affected by Angra Manyu's corruption hence why he used the Azoth Dagger to finish her, but Shirou would also probably not be able to handle her landmass of mana, alongside him dealing with Archer's arm literally turning him into a vegetable from the inside

Man, I'm sad when people think Shirou won't let Saber fight in the Fate route due to her being a girl but this is mostly at the fault of the 2006 anime not including the inner monologues from the VN. In the VN, when he gives his reason as to why he doesn’t want Saber to fight, in his head he knows what he's saying is not something he actually believes in and it's just his survivor's guilt simply trying to come up with any type of excuse. If Saber was an old man then he would've probably said "old guys shouldn't fight" as an excuse instead. We KNOW Shirou doesn’t mind girls fighting because he lets Rin fight with no issues, she even calls him out on this.

Yoo love the playlist even more now though /hollow ataraxia comes before /zero so u got that wrong. & id suggest getting rid of the mahoyo & type-moon fes op. cause their just boring nonesense that don’t qualify as anime openings, something reactor is gonna want to sit through. I’m just glad u don’t got the garden of sinners 1 in here too cause that is 10x more boring. & it shouldn’t go by when the openings were released but the source material. Sadly some of them like ubw op 1 is blocked

Just like to point out that Shirou leaves Saber at home in UBW only for going to school because she is fundamentally different from other servants and can't go into spirit form. This is explained in all 4 series she appears in and is vaguely reused in both Apocrypha and FGO to explain Pseudo/Demi-Servants when introducing Jeanne, Mash, and Ishtar.
Also, he summons Archers swords because they are Noble Phantasms and the other servants he sees either use magic, Divine weapons he can't copy like Excalibur(FSN ending was super specific to that circumstance), or exotic weapons like Riders spikes. It's literally the best option he has until he meets Gilgamesh because he didn't observe Assassin enough.
Overall I feel like you misunderstood the premise in that these aren't separate interpretations of the characters but different routes with the same characters in a Visual Novel written by the same person. Before events these characters are the exact same person. They are only different because of the events portrayed.

Okay, I can see you're a hardcore Saber simp, to the point that it's clouding your perspective. Stay/Night is her arc. That's why she has reduced presence in UBW and HF. Likewise, Sakura is the focus of Heaven's Feel. Rin is an exception to this. Although UBW is her arc, she has presence in every story, because she's a badass witch who helps drive the plot forward.
So the thing about Shirou... He's not chaotic good. He's Idiot Good. The routes are also representative of his mindset. S/N is "people before oneself", much like Saber. This is Shirou who will grow up to be EMIYA. In UBW, his mindset gets warped to a more balanced "I'll do what I can" due to his interactions with Archer. In Heaven's Feel he goes all in simp, pledging saving Sakura, the world be damned.
Now, why doesn't Shirou just whip out good ol' Excalibur (The Sword From the Lake) and nuke every fight? Because he will fucking DIE if he attempts that. In S/N he projected Caliburn (i.e. the Sword in the Stone) with help from Saber and Avalon and that took a lot out of him. You said it yourself, he's a lvl 1 mage fighting legends.
So why does he only use the crappy swords in UBW? Well, because they're way easier to project due to being ordinary swords without legends attached to them. That's also the reason they break so easily even in Archer's hands, who has had lifetimes more experience than Shirou.
Basically, Fate is miles deep and you are currently still in the kiddy pool area. Be prepared if you wade in deeper waters.
Oh, and I really liked the Heaven's Feel copyright editing, that was dope and funny. You got skill, Sir Snek.

17:32 it's because shirou didn't bond much with saber in ubw route. Shirou was able to project saber's caliburn in her route because he spent more time learning about saber's past. While in ubw, his focus was more on archer and Rin..

And also, regarding Avalon, Shirou only kept its healing powers intact in the Fate route, as he had Saber with his Servant for the entire route.
While in UBW, Shirou lost Saber when Caster stabbed her with the Rule Breaker, stealing the Servant contract of Saber. And in Heaven's Feels, Shirou lost Saber when she was devoured by the Shadow, stripping Shirou from the healing powers of Avalon in both routes.

