Did your little miniature solar panel setup on your outdoor meshtastic node work? I just built out a little system in a Plano box but my solar panel is huge compared to yours. Does yours actually keep the battery charged? Including on cloudy days and bad weather with little Sun?
Unfortunately I placed the solar panel on a limb of a tree that shaded it too much so I never got a very good test, short answer is it was not enough to keep it charged
@@McShakyFPV I've seen some people work out systems with small solar panels like that before but they have almost all been with custom built nodes not t-beams... I have six t beams and they all seem very battery hungry. Can't get more than 24hours out of a single battery. The solar panel I have works pretty decent, hasn't been tested through a snow storm yet so I can't say for sure if it will work in extremes. been running for about a month without issues though... I wired in two 18650 batteries to extend the life when it doesn't get sun, hopefully that will buy enough time for the sun to come back out. I put it out day one with only 10% charge, average day not super bright outside but not cloudy either. By 4:00 p.m. that day it was up to 80% checked back the next day at 4:00 p.m. and it was 100%. I've seen it drop as low as 30% on a really cloudy day but usually by the next day the sun is back out and it goes back to 100% by the time the sun is setting. Iv been toying with the idea of buying a 9000mAh 3.7v flat cell style battery. That would fit in my Plano box and give me plenty of battery backup when there isn't adequate enough sunlight for several days.
@@PracticalTacticalSheepDog Do you have your settings to never sleep because a default configuration should last about three days on a typical 18650 battery
@@McShakyFPV so I finally got the Android app updated on my phone and can now adjust the sleep period, any recommendations for how long I should have it sleep?
There is no "factory reset" for the tbeam. You can put the originally shipped programming on it using any esp32 programming software and the code from their github: github.com/LilyGO/TTGO-T-Beam

Are the T-Beam Supreme S and M variants on lilygo exactly the same except for the firmware that ship on them?
Yes S comes with softRF and M comes with Meshtastic loaded.
I have the oppoite goal to reach. What I have to do if I want to revert from Meshtastic to Softrf?
Same thing just get the code from github.com and upload it instead of meshtastic.
