Everytime Alfie said “you are the support network of the pregnant person in your life” or “congratulations to you for being pregnant” etc I it made me feel really awkward and like I should not be watching this video because I’m not pregnant and I also don’t know anyone personally who is currently pregnant 🤣🤣 I’m just here to hear Alfie’s experience of the first trimester 🥺😅 anyone else? Hahaha
I really appreciate your use of inclusive language. I can tell it is intentional and means a lot to those of us who show up as partners and parents and supporters of a pregnant person.
I always imagined I’d cry when I got a positive test, but instead I paced around the house for an hour before leaving for work just going “holy shit I’m pregnant. I’m actually pregnant. We’re gonna have a baby, I’m pregnant.”
The one thing I keep thinking about it how great Zoe and Alfie’s partnership is. They are truly partners, on the same team, handling things together. For some odd reason that is so rare and I’m so thankful to observe it. Love you guys so much!!
This is so refreshing. As someone who has been trying to have kids for years. I have watched ALOt of RUclips pregnancy content. I never realized how much the partner perspective is missing until you mentioned it. I am so glad you did this.
i really hope they name her something with an M since it’s the middle of the alphabet and obviously their names are Alfie and Zoe 🤣 something like Millie! Millie Deyes omg
i was literally thinking the exact same thing 😂 and they have the most perfect last name for first names, everything sounds so cute with it. millie, mollie, mila, maisie
"its ok to feel like you don't know" Is the best life advice anyone can give you. Doesn't have to be about pregnancy, with anything in life, IT IS OK to not know.
I’m pregnant. Also due in September. I really respect that you brought up not knowing what to do, who to tell, who to call, etc after finding out. It’s an odd feeling. You’re so incredibly excited and want to share that. Yet, you realize it’s so early.
toxic masculinity is very much a thing in my family and it's so so so nice to see you talk like this and hear that there's better people out there then the ones I'm used to.
Alfie: "no one wants to listen to me rambling for an hour" me: *slowly lowers hand*...yeah...totally... of course not... I want to listen to you ramble for an hour!!
I’m in my first trimester of my first pregnancy right now and having an awful time, and I cannot tell you how much I sobbed at the part where you were talking about the positives of the near future and feeling okay again....those days feel like they are never going to come but it’s so good to hear people say that it will all be okay in the end 🤍
it’s so nice to get the partners perspective on this, well done alfie. i cant help but have the biggest grin on my face hearing you speak about the pregnancy and baby. you and zoe are so lucky to have each other!!
I've been watching your videos for years now Alfie, and I'm clearly not the target for the pregnancy ones (I never wanted children and I'm very happy that I sticked to my choice) : but I loved this one ! ;-) Your perspective on this adventure is very interesting, you're a very nice and supportive person (as we already knew, but it's an additional confirmation ;-) and I'm sure this video will be very helpful for people who are expecting, AND interesting for people who are not.
Zoe is incredibly lucky to have a partner like Alfie and I'm pretty sure shes aware of that. This type of videos is useful in a massive way bc i have married couples around me and any of them is gonna get pregnant anytime now . THANK YOU for sharing and providing such content
This is actually extremely helpful and reassuring. I would show my boyfriend this if we were expecting. I think there needs to be more perspective from the partner during pregnancy. As important the pregnant woman is during the pregnancy, many people forget about the partner and their feelings and concerns. So it’s refreshing to put the spotlight on the partner for a change.
Alfie just flashed back 25 years to my pregnancy I was told I would never have a child so when I was so sick they didn’t do a pregnancy check. At 12 weeks of severe vomiting I was put in hospital due to dehydration due to vomiting 24/7 it was then I found out. I was so shocked and my partner nearly collapsed he thought we would never have a child so it changed everything. I was sick the whole pregnancy right up to the csection only put on one kilo whole pregnancy but had the most healthy adorable little girl. Thanks Alfie for reminding me and sharing your side it was so awesome and beautiful. Loads of love leisa xx
I have nobody in my life who's pregnant or even trying but this is such a valuable knowledge that i'm sure will come in useful in the future. Thank you Alfie for bringing this to us :)
This was timed (probably unintentionally) with Mother’s Day in North America 💞 I’m glad to hear your perspective of being a wonderful support system for the person who is pregnant. Thank you for sharing what it looks like to be an encouraging and honest partner!
I'm due just a few weeks after Zoe and I have to say how INCREDIBLY lucky she is to have you! Your mindset around staying positive and trying to instill that in her is the absolute best thing you could choose to do for her. I was sick 5+ times a day in my first trimester and had to go on medications just to be able to keep nutrients in my body and it was one of the hardest times I've been through. I fell into a depression because, just as Zoe said, I couldn't imagine feeling better and couldn't remember what it was like to be able to get up off the couch during the day! Such a great video and such great advice! Thank you for making this and congratulations to you you both 💗
