Genesis is genius for all time. Let Phil drink or sit on a chair -0 it doesn't matter anymore. They created masterpieces forever. God Bless Genesis. I have collected all genesis vinyl records. There is apple music and spotify in the iPhone - Genesis will always be with me always and everywhere.
Allthough this is hard to watch i still want to thank Phill and the band for their remarkable and significant contributions they have given to the world of music.
I'm unlikely to see this tour but thankfully did manage to see everything from Duke to We Can't Dance; inc Knebworth 92 which was superb. I hope everyone enjoys this current tour as much as we all did back then.
Technically all his wives did in one way or another. His first wife was the reason Phil ended up having an affair on his 2nd wife which ultimately caused him to quit the UK (after a fax he sent to her, ended up in the paper somehow, hmmm ) just after he met Orrianne, which finally finished his 2nd marriage. Poor guy.
All i'm going to say is .. I am very grateful to have seen Genesis on the Turn it Up Again tour Sept. 23, 2007 Verizon Center Washington D.C. It was an incredible show. The only song I wished they'd have played was Abacab but that's ok because the rest of the setlist was stellar. Although I wouldn't pay to see this tour live, I am happy to see Phil doing what he loves, and that is perform. We have lost SO many incredible musicians the last couple years (ie. Neil Peart, Edward Van Halen, Joey Jordison etc..) so I'm extremely thankful we still have the legendary Phil Collins on this earth breathing air.
I was at that show as well since I was living in northern Virginia at the time. It was a fantastic show. I even had a soundboard recording of it once. That’s the Genesis I want to remember.
I just want to remember them as they were... one of the REAL bands who's music was groundbreaking and shaped my life musically... I love seeing Phil here on video, but I want to remember him as the driving force after Peter left... This actually makes me very emotional, as he's still got that spirit that made him such an icon... much love
This makes me sad I never got to see them in their prime years, man! Phil is doing his best, but it's just not there anymore. I was debating trying to get to the eastern US for a show this year (since I live in Arizona, and unless they change their mind, they're not coming out west), but I may reconsider, considering how much of a pain it would be for me to even try to get out there as it is, what with all the other stuff I have going on until the end of the year. Regardless, thank you guys for all the music throughout my youth and my life, both you Phil and Genesis as a whole!
im sad too.remember in my youth being allowed a morning off school to go and queue in our home city Birmingham UK to see them.Tickets sold out a few rows ahead of us!!! we were devastated! God bless the guys thanks for the music of my youth!! love you phil!
you have to go please go and I am going to manchester UK tomorrow 25th and also Liverpool 4th October they are my all time band its the best farewell show ever go watch it live not on youtube sounds better in the hall xx
I saw them in Madison square garden last week, brilliant, absolutely brilliant! Phil was outstanding and mike , nick, tony and Daryl are absolute masters in their craft.

Eu fui no show do Phill no Allianz Park em São Paulo, foi maravilhoso, que Jesus continue o abençoando grandemente a ele e ao Gênesis, amo vocês de mais 🥂🍾🇧🇷🇧🇷👏👏🥰🥰
People need to remember that before Phil came out of retirement he was having a real bad alcohol problem. And it it got so bad that it nearly killed him (Phil's mentioned this in a few interviews himself). So I'd rather see Phil sitting on a stool and singing on stage even if his singing isn't as good as it used to be than see him drinking himself to death.
There were things that preceded his alcoholism that may have caused him to turn to booze. The divorce, his retirement, surgery and nerve damage. However, sadly, his drinking situation hasn’t improved; he spends much of his time at home drunk. I’m sure his drinking issues have something to do with his vocal and cognitive abilities.
I was sceptical of this tour when it was announced, I bought my first genesis album in Birmingham flea market for 2 quid because the seller was skint and I was looking for anything new I hadn’t heard before, it was the double live album seconds out, I loved it even though I’m a massive heavy metal/ thrash fan etc, I even just got a new t shirt of the seconds out album cover, sad for some I know but I am 50 now, when this tour was announced I thought why? But after watching this whole show I’m thinking, well done, does it matter there pretty much all in there 70’s? There still living the dream and doing a damn good job of it, the rest of us can only dream!! Kudos genesis
