Bye, See you next video!” I suppose you wanted the title to be why ppl on ozempic develop that face, or something along those lines. But even then you’d probably still be like because they are on ozempic, derp. He should get real accurate and call it the internal workings that cause ozempic face when taking it. Just as insurance for ppl that think they are just sooo clever and witty.

Ozempic is purely an appetite suppressant. That said I don't think it's a very good bodybuilding supplement, as bodybuilders still like to consume high protein to maintain muscle. Killing your appetite might negate that.
Could it negate hunger whilst on a deficit… any time I’ve done any form of calorie deprivation, I get pretty hungry!!!

It is NOT just an appetite suppressant. It is a drug designed to lower blood sugar levels by producing more insulin and less sugar. Fat loss and appetite suppression were just happy side effects of this diabetes medication.

Roughly 12-13 years ago, I had "ozempic" face lol.
I was living a true bodybuilding lifestyle granted my training was somewhat screwy, my diet, sleep, and other critical details was on point, and I actually really liked it but some specific mistakes led to me sometimes feeling like crap for days in a row, and ultimately straying from the lifestyle which had negative long-term consequences.
*I would really like to get back to it and this time, correct the few mistakes I made, but my current living situation has made it very difficult.* Between duties resting on top of me and the morale of a one man show, I cannot commit.
Since Ozempic (semaglutide) did not come out until 2017, your "Ozempic" face must have been from diuretics maybe?
@@VernCrisler no, just an extreme lack of calories and a ridiculous amount of cardio lol. It's also why sometimes I would wake up and just walking over to the light switch would be brutally draining and could last for several days at times.
I was likely going in and out of ketosis without a coordinated schedule, so I was getting chronic bouts of what they call "the keto flu". There was also a point where I had wandered into veganism for a couple months.
A couple times, some girls I knew, and my nephews said I needed to gain weight, but I was overly focused on the last few pounds of fat on my belly which was brown fat and a long-term consequence of being overweight off and on during early adulthood.

I agree it's not the drug causing muscle loss, but rather losing a lot of weight. I was on Mounjaro for A1c purposes and lost a ton of weight, too, more than I wanted to. I was beginning to look bony and thin-muscled, as you say, like a cancer patient. So I had to go back down in dosage and "dirty bulk" my way back up to a healthy weight. "Ozempic face" is just what happens when you lose too much weight too fast, especially from fat sources in the cheeks. In addition, these drugs affect the brain, not just the stomach, so it's not just a matter of eating less food. The drugs also tell the body to produce more insulin and not to produce as much sugar. Great discussion!

Ok, I will spill the beans about Mounjaro. It’s a 2 part, the second GIP. Well if you train right, and do it the correct way, you will gain additional muscle with Mounjaro. The GIP stimulates insulin when your blood sugars go up. So if you have a zero carb breakfast like Coffee with MCT oil and maybe 20 grams of protein in it. Drink this before your workout. Make sure you don’t carb load the night before also. So if you start to weight lift with a low blood sugar 85-105 when you start. Your body will increase the glycogen which is its version of blood sugar, the GIP of Mounjaro will trigger an insulin increase to counter this, because heavy lifting can spike your sugar levels into the 140-160 during strenuous lifting. Well guess what that does, it triggers growth like insulin which will now help you build muscle as you recover and take in protein during the day. If you eat a protein meal in the evening, it will slowly feed the muscle synthesis as you sleep because the GLP-1 part is slowing your digestion which allows a steady muscle feed.
