EDIT: I made a mistake in this video, at one point I mentioned Great Britain putting units in France before Germany invades. This won't be possible until France and Great Britain are aligned (meaning that they are at war with the same power), meaning the number of British units in France will be ZERO until both are at war with Germany, at which point GB can start moving units into France!
Good job on your videos, Bro. One small correction would be that the UK can't put any units into France until those 2 nations are aligned. I look forward to seeing more videos from you!
quick question. If you declare war on the soviet union first (before taking over France), do Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungry align to you (the German player)?
@@david2006 No they don't. If you look at table 4.5 on page 23, the first sentence in regards to your question states "After France has surrendered." You can imagine the shenanigans that would occur if Germany could simply declare war on Russia on the first turn to align those nations. They would have all of those units to use in conquering the rest of Europe.
One thing about lend lease to Spain, the units have to go to the nearest port based on the sea zones. This means that the lend lease from Germany will go to Leon Castile, but from Italy, it has to go to the southern one (Anharra? I forget) So something to keep in mind.
Looking on page 48 of the rule book regarding lend lease delivery, you are able to choose which port sends the lend lease, and which port receives it. Only after this is done do you choose the shortest possible path between the two chosen ports! Hope this clears things up
3:50 I used to like Strategic Rockets too, but now the FAQ has clarified they are one-shot weapons. Q: Can Strategic Rockets be reused? A: No, it is a one-time-only unit. Once you fire it, it’s gone. So Germany shouldn't research Strategic Rockets. Only the USA and USSR should, but only to achieve a VP, never to build. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
@@abgb36 Agreed. At the time you made the video, it was a reasonable idea. I hope they fix that because it makes no sense that the Germany don't even research Strategic Rockets now.
@@GW36_Enthusiast agreed they should make it a better unit. maybe you should be able to combine strategic rockets and atomic bombs (b-29 going nuclear) to make nuclear rockets
@@david2006 They have to either lower the cost of strategic rockets or remove the "one-shot" characteristic of them. You could even raise the price of strategic rockets as long as they could be used over and over because then eventually, they would be a cost-effective unit.
Yep the Tiger 1Es are a very fun unit! Though the target select is dependent on the Soviet's building armor of their own, which in my experience tends to happen later in the game. Hence German heavy armor being in the second tier of priority!
Why not take Denmark? The strait is still closed if you own it, it just means they need to try and invade. I suppose it's to avoid having to put troops there?
Hey I was just wondering what is the name of the video where a player just rushed into the soviet union and didn't invade france? Would really like to see that game.
I saw you say Britain can put units into France. Now I saw your comment on how they can’t until at war. But can they move units in there without a transports just by using the convoy lines?
The facilities are 3D printed pieces from combat miniatures! They have some really great pieces, though HBG has since released their own 3D printed facilities as well. I have a few custom neutrals for the Middle East, but otherwise clone comando max is correct! I just painted some axis and allies infantry white
If you invaded USSR by jan 1940 using surprise attack, taking moscow and most of their factories, wouldn't that be technically a better idea? You can suppress UK by convoying using 6 subs and setting up a defensive force in balvariawhile supporting the Italians in northern Italy, who can hopefully invade france?
That is certainly a viable strategy that I have seen work in the past! This video however is a little more tailored towards newer players that are still learning the rules, so I tried to keep it simple and similar to a G40 strategy

Yes! I’ve since realized this but forget to pin a comment to correct it. Thanks for the reminder GHG

The Tiger 1E does have target select (1-3) on vehicle class units, which will more effectively destroy soviet armor

Exactly! One less territory to defend, and the 1 IPP per turn you make usually isn’t worth the cost to garrison it

Unfortunately I don't think that game was filmed. I believe it was an in person game involving Fortress Jinx and some other guys

Where did you get those white infantry pieces?
They're just axis and allies pieces that I painted white
I like your shipyards, construction pieces. where did you get them? what about the white neutrals? all from HBG?
The neutrals to me looks like units from the major powers just painted white.

Did you help design this game? Or are you just a regular player?
I have no affiliation with HBG! Just a happy customer

Greece isn't worth many IPCs, but Thessaly is part of Lebensraum Victory Condition.
Yep! Its early game value isn't worth it, but in the middle or late game it's probably be worth coming back around for that victory point