Thank you so much for this. I'm 27 weeks and my partner is in the Navy the draft he is on means he's away for 6 weeks and then home for 3 on rotation - he's missed 18 weeks of this pregnancy and it saddens me. I try to make him feel as involved as I can, but this has really helped me rehearse in my head how to approach a conversation with him about his feelings. He's an absolute angel when he's home, but I worry how him being away so much has affected him. Thankfully he's only got one more time of 6 weeks away before baby is due. All my best to you and Zoe!
Zoe hit the nail on the head with the “I can’t remember what it feels like to not feel like this”. My first trimester was unbelievably overwhelming and I kept waiting in the second trimester to feel myself again thinking it would be gradual and around 12 weeks but it really did just happen over night. Around week 18 for me. My partner, just like you, was amazing in my first trimester. I’m now as of today in my third trimester and my partner is really starting to up the support again. He must be able to tell when I need the extra love and help which in itself is amazing of him. I feel very lucky as I’m sure Zoe does to have your support without having to beg for it as so many women unfortunately do. I love that you’re doing these videos. It’ll be nice for my partner to watch and nice for me to better understand how all of this has been for him!
Oi Oi, Alfie! All I wanted to say is that I'm bloody proud (and happy) of you! This is brilliant! It's very honest, amazing and important to hear where you stand on this and how gracious you have been. Congrats, man!
I am amazed and so happy that you are actually taking the time and supporting her fully. I can’t begin to tell you how many individuals I have seen who take this experience for granted and not support their partners and it’s heart breaking. But I just love this video, it is inspirational and beyond helpful to anyone who is nervous. Thank you for this wonderful video.
You said there are ppl talking about their feelings when having a first or another child. Can I suggest you a podcast of one of my favorite creators in you tube? The Try Guys!! He and his wife are in the second season of their podcast “baby steps”! In their first season they talk about the pregnancy if she is having (the second one) and about how it was the first time and in the case one it’s now raising two kids. You are not the only one nor the first Alfie, so I believe you will find it very helpful and also so funny cause it’s focused on both parents with episodes dedicated!! GO LISTEN!!!!!
I'm a mom of 2 and it's so interesting to get your perspective as a first time dad to be. I totally feel what you are saying about the test. We were trying both times but as you wait for it to do its thing you are terrified to see those two lines. 😅
Thanks, you're going to be an amazing dad. You're already a great partner, unfortunately not every partner is that much supporting. Zoe is really lucky ❤
Bless you Alfie!!! It’s one of my great wishes for the world that every pregnant woman would have as supportive a partner as you’ve been to Zoe. She and Baby Girl Deyes are so lucky to have you there for them. 🙂
I can't tell you how thankful I am for this video! When me and my partner was pregnant we could find nothing to help him through each stage. It's so nice to hear how supportive you are towards Zoe and your little girl girl. Your heart is so pure. ❤ can't wait to follow you throughout this incredible time. X
This honestly hit me hard...I'm not pregnant but being nearly 30 I'm starting to think more about my future and having children. I have such an amazing partner who has been amazing support! I really hope that one day I can share the experience with him, just like you and Zoe! I think you guys have made me more broody though...uh oh! 😅😂
Watching this as the pregnant person I found it so validating. You explained things so perfectly but also reassured everything I’ve been feeling. Will definitely be asking my husband to watch this!
This is a great idea!! More partners need to hear this from another person going through being a partner. Also, it encourages them to be there and understand without the pregnant person asking for support. Way to go Alfie!! Keep these videos coming. :)
I love that you made this video. It is a shame that they're are not a lot of other resources or people sharing their experiences from the partners experience
I am REALLY happy to see how happy you are. Just look at your smiley face during the entire video... this is lovely! And yes there are no videos like this one... anywhere. It’s always the pregnant mum saying everything she needs and want. Going to see Zoe’s video right now! 💜
Would love to see a chat with Rose (of Rose & Rosie) about your overall experiences as the partner of someone who is in the middle of pregnancy. Thoughts on becoming parents for the first time. Anything from the non-pregnant person's perspective. You two I think would have an interesting dynamic and really a cool unique conversation between you both.
Alfie, you are such an amazing role model for not just partners in pregnancy but partners in life. So proud of you for who you are and who you have become. Keep on keepin' on! 👏👏😃
Everyone deserves their own Alfie, it's amazing to see how supportive you are! THIS is how a relationship should be. Such a blessed child to have the two of you as her parents, she will grow up to be very kind and caring person ❤️
Loved hearing this from the partners perspective. My other half (soon to be husband in just over a week 🙈) felt so lost when I was pregnant. I feel like men need to speak out more about this topic. 😊
Hey I’ve never really watched your content, but my baby boy is due end on august. But your videos recently have been so good it’s so nice to see and hear someone talk about the same emotions and experience as I am currently it’s really helped I’m not alone
thank you for sharing your journey with pregnancy, it's incredibly interesting to see the perspective of the other partner in the relationship. just loving all of the baby content recently!!

