Huge BÖC fan here. Someone recommended checking out this version of "The Red and The Black", and I have got to say, this is fantastic. I love the energy of these guys.
Yes... This was at the time Foo Fighters and Hovercraft ( Vedder's side band w/his wife ) were the opening acts on the Mike Watt tour. The Foo Fighters revolved around drums, guitar for Mike Watt's set . Some songs Dave was on drums, Pat on guitar ..and so on . This was before Foo's album was out . I saw the tour in Rhode Island ..paid $8 for tickets. One of best shows I've ever been to still

@Mr.Joetatoehead Thanks homie! That wasn't half bad.
One of the best covers I know of. Better then the oringinal BOC, especially the minutemen version.
Mike Watt is the coolest bass player ever. Fucking legend!
Mike Watt, D. Boone, & George Hurley changed our lives…..
I'd been listening to Minutemen or fIREHOSE versions of this song for decades before ever hearing the BOC original.
seeing Dave on guitar post-Nirvana and pre-Foo Fighters is pretty awesome.
I've worked for Mike Watt. And I can tell you, he IS a very cool guy.
@Jon White hovercraft wasn't eddie's side project, he just sat in on drums for them
When I first saw this I was 14 rocked my whole world!saw watt and foo fighters in 94 at lupus heart break hotel providence best time of my life!
To me this really was the spirit of the Minutemen. Love that Mike has carried on with their odd little fondness for BOC. Me too.
Is just me? Because i love William Goldsmiths drumming
Nah will’s a good drummer he just didn’t really click with foo fighters
Eddie in but not singing, Dave in but not drumming. This means the singer and the drummer must be REALLY cool!
That's so cool Dave played drums and guitar for Mike watt live
Love when you ride the RUclips algorithm ❤
Love the energy!
Dave goes completely Buck Darma on this. It's a shame the whole thing didn't air!
🤘🧙♂️🤘
W. Goldsmith on drums, such a punch!
Eddie is just happy to be there
Love this 'messy' punk version ... Original recorded 1973 (?) ... Hardcore/speed metal invented by the great BÖC
The Legend that is Mike Watt!
Is that former Foo Fighters drummer William Goldsmith playing drums in this performance?

Thanks for reminding me about this oversight. Made the same mistake when I posted on my earlier channel. Cheers!
Mike Watt used to play this in the Minutemen, when they were a thing.
... I miss D. Boon, and I wasn't even born until after he died.
@@101Volts he was down with the Oyster
Phenomenal!
Eddie's so transfixed by Mike that he can't move. Propah.

William Goldsmith. Sunny Day Real Estate and Foo Fighters original drummer. He's great.
Vedder looks lost
stoned as hell
That was a brutal conclusion. Very disappointing.
Quelle bouillie !
Dave and Will’s chemistry was so good when they were playing in Mike’s band sucks that didn’t repeat for the colour and the shape lol
