So you don’t cut the pvc pipe at all right. It’s one piece of pipe that goes from the top to the bottom shelf you just screw it in place once you have the correct air gap for the tubs?
Hey so the pipe I got was 10 feet high. I did cut it down to 5 feet. So I got two 10 feet to make four 5 feet pipes. Then I screwed them in when I got the right air gap.
Ok ,please explain more about what you did with the DVDs please more info on why you use them I am most definitely going to be making something like that I'm getting into owning and breeding hog noses please and thank you
So I use the dvd to make a little gap between the tub and the top. Its for air flow and so the tubs are easier to slide. Any other questions feel free to ask.
I haven't had any problems with it been unstable. I have only done eight levels myself. I have see others do more and doesnt seem like they have any problems.
So did you leave the 1 inch PVC whole, or did you cut it to the appropriate length similar to what the rack came with. It would be cool to find a way to slide the shelves up and down solid legs of PVC. I have completed a 10x16 building on a slab, now time to run electric and walls. Every penny counts and this fits right along what I will probably do. Thanks and great diy.
Yea I bought two they come 10 feet long. I cut them in half so I could have four that are 5 feet. Thats why I use those reptile basics, three tub sizes all the same height and length. Works perfect for a hatching, grow up rack and adult male rack. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching.
@@GPSnakes when u have time could u make a video on that ? I am not a handy guy myself and would like to have a simpler and safe way to make sure all my heat tape is safe and doesn't burn down my house.
I understand but I decided not to do a video on that because I'm not a electrician. So don't want anyone burning there house down because of me lol. I'm know other people have made videos on it.
Been looking all over for a good video. Great job super helpful!
Dope! Great job brother!

Thank you for watching. Love to see it when you do it. Definitely tag me in it.
Now you need to do a diy incubator!!!!
Yea going to work on that after Christmas I think.
@@GPSnakes maybe I can come over and help with that
Could you use corrugated plastic sheets instead of peg boards?
I believe you can. I used peg board to have more air flow.
Great video I will be working on building one where did you set the probe
Great DIY!!
Thank you and appreciate you Subscribing

Put Diy rack pipe size in the subject line
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience
Hope it helps, had a few people ask how I build it. Thanks for watching and the support.
Sorry I'm late to the video. I have been waiting for this video for so long. Thank you
Thanks, hope the step by step is clear. Was worried it would be confusing and hard to follow. Did my best to make it simple.
@@GPSnakes I feel it was vary sample
Ok good
Really good cost for a homemade rack. We love the idea of pegboard for ventilation and the interchangeable tub size! It makes the rack very versatile.
Thanks, yea figured the money i save on racks is the money I can put to quality snakes and snake food. Also helps with space.
@@GPSnakes That's a great way to look at it!

Great job man. I wish I would have made them instead of the wood ones.
Thanks. Yea I did a small one with melamine and it was just to heavy. Looking for something lite and easy to move.

How do you maintain the heat in the tub and humidity
More likely room temp
How is the stability of the rack?
I haven't had any problems with it been unstable. I have only done eight levels myself. I have see others do more and doesnt seem like they have any problems.
Wow this is awesome! Great build. Thank you for the step by step!
No problem PreciousPythons, hope it was easy to follow. Thanks for watching.
Love the rack. That pvc pipe was a smart move. Thanks for sharing
Thanks SplashPacReptiles yea PVC pipe made things a little easier.
What’s the pipe length u cut to
So it all matters what tubs you us. Checkout this video I did, I show how I measure for the tubs. Got to 12:18 minutes of this video.

Hey man what thermostat do you use? How do you maintain the heat for all the separate heat tape?
Thanks for making this video by the way.
So I use a herpstate, I plug all the heat tape into a outlet surge protector power strip then plug that into the thermostat. Hope this helps.