I absolutely loved this, as someone who has had a kid, it's helped me understand pregnancy from my partner's point of view. He's not a very expressive person and never talks about how it was for him! So this video was so helpful for me!
✨ manifesting ✨ a boyfriend as supportive as Alfie

This is the ultimate zalfie callab

Petition for the hourlong video xx
Alfie: "no one wants to listen to me rambling for an hour"
me: *slowly lowers hand*...yeah...totally... of course not...
I want to listen to you ramble for an hour!!
I was smiling the whole time, this is honestly so wholesome.
I think we all want to listen to you chat for an hour
Such a refreshing side of Alfie. Zoe is so lucky

You are a good man, who appreciates family. Some don't unfortunately...this was a great video and we would have listened for the hour version as well.
Alfie it is so clear how much you love Zoe. It makes me so happy to watch!

Why am I getting emotional. I’m just so happy for you all and seeing how caring you are to Zoe on your own is just amazing🥺🙏🏼

can’t believe i’ve literally been watching u since i was 7 years old and still here today :))
you can tell Alfie was raised right

Dont normally see partners perspective? i never thought about it ... interested to watch :)
Sad that so many never get this kind of wonderful pregnancy support system and experience. You two are very very very lucky.
I love the concept of this video, love to hear the other side !!
You are a role model for so many men
That ball analogy is very interesting. Funny but true!
Alfie : "You can see my little girl in September"
Me : OMG I CANNOT WAIT!!!!
💛Bless you on this journey Alfie💛
I'm sure others can agree with me. We all would love to sit here and listen for an hour ☺️
What a good man you are! A lot of women are not that lucky! You are stepping up for your young family!
I'm a mom of 2 and it's so interesting to get your perspective as a first time dad to be.
I totally feel what you are saying about the test. We were trying both times but as you wait for it to do its thing you are terrified to see those two lines. 😅
Alfie up in here stepping up the game for all the birth partners out there! 🤣
Thanks, you're going to be an amazing dad. You're already a great partner, unfortunately not every partner is that much supporting. Zoe is really lucky ❤
I just love how awkward he get when he talks about sex 😂
Bless you Alfie!!! It’s one of my great wishes for the world that every pregnant woman would have as supportive a partner as you’ve been to Zoe. She and Baby Girl Deyes are so lucky to have you there for them. 🙂

This video is adorable. Alfie’s excitement is infectious ☺️
Just wanted to say that we would listen to you for 1 hour 🤩
I still haven’t taken this in properly, I’m living in a dream right??
Very refreshing!! Thank you for your honesty Alfie, you’re going to be a great dad 😊
Thank you for being so inclusive!

