This was my magical moment forever on Strictly;;have watched it from the beginning and for me they killed it :) He looked so confidant and was so enjoying himself...awesome that they won x
Love this dance - of course it is almost an exact copy of the dance in the film, but Flavia and Louis did a brilliant job.

As many other great moments as there have been in 100 years of recorded dance, I'm pretty sure that lift is now the Crowning Moment of Awesome.
Absolutely professional and a gorgeous routine. I'm so thrilled they won, its just made my year. I watch this show every year. I truly believe they deserved every vote. The judges had their own favourite (Denise and James) and I'm so thrilled the public came through and showed the judges. Its not about having favourites, its about who truly deserved that trophy. Well done to both of them!

Absolutely enchanting cheeky contemporary salsa and courage to hold on his own with beautiful and amazing Pro , Flavia made him the Champion in such a tightly contested Strictly , all finalists up at the zenith of their performances. What a night, we love you ALL !

Patrick Swayze God rest his soul would be so proud to pass the batton on to such a pair. Well done to both of them. Swayze broke both his knees doing this, luckily Louis did not. Beautiful. Loved it.

For anyone commenting that it's not fair as he's a gymnast....if only you knew how hard it is to get gymnasts to dance!
Yeah...the biggest problem with the gymnasts is that they're not relaxed enough to really get into the dance like an actor or a singer would...the same thing happened to Aly Raisman...technically a very good dancer, but she had a hard time loosening up and really feeling the music ♥♥♥
Agreed! It's the core training that does it. Gymnastics work their core extremely hard; not that dancers don't too, but gymnastics must keep their hips and shoulders directly in line whereas dancers isolate and co-ordinate the movements of the body, hips and shoulders going opposite ways etc. It's just completely against all of their training for gymnasts to do this! It's certainly not an advantage to be a gymnast, other than in moves that require flexibility.
fantastischfish And for that matter, figure skaters aren't really at an advantage either...sure they do some tricks in their routines, but like with gymnasts, it's all about keeping the core straight and not showing much expression on your face....the opposite of what dancing is ♥♥♥
True, although I might argue that there's a slight advantage as they use their arm lines similarly to dancers and use far more turn-out in their feet, legs ad hips than gymnasts do. What a pair of nerds we are!!!

JUst can't believe how much better this dance was second time round!! it was good the first time so i didnt think it could get anybetter!!! :) he was the most improved in the final and he also put alot more into the dances than they already had! :) well deserved win louis and flavia! :)he was the best on the night and through out the series! :)

So glad he won! I remember watching the first week when they did the cha cha and me and my mum were sitting on the sofa like O_O because we'd never seen a male celebrity with such good hip action in the first week on strictly before! But the salsa had to beone of my favourites as was the charleston. But they really deserved to win so I'm just glad that they did!

This is as good as Bindi & Derek's routine to this on DWTS 😍😍 can't choose the better one
For me it's not quite at the same level as Mark Ramprakash's salsa (which never fails to make me smile) but it definitely has serious wow factor. I almost (only almost) preferred it to their showdance but Louis' 3 performances on final night were top class. Certainly in this round he was the only one i thought had improved

Is it me or were there lots of samba elements in this dance? I'm not an expert at all and I don't know the technical names for the moves but the ones were you move backwards in sync and lift a knee up and the line with the crossing feet I thought were typical samba style.
Not Samba. Mambo... which is Salsa, but with a frame and slightly different timing.

He pulled it out the bag in the final. Thought overall he was the best on the night! But maybe over the whole series Kim and Pasha had the chemistry, so for me I kinda had them tied for 1st place.

Loads more content than the original Salsa. He improved both of the dances he had done before in this final and his Showdance was a thing of beauty. Deserved winner in my book, though the standard of this final was off the scale. Dani Harmer would have won in many seasons of Strictly but was 4th here. Denise and Kimberley were sensational. No disrespect to Bruce(he's left his footprint in this country's show business history), but maybe somebody else should present now:Claudia Winkleman?
