I agree. Everyone involved, except the shooter, should be charged with accessory. The shooter hopefully gets life in prison and he will never see the light of day again. You act like an animal, you get treated like an animal! And I also support holding those accountable who let this POS walk the streets, his freedom should have been taken away years ago. It's sad this couple lost their lives over probably something minute! Sad.... Our Criminal Justice System needs to be revamped
They are guilty of what is called felony murder. Every participant goes down as it was he or she that pulled the trigger. Conspirators should be joined not just as felony murder defendants, but as full fledged defendants to a case of premeditated first degree murder. With all due respect, the people particpating in pulling the victims cannot be accessories, as accessory liability attaches for actions taken to support, conceal or comfort the perpetrator after the crime is complete. They are called "accessories after the fact". Some people who pulled victims could also be accessories after the fact, not because of direct particpation, but because they provided assistance later.

Everybody that ran up on that car, did not have the "intent" to kill the victim's. The only person that had the "intent" was the suspect that had the gun. So if you were on video next to that car when the shooting took place, should the police arrest you for 1st degree murder as well. The first thing you're going to say is that, you didnt know the suspect had a gun. You didnt know he was going to shoot them. You didnt put your hands on any of the victims. So how would the cops be able to prove you played a role in their deaths beyond a reasonable doubt.

The Cook County States Attorney is Kim Foxx, also known as Crimesha Foxx in this area. She never met a person of color who she didn't think was worth keeping out of prison, crime be damned. Normally I say this serves the people right who voted her in office, and then re-elected her for a second term. But these two innocent people were gunned down for no reason and left behind children who will grow up with a huge void in their lives. This is something that cannot be fixed. Vote the weak, racist States Attorney out and put someone in there who will be tough on violent offenders.

I refuse to believe that we can’t respect the rights of the accused and keep the thugs off the streets.
Increase the penalties. Pursue every case for which there is evidence.
And stop paroling violent people back into the community.
Parole them into a highly monitored and secure community where they must work enough to provide for their own needs. Like a farming community. And they must respect the rights of other residents.
And they cannot function in a small, controlled community like that, they are not ready to live in a free society and they go back to serve the rest of their sentence in a real prison.
Maybe first time offenders go to such a community instead of prison.
I think some criminals in Scandinavia have to go live on such a farm instead of prison. Maybe we should be both tougher and more constructive.

Am a Muslim, don't know anything about the taliabs and stuff but what I do know is that the sharia laws are the best of law. Think about it, would you rather prevent a problem or cause it and then later have to deal with it? The punishments in those laws are hard to drive you away from committing crimes, that's why in Saudi Arabia you are able to leave your belongings outside and come back 2 days after and still find it if someone has not turned it in to the police. I'm a black man resident of Chicago westside I enjoy going to this parade they have always welcome me and my friends this story completely broke my heart and I'm so glad they caught this guy hopefully we can come together and get all these type of thugs off our streets so we can enjoy Chicago the right way 💪🏾