As a young girl in my 20s thanks so much Alfie for this video. It’s so less talked and this video made me emotional!
I have been waiting for this video ever since Zoe’s one 😌
I am REALLY happy to see how happy you are. Just look at your smiley face during the entire video... this is lovely! And yes there are no videos like this one... anywhere. It’s always the pregnant mum saying everything she needs and want. Going to see Zoe’s video right now! 💜

Love this video, brilliant idea :)
Wait until Zoe’s 9 months pregnant and you google things like ‘do babies drink water?’😅
been waiting for this. so excited for this gonna grab my popcorn and watch. Edit:
I appreciate the openness ❤
so much respect for you, alfie. wish every man was like you
What a baby!!! I haven't been watching for awhile. I missed a lot.
thank you for this video i'm a french midwife stud and I really am grateful that you shared your pov, which is so important. Wish you all the best
Everyone deserves their own Alfie, it's amazing to see how supportive you are! THIS is how a relationship should be.
Such a blessed child to have the two of you as her parents, she will grow up to be very kind and caring person ❤️
Heyyy, really enjoying the pregnancy content, can’t wait to see you become amazing parents x
I've never seen anything like this so it's going to be interesting!! So happy for you both ☺
Loved hearing this from the partners perspective. My other half (soon to be husband in just over a week 🙈) felt so lost when I was pregnant. I feel like men need to speak out more about this topic. 😊
I am LOVING all of the baby videos - you and Zoe are going to be the best parents!!👶
Stay safe everyone Xx😷
I wish my boyfriend was like Alfie😂 very good to hear as well for women that we do need support
Hey I’ve never really watched your content, but my baby boy is due end on august. But your videos recently have been so good it’s so nice to see and hear someone talk about the same emotions and experience as I am currently it’s really helped I’m not alone
I love the fact you can't stop smiling. Lots of love
thank you for sharing your journey with pregnancy, it's incredibly interesting to see the perspective of the other partner in the relationship. just loving all of the baby content recently!!
Great video Alfie! Also I think everybody reading this wants to see the hour long version haha! So happy for you and Zoe xx
What if we did want to hear you chatting for an hour! You’re amazing Alfie 🙏 just amazing that you’re providing this perspective.
love how supportive you are of Zoe xx
Oh Alfie, you are an amazing partner and I am so very happy for Zoe that she has you on her side. If only more partners were as selfless and compassionate and helpful as you are it would make their life so much nicer.
I got so excited for you in listening to your thoughts and dealings with this glorious time in life. You are absolutely correct, no where near enough folk talk about pregnancy as much as I think or wish they would from the supportive partner’s point of view. For the mom to be there are so many times in my experience at least, that you’re absolutely right, you felt ill so much of the time, I had morning sickness that lasted my entire first pregnancy. I ended up losing 20 pounds during pregnancy not good but I couldn’t help it. It was decades ago, before there were medicines to help out much but my point is it would have been just so incredible had I had the type of support that you are encouraging the supporting team with the pregnant one. It would have eased so many anxieties for me.
To the two of you I’ve told you both before in a previous vlog, I am so excited for you and it’s very funny but one of my very first thoughts for you was, this is awesome, the next time they come to the United States they need to go and see Roman and Britney and then their little girl can meet Knox, Roman and Britney‘s youngest addition to the family. You are living in an incredibly fascinating, magical time in the medical field and pregnancy has always just been such a miracle sent from Heaven that ,well, I just get excited watching you experiencing it. With all of the wonderful tech knowledge I pray nothing wrong is ever found but that it is the very best experiences and results in future for the three of you and I hope you continue to be Zoe‘s light and inspiration. You could be a great influence around so many others with such a beautiful attitude like yours. God love and bless you all with a very healthy, happy baby and Zoe and Allie.... Congratulations again. YOU ARE GOING TO BE THE MOST INCREDIBLY PRECIOUS PARENTS!!! 💙❤️🥰👶🏻🍼🌺🌺
Loved this thank you, and just wanna say I would happily watch the hour long version:)
Can’t wait for the zalfie baby 👶
this is the cutest video ever! so happy for you guys!
Good, solid advice delivered in a calm, caring manner. Great job!
Alfie: Congratulations!!
Me as an 18 year old who's not pregnant and just watching this because I like Alfie: ............thankssss
Love hearing your perspective Alfie 👶🏼
I absolutely loved this, as someone who has had a kid, it's helped me understand pregnancy from my partner's point of view. He's not a very expressive person and never talks about how it was for him! So this video was so helpful for me!
I’m really glad you brought up the last point. It’s soooooo important and it makes a massive difference.
