Joseph: If you pump the water to a large black container on the roof you solve a few issues. Run time on pump is minimal. black container in sun gets you hot water. Use gravity feed from elevated tank for shower so no pump is required. If that is not an option just purchase an additional battery and/or panel to keep up with your battery drain demands

cjdoy - can you see how the land slopes up from where the unit is installed? This customer wanted to pump water up the hill to a garden location. So in many situations moving water with pumps makes perfect sense:-)

I notice that the tote has been painted. Did you paint it? What kind of paint did you use? My tote is translucent HDPE. That means algae growth.

Mr. Smith: The solar panel is NOT a direct to pump application. There is a battery that is being charged. The source of stored energy is coming from that battery.
