  • Here is my second video on this MotoTec 36v 1000w Li-Ion electric mini dirt bike. With the weather finally warming up and the snow and ice is melting there is now some dirt and mud to play on. So far the bike is doing really well. Something I didn't put in the video is that I need to tighten the chain because it has come off of the sprocket a few times. Not hard to do just have to do it and show my son on how to tighten the chain. As I say in the video the bike is good besides the "limp mode" not really being a limp mode. I'm not sure if we just haven't noticed it but maybe we will once we turn the power and speed up all the way we will notice it then.
If you are someone wondering if this is worth the money and would be a good bike for something to learn on and have fun with then consider this option.
Note: if you live in Hawaii or Alaska I would suggest to order it from BikeBerry.com because they have a way to ship the bike to these locations. Since there is a Li-Ion battery in it FedEx can not and will ship it through the air so it will have to be shipped freight if shipping out of the continental U.S. .

Im thinking about getting this for my 8 year old. Says seat hieght is 24.4. Did you find that to be accurate? And would you buy it again? Im also not sure what dealer im going to use if you have someone who ships to texas and is respectable.

I think for an 8-9 yr old the 36v would be a good one to start on. I have 2 36v and one 48v.
The seat height is pretty accurate. The range and power of the bike is something to learn on and ride in a field or gravel road or something. These aren’t really monster power machines made to rip through the trails. My kids have fun on them. I need to make another video here soon of a ride.

I’m looking to buy this for my son he is 120 pounds and 5,10 was that the fastest it goes?

Correct that was the fastest. These bikes are not the ripping around the trails bikes. These are ride around the neighborhood and the dirt road kind of bikes. I think 5' 10" is starting to get a bit big for these especially the 36v

Do you think this is a good fit for a 12 year old?

Good question. My 12 year old daughter who is decently tall can ride it but she fits the 1500w much better and it also has a bit more power for the weight of a bigger kid.

I think the 36v would be too small

      @@DrXBloomGaming how about the 48V 1600W

@@axxelll-l As in the 48v my 13 year old daughter who is at least 5'3" can ride it and it will scoot her around. I ride it around 6' 180lbs; but I would not say it fits her or me correctly though. My description may not be helpful but I don't want to give you bad information. These bikes are a fun toy to learn the basics of riding a motorcycle. I need to add an update video and I will in the day or so.

Can this be ridden by 200lb person?

This is a good question. Up hills no. I weigh 180 and can zip around a field and stuff or a dirt road but there is no torque to pull that weight up a hill and the suspension is compressed with my weight. These bikes do not have a lot of torque for hill climbing or excess weight. I think they are rated up to like 130 or something to that but I'am not sure.
