Today's generation is wasted and lost in the fake world, the only one they know; social media. No real interactions, no real life experiences, no hand skills, no mud, sweat and tears in their lives. I'm sad for them.
I'm 46 y old I remember first time I heard this song I was young kid even I'm not an English tongue but the keyboard and the music was like from another planet to me
Invisible Touch the Album is one of the greatest musical offerings of the 80’s by any group, any genre. This record in my eyes just confirms it. Magnificent.
I wish that there really were a hot tub time machine, how I'd like to go back to the 80's, a time before any of this virus/Great Reset came about,.....sure capitalism/greed were present, far from great I know but at least we were all kind of free and could openly speak/air a difference of opinion.
It's been with me since the early 90s as a young child in Central Germany. His music is timeless and wiser than first thought. hopefully it will stay with us for a very long time.❤️🌞🍀
When Genesis started to do more pop songs they really never gave up on the musicianship and progresiveness of their early work. The bridge in the central part is so thrilling and masterful and shows how great composers and arrangers they are..
What are you on about pop songs. The ending of this song from 430 onwards to me sounds more like motorhead than any so called pop band!! Live in the real world!
Well, whenever I want to listen to this song, I open the mp3 I ripped to itunes in november 2007... from the CD I bought sometime in the early 90s (got the vinyl back in 1986) ;-)
I love this song and the way Phil Collins sings so expressive!! I love the part of the song at 3:19.. Mysterious, dark, and also the lyrics are very deep
@UserNo84 jokes on you Phil Collins is in the list of rolling stone 100 greatest drummers of all time. Sure Danny is higher in the list but Phil Collins is never average in any way.
@@shahaffiq5860 gating drums and putting reverb on it is kinda more of a production thing I play drums for more than half of my life now and (Im 28) I studied music and I assure you that Danny is a better drummer in every way. Phil knows how to make something catchy which is cool but his ideas are basically so simple that everyone can get them which isn't bad but danny manages to make something complex available to everyone he opened up a whole universe of possibilities.
The part between 3:20 and 5:20 is something of best ever made in music. overwhelming. inspiring. killing...... just wonderful. something like a modern interpretation of jazz
A Genesis Classic in every respect. Dark and melancholic, as a lot of great prog music pieces were and still are. This is as good as anything that was done by this band in any incarnation.
@@carlosalbertososapogonza277 Yes Sir You're , Thousands percent All Musicians are Great No matter genres Don't worry I have all Genesis Tracks Thank You
This song is superb. From the dark and ominous drum machine, synth sequence by Banks, Collins electro drums and Rutherfords electric guitar intro, and Collins exceptional vocals; Tonight, Tonight, Tonight is a remarkable track. Tony and Mike provide the most atmospheric, edge of the seat bridge, and then Collins vocals explode. Collins once said in an interview that the song is a story about a man on the edge, looking to score, but torn between addiction and wanting to go cold turkey. Rutherford's guitar solo in the outro is true perfection.
In the air tonight, mama, and this mega spectacular spine tingling masterpiece,😀stand out for me,as well as all his and genesis chart busting hits😍😍a true 80s legend whose music will live on through the decades🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶
Way back in 1987 I remember my son who was 2 yrs old then I use to play this no every night while he sleeps in d night .n he became a great music lover. Thanks Phil.
Same here. Can't stand the most modern music. The last good era of music were the 90s. After the year 2000 most of the music became worse and worse and started to sound the same.
Guys, I'm like 45 now. That being said, the first album (vinyl), was Invisible Touch. Also, I'm an Aussie, so my dear Mum took me to see Phil Collins when I was 12. That was an awesome experience! I yelled out at the top of my lungs," onya Phil!" And lovely man that he is, called back," thank you very much up there!". So I was so stoked for that interaction! Anyway, I'm a metal guitarist, but Genesis freaking rock!😁
Ja, der beste Song von Genesis. Top.
Screw what Todd in the Shadows says, "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" is such an underrated, awesome, beautiful, eerie, suspenseful & atmospheric song, & no internet yank who never bothers to show his face should say such mean things!
“Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.”

80's - deeper adult voice
90's - grandpa voice

When a band has so much talent it only needs 3 members
From 5 to 4 to and then there were 3.

Thanks Patrick Bateman
Definitely kept their prog identity
You’re so right. One can hear their amazing musicianship in every composition they have made.

Words don't describe the awesomeness of Genesis. The drums and the synths are just epic!!
Just not the drums in this track, perhaps ;)
Such a powerful song! And Phil’s voice !!! Simply amazing. 👏🏻
Qué pieza más brutal, un excelente disco de Phil Collins con Génesis de mitad de los 80s, no se me olvida. Genial!
Creo q se usó para la serie Miami Vice el tema
What a fucking decade were the 80s, so melancolic music
.......so gooood!
"Invisible Touch" is from 1986.
I still stand with my opinion that the best decade was not the '80s or the '90s but it was 1985-1994
Freaking brilliance !
This album is definitely one of their best if not the best it belongs to any decade in the future ❤️
Il più grande di tutti ❤
I absolutely adore and love this song the way phil sings and the band is a masterpiece ❤🎉
Genesis pra sempre 👏👏👏👍👍👍
I'm stunned that this only has a million 1/2 views - this is a dark brooding masterpiece from the best decade in music. 80's forever!
