  • Reality star Honey Boo Boo, known for her controversial past, has embarked on a weight-loss journey and is competing with her mother, Mama June, to achieve the best body.
    She has revealed some secrets behind her slimmed-down physique, but doubts arise about the authenticity of her methods. After facing sabotaged diets from her own mother and allegations of racism, Honey Boo Boo turned to the gym to shed pounds.
    Sharing her fitness journey on TikTok, she includes exercises such as squats, chest reps, and stationary bike sessions. While some fans offer support and advice, others question her weight loss, especially after she expressed interest in weight-loss surgery.
    Critics argue that surgery won't solve her lack of motivation. Despite accusations that Mama June sabotaged her diet, Honey Boo Boo focuses on leg exercises at the gym. However, controversies continue as she faced backlash for using a 'blaccent' in a viral video.
    Fans remain interested in her fitness progress, but the question of whether she has undergone or plans to undergo weight-loss surgery instead of relying solely on gym workouts remains unanswered.

      Okay but if you’ve been struggling your whole life to lose weight then how can you have a successful weight lose surgery you need to lose weight before the surgery to prove you are going to keep losing weight after the surgery all that surgery does is cut your stomach in half and if you can’t tell lots of people who don’t have motivation gain the weight back so it’s not a smart decision

There's no way they'd be able to live the way they do on their own without the show and the meet & greets, etc. I truly hope that Josh & Pumpkin are smart enough to have set something up for their future. If not, I am seriously concerned for their future. You cannot have 4 children and not work. That's just not how life works. Especially for a couple as young as they are. I pray it all works out for them in the end, but imagine their lives 10 years down the road when Alana is in her late 20s and they no longer have a TV show to pay the bills. Yes, she is 100% right to be pushing Alana with the college apps; but her and Josh need to be setting up their future as well. I mean damn, isn't she only 22 or 23 yrs old?! Sometimes a person can do everything right and their body is just naturally big. Look at her family. It’s probably a genetic issue in which case you would need surgery. No. Can we stop using this excuse already? Yes, some people are genetically predisposed to be larger or hold onto weight, but not that much. If a short woman weighs over 225lbs (I'd argue 200lbs, but whatever), that's due to poor diet and zero exercise. Genetics and diseases/illnesses can add on weight and make it difficult to lose, but it's not an excuse -- if you're susceptible to weight gain, do something about it.
      By saying "It's genetics," you're only saying that a person isn't driven to do anything and has zero personal accountability. Obese people know what they can do to improve their situation, but they don't want to make the changes to help themselves, and by saying they can't help it, you're only keeping them stuck.

    As someone considering the same, it’s not an obsession. It’s a desire to feel alive again. I lack the mobility I did, the energy, and the confidence that I had when I was healthy. It’s not ok to shame someone for being fat or skinny, and it’s also not ok to shame somebody for how they go about trying to change for the better if that’s what they want. Honestly, it’s nobody’s place to comment at all. It’s not your body, you don’t get a say.

    If you’re fat, love food, and you aren’t disciplined, it takes obsession to lose the weight. If you’re food obsessed, it’s a constant fight to turn your mind from eating all day. If she got surgery for it, that works too. Being fat totally sucks, everything about it sucks. Focusing on the downsides to losing weight doesn’t compare to the downsides of being fat. You go girl!

      I’ve had the weight-loss surgery and you don’t need to be a certain weight. You need to be a certain weight above what you should be at to get it. So you can’t get it if you’re close to your goal weight. You have to be obese to get it.
      I speak from experience. I have had the surgery. I didn’t have to lose any weight to get the surgery. There’s only a pre-surgery diet. You have to be on for two weeks but I didn’t lose any weight during that time. They just wanted my stomach empty so that when they did the surgery there wouldn’t be any complications.

      @@jenelle11234i think what OP meant was you have to _lose_ a certain amount of weight before you get the surgery. My mom had it and she had to lose like 20 pounds on her own before they would do the surgery, to show them she was serious about losing the weight.

      @@jenelle11234that's because it depends on the clinic you go to and how much weight you have to lose. For example, I'm just on the edge of qualifying for surgery. If I lost even 10 lbs I would no longer qualify, so they wouldn't make me lose weight beforehand. On the other hand, someone who has a weight goal of over 100+ lbs has a long way to go and it's important they can stick to the bariatric diet long term. Personally, the clinic I go to has everyone do a diet first and only does weight loss surgery for people who still have a large amount of weight to lose after.
      So yes, most clinics do require patients to lose weight and prove they can follow the diet before surgery because as you already know from experience, it's dangerous if you don't stick to the diet after surgery. Being an exception to that is not the norm.

    • @Simply_Helen
      @Simply_Helen 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@RetsukoMarieIt's not dangerous after. You don't really have a choice about eating after surgery. Your stomach is the size of an egg after. Unless it's gastric sleeve. Then it's only slightly larger.
      It's later on, like 6 months to a year and later where you can start ro train your stomach to accommodate more food. So, you really have to learn better habits while your the most restricted so you'll stey on track later and not regain.

      It’s sad, just because someone might go that route doesn’t make them lazy or unmotivated. My best friend struggled with her weight later found out she had pcos and wouldn’t have kids she had three beautiful children. No matter what she did it was hard to get the weight off and stay off because of her pcos. Years later she managed to find a way that worked for her to get a good bit of weight off and keep it off. She then had weight loss surgery and has never been healthier, she maintains her weight the healthy way and I couldn’t be prouder of her.

      Right! If it makes her happy and feel good. What does it matter what route she took. Seems like the surgery was boost that helped her. She is still going to the gym and making healthier eating choices. The surgery probably helped get her started. If she happy then that’s all that matter. She probably feels healthier all together. It’s not always easy for everyone to just lose the weight specially if they have other medical issues that make it hard to lose the weight.

      And even if you do, you have a lack of motivation that’s what the surgery is for. It helps you gain your motivation back. I’ve had the surgery so I speak from experience and I was one of the most unmotivated people I know. And I’ve had the surgery six months ago and I’ve lost 100 pounds and I’ve done the bare minimum but I’ve still lost so much weight. Motivation is definitely a good thing but it’s not the biggest issue.😂

    • @jenelle11234
      @jenelle11234 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@mango_the_poptart if you do you get the surgery. Just be prepared for the physical toll. It will take on your mental health. Because surgery is much more daunting than it seems. I have had two surgeries, one for weight loss, and one for a life-threatening thing, one after the other, and that was pretty traumatic for me, since I’ve never gone to the hospital since then, for any reason. Also, after weight loss surgery it’s very difficult to feel normal. Like I can’t have a normal meal anymore. And I’m not looking to eat like a giant portion of food but I can only stomach 3 to 4 bites of food even after six months. And it is really depressing, because I’m a foodie and not being able to eat a full meal makes me depressed often. But after six months, seeing the physical appearance changes and having more energy does offset the mental issues. I just wanted to share my opinion because I know a lot of people are very hush-hush about weight loss surgeries, and nobody ever talks about it trying to keep it a secret. At least that’s what it was like for me when I tried to inquire through friends and family about the surgery because I was looking to get it, but nobody wanted to talk about it. Also say goodbye to some of your favorite foods. I am sad most of the time because a lot of my favorite foods don’t taste good anymore. Like sometimes even thinking about some things make me nauseous and it really sucks. Some of it’s not even like bad food, like not fried chicken or something like that it’s like a wrap makes me nauseous and it used to be my favorite all-time food.
