I love how Thurston is having these constant revelations as he catches up with what Mike is saying. Like he's solving a word puzzle for the whole conversation.
Watching this reminded me of seeing Firehose (must have been late 80's early 90's) in Newcastle England. Anyway the day after the gig I was walking in near the town centre (where i lived on the main road in and out of the city) and I saw Mike Watt driving the van cos he opened the window and gobbed out a massive green globule ha ha
Watt was driving on the left side in the UK? Amazing. Most bands would think that would be a crazy plan but if true I've got to give Watt cred for living the DIY, jammin' econo life to the maximum
funny the first time i heard firehose i had taken l and some kids picked me up from my parents house and ragin full on was on in the car. i was like wow this is the best.
Mike watt is so pure and enjoyable to listen to.
I love the irony in Thurston saying "this won't be on RUclips"
It's so interesting to grow up with these guys and grow old with them and see how they are now. They changed my life and still do now.
I feel the same
Watt's great. There's always like a million thoughts going through his brain but he can only get out a few at a time!
just how he plays his guitar.
Who can be romantic to Mike Watt? He's only a skeleton.
dust in your wind hahaha. mike watt is a national treasure
R.I.P. Ma Boon too. Gotta say that...
Mike is perpetually stoned 😂
I love him 😍
Great conversation between two icons of the underground movement in the late 70s/early 80s. One from the east coast and the other from the West. 👍👍👍
Thanks for remembering we called it underground. Before the mainstream world invented "alternative".
@@richarddufour6824 Ugh...I might use that word for bands/artists who started in the mid/late 1990s and later, but never prior to that.

His shoes always tell a story, like he walks through gritty scenes every day of his life.
This is great. Thanks for this
Love both these guys.
This is farking wonderful... love it... xxx
I love T Rex and I love him being in the Stooges

I love how Watt calls Kim “K”.

Watt rules
Yeah yeah= next question.😻🦉❤ Every Watt comment involves experience. Not hot air.
Hah! Watt was an acid eater!!!
Watt is right about the bass on UK recordings
I missed that part and can't find it. What did he say about that?
"this is not going to be on youtube thankfully" -thurston moore after mistaking someone for being dead in this video
Watt is too fidgety with his hands makes me fukn nervous.
I know. He’s so annoying. He acts this way in a lot of his interviews
What lol