Ah yes, converted to the Saber obsession
I think other people have told you but they all are routes of the vn with fate being Saber's route and UBW being Rin's route (Heaven's feel Sakura obviously) so for the UBW anime it is focused on Rin in the adaptation, but in the visual novel you can actually build your social points with both Saber and Rin which if you balance both correctly, you can get the Good Ending for UBW where Saber survives as Rin's familiar, getting mana from Rin and Shirou, forming a sort of three-way relationship sort of thing. So there are Saber moments in UBW but they were not focused on in the anime since its Rin's route. Same sort of thing, but on a more detrimental scale happened with Shirou's character in the adaptation. A lot of the reasoning for his dumb actions, which are his thoughts and laid out in the vn, were cut in the anime, leaving only the dumb actions. UBW is my favorite route because of Shirou and Archer but I guess the anime cut out too many important lines for many to understand. The final fight with Archer was my favorite in the series because of Shirou growing past Archer and showing him that their dream has meaning, despite being borrowed and impossible (sort of striving for that path and doing good but never reaching it isnt wrong).
I would definitely reccomend the VN as there is a lot left out of each anime (especially Heaven's Feel). An official release for it is finally coming lafer this year after 20 years so you can wait for that, but if you want more Saber that badly then the reddit for fate has some easy ways to download everything necessary (even ways to play it mobile if you have an Android device) with fan translations people have been using for a while. FBates has a newer translation for it as well.
On that note. There is also Fate Hollow Ataraxia which is a vn that is a sort of sequel to fate which is more slice of life but still has a amazing story of its own. I would recommend playing it because ahem maid saber, ahem swimsuit saber ahem etc. you can also download it easy on the Fate reddit.
Also new Fate fan and can understand themes past action? Subscribed

The issue with the 2006 version is that it looks like early 90's era animation. To put this into Perspective, the same year this came out, we had Death Note, Haruhi, Black Lagoon, Code Geass Season 1, Hellsing Ultimate! And that's not include long running shows Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. At this point One Piece was at Enes Lobby, Bleach had just finished the Soul Society Arc the previous year, Naruto was at the in filler hell after the Sasuke vs Naruto fight. So like thats the kind of stuff we had to compare it to.

The real reason people dislike the 2006 anime is because it's supposed to be an adaptation of the fate route, but it mixes in stuff from the other two routes, even though they're not designed to work like that. Resulting in a messy & dated adaptation.
I mean, you're not even supposed to meet Assassin or Caster's Master in the fate route because they both got killed by Gilgamesh off-screen. Unlimited blade works is the route that explores them & Caster. You can understand why fans of the visual novel want a new adaptation for the fate route to complete the series, but Nasu, the writer has wanted to remake the the fate route before it gets a new anime (still waiting lol)
Still, glad you're getting into it, but I can't help but feel like you're not getting why fate/staynight is structured this way.
The fate/staynight visual novel is made up of 3 routes. The Fate route, the Unlimited Blade Works route, & the Heaven's Feel route. You are forced to read in this order to unlock the next route.
First two routes are adapted into animes while the last one is a trilogy.
The main theme of Fate/StayNight is "conquering oneself." There are three story lines in Fate, each has a different theme, with different heroines to help explore them (if you're still wondering why Saber is less focused on after the Fate route).
The first one is "oneself as an ideal."
The second one is "struggling with oneself as an ideal."
The third one is "the friction with real and ideal."
Each one explores different aspects of Shirou to give us a full picture & understanding of his personality, and describes his growth.
The first storyline (Fate) shows his slanted mind (selfish dreamer), the next storyline (UBW) shows his resolve (selfless dreamer), and the last storyline (Heaven's Feel) gives another resolution for him as a human (selfless realist).
It's not about which version is better as they are different stories that build on eachother. They're necessary in understanding Shirou.
I'd recommend reading the visual novel & if not, check out "The Core of Shirou Emiya" on RUclips. It really helps put it all into perspective & helps give a new appreciation for each route. It does cover Oath Under Snow which is kind of like an unofficial fourth route beforehand, but I'll leave all of that up to you.
I just hope you can get as much enjoyment as possible out of the Fate series. It's a great time 👍🏾

Thank you for this comment! I definitely figured something was off with how much they jammed into the fate/stay night (2006) near the end, so I’m glad to know that it’s because of the adaptation itself!

Most of your problems about the UBW anime are also what I dislike about the UBW adaptation. Despite the many flaws of the 2006 adaptation it does have something that it does better than the UBW anime, it displays Shirous thoughts better, which is a major part of the story.

I disagree with ur takes on UBW shirou. This shirou is probably the truest version of himself of the 3, exploring the flaws in his ideals and exposing how much of a hypocrite he is, whereas in the fate route we only get to see the surface level of him, shining light on his selflessness by painting it as heroism as opposed to UBW which shows that, at its core, it isnt true heroism at all. Hence why i belive UBW to be the truest version, since Fate doesnt actually show who shirou is at his core and what makes him tick. Heavens feel also reinforces this part of his character in his fight with Kirei, showing that the only difference between them is the end of the spectrum theyre on. Kirei gets joy from suffering and death and shirou gets joy from saving others, showing us that shirou doesnt save people out of moral obligation but rather because the act of saving them (or rather the feeling of becoming more like kiritsugu by adhering to his borrowed ideals) brings him pleasure in the same way that causing suffering does for kirei. Of course the reason HF shirou differs from UBW shirou is that in HF he gives up on the ideals he got from kiritsugu and saves sakura out of a personal desire to save her, finally becoming his own person. Thats why kirei is his final adversary in HF, and why shirou wins that fight. Shirou dicards those ideals, actually becoming his own person and living for himself and what he wants, at which point he and kirei are no longer the same.

it was, there were a lot of wrong to what deen made , one spammable enuma elish , two the animation was rough even back then and the infamous dolphin sex.
but people need to understand , back then we were all wanting a R rated adaptation of fate ,same goes why tsukihime was hated back then.
ubw gets a pass becauses it had good animation , heaven's feel is kinda meh if you read the VN but still its understandable why some things are omitted like Rin actually rider and ayako's lesbian time.
oh and the explanation why saber isn't utilized more in UBW is because it's not her route. it's Rin's. this explains as well why fate/staynight emiya is different from UBW, it's because emiya is suppose to be the player he suppose to be the projection of what a player chooses. in stay/night route you'd pick the safe options while in UBW you pick the go fucking head straight to danger.
then there's heaven's feel route the bad end route. though you get to have a H scene with rider so that's a plus. where you get to pick the worse case scenarios , you get saber stolen , and you chose to wait and plan stuff instead of charging ahead triggering UBW route , you get your arm chopped off get archer killed and most of the servants in the game. the only one who has some what happy end in HF route is Illya.
i think in terms of VN , fate has been the weakest out of all the typemoon projects. shirou is literally a self insert character. the best for me is tsukihime , the old tsukihime not the remake. the remake has too many characters that are not really interesting.

After what he did, the monologue and the insanity that I went through by reading that part I've been at my peak interest towards the story. Great video! Btw, did you see the OVA "Sunny Day" for UBW? It depicts the other ending of the UBW route, and as a Saber fan, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Excalibur is something special, even compared to other Noble Phantasms; Shirou can't just project it, he would die from the strain and produce only a very inferior copy (which is exactly what he did in the other ending of Heavens Feel, which didnt get animated).
And yeah, I cannot recommend the Fate/stay night Visual Novel enough. The Fate route is still my favorite, the 2006 adaption didnt really do it justice with the route mixing

15:37 Shirou can't project excalibur and doing it would kill him even Archer would die from doing that the sword your thinking of is caliburn and UBW Shirou can't project that sword because he never had dreams of that sword Shirou can only project weapons that he as seen either in real life or a dream and even if he could project it it would take to much time that's why he project Archer swords because there fast to project and Archer style of fighting suits Shirou because Archer is Shirou using Caliburn in fate route almost tore off Shirou arms because copying Saber movement puts a huge strain on his body
The reason why Saber gets sidelined in UBW along with Illya is because Fate stay night is a VN so they have different routes that focus on different characters the 2006 anime is mostly the fate route which focus on Saber and Shirou UBW is Rin routes and Heavens feels is Sakura route that's why some characters die off early on in the story while others get more focus
Oh and if you want a happy ending where Saber gets to stay around with Shirou and Rin watch UBW Good end

To address some of your complaints if shirou used rule breaker on artoria alter he would have died on the spot after saving Sakura because if you remember after he used rho aias he had 2 projections left. One to save Sakura and the last one to destroy the grail which he was about to do but illya saved him
Shirou couldn't project excalibur because he never saw it in unlimited blade works and projecting Avalon 1 doesn't make him invincible he can very much die it just heals him 2 why would he project it if he already has it inside him.
Shirou copied archer because one that's one of the few weapons he did see early on and he has a natural affinity towards him because archer is Shirou

Adding that even if Shirou would stolen the Servant contract from Saber Alter, she would still tried to challenges Shirou, after all, as was showed in UBW, Artoria is a very loyal Servant to her Master, making that she won't obeys willing a new Master that stole her.
Meaning that Shirou should to spend at least two Command Spells to stop Saber Alter from slices and dices him, something that could put him in more stress in this dire situation.

They don't break it down for you in the anime, but Archer IS the version of Shiro who did Fate/Stay Night 2006.
So the point is that Shiro's beliefs are ultimately self destructive. In the Fate route his beliefs go unchallenged and the end result is he becomes Archer. Now Archer hid this, but when Ren told Archer her the morning after he was summoned, at that moment all of his memories of what happened in the Fate Route came back. By the time Shiro sees Archer and Lancer fighting he already is intending to make sure Shiro dies. In all three routes killing Shiro is his objective, but he's willing abandon his goal if it serves a greater good.
So in the UBW Route, Archer has it out for Shiro because he knows Shiro's beliefs are what lead to his outcome. So in the UBW route Shiro ends up with his beliefs challenged and he learns not to always put himself last.
Now in the Heaven's Feel route, that's the route where Shiro abandons his ideas all together.

For more things to add to the Fate series playlist I would recommend
    1. Kara no Kyoukai The Garden of Sinners which has 8 movies, 1 OVA and 1 Epilogue. Amazing series with also a lot of dark themes.
    2. Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files. Personally I wasn't the biggest fan of this one as it was coming out (mainly because I have trouble with shows I can't binge and have to wait a week for) but it does show some good stuff in this universe.
    3. Fate/Strange Fake - Whispers of Dawn. The novel only has the beginning adapted but it is confirmed that it will get a full anime adaptation. Still it is a fun movie to watch to see what is to come.
Other than that play or read any non-anime thing in the series. The anime adaptations are cool but a lot of them are missing important things from the originals.

Hey man I just wanna chime in to say that I appreciate your take on the original 2006 fate stay night.
A lot of the aforemetioned story bording was also taken straight from the visual novel, which was a fine touch that the staff added back then, and the 2006 anime also had good moments like the Archer vs Berserker fight of which was not in the visual novel so it was a nice addition, and to be this is a series that as someone who also read the visual novel, liked it quite a bit on it's own terms, and it might still be enjoyable for those who want to simply experience it in animated form
As for your complaints regarding the characterization of Saber in Unlimited blade works (and by extention, the first heaven's feel movie) is due to how this is effectively a 3 route story, so one character that got the spotlight in one story, might not get it in a different path (it's specially the case for Sakura in the first 2 routes) which at the end of the day, boils down the general issue with adapting visual novels (in other words, Unlimited blade works isn't Saber's route, but rather it is Rin's and Archer's route, make of it what you will), specially when they added elements from the ubw route which didn't have the same kind of execution of both the ubw movie by studio deen, and the ufotable adaptation, as well as adding a pseudo version of heaven's feel, that felt very awkward to me both of which that were in deen/stay night (all of which presumably because the staff back then wasn't confident about the series continuing and becoming what it is now), as for the other complaints surrounding it, the unlimited blade works story goes at lengths to straight up tell about Shirou's hypocritical ideals he took from someone else, rather than coming up with his own, as well as having Archer just hammering him the self destructive path it leads to, only to have Shirou not just fight for his selfish beliefs in, but also seek the beauty in said virtuous act, rejecting Archer's cynicism, and overcoming his broken spirit.
Granted the anime adaptation only took the show don't tell approach to Shirou's character so it's pretty easy to miss if you're only paying half attention to something like his mannerisms and the way ufotable does body language in their works, which is even more telling with their adaptations of the heaven's feel movies, as well as Kara no kyoukai which is made by same creator and adapted by the same animation studio
I don't have much to say regarding your reading of heaven's feel, rather I just wanna pull up my nerd glasses by saying that Sakura asked Shirou for intercourse not because of the worms inside her, but because of the same reason she asked to suck his finger full of blood, which is to say, she's dealing with a very small pool of energy, not just managing Rider, but also subconciously controlling the shadow itself, in other words, she needs bodily fluids to be able to stay up in the first place, this might be a bit of weird in universe lore, but this is genuinely how mana transfer works in fate, ufotable toned down this aspect in the UBW route with rin and the sequence where she gives away her crest to Shirou, because ofc having an intercourse scene in a TV series wouldn't fly (specially when it's over the top in the source material)
Overall, the fate series as a piece of media under the battle royale genre (which sadly doesn't get regocnized as such by people who are fans of the genre), has such a widely appealing concept that should at least attract the attention of the lowest common denominator with it's premise, worldbuilding, characters and action, it's a shame that the fate franchise kind of overstayed it's welcome in comparison to other series by Kinoko Nasu and Type-moon as a whole (particularly when referring to Kara no Kyoukai, Tsukihime and Mahoutsukai no Yoru), even still, it's something people who like anime should definitely at least check out.

First she can conically be summoned in any of the classes except caster in a normal holy grail war and before someone hops on me the events FGO are not normal circumstances
Second she has multiple seals on her sword that limits its power what you saw was only a fraction of the swords power
Three Saber is severely nerfed by Shirou if she was given a powerful master like Rin then only Berserker and Gilgamesh would be any real threat to her
And finally the main artist in type moon is basically the president of her fan club he loves her to the point that he uses her as a basis to draw other characters which is where we get the term Saberface

Witch on the holy night, the garden of sinners & Tsukihime there better than all the fate spin offs combined. It’s preferable if u read the novels too cause anime doesn’t do them justice with their self imposed tight ass runtime. If u need incentive this franchise is the strongest 1 in anime with their base abilities giving them immeasurable speed. & my power scaling playlist is all the proof we need. My essay playlist also proves it has the best written characters in anime especially in the girl aspect.(something shonen struggles with) Like generic anime channel’s shirou vid
