- FBI investigators have released new details about Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, resident who shot at former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally Saturday. A local official apparently encountered the shooter moments before he fired eight rounds into the ground, CBS News Pittsburgh reports. CBS News' Nicole Sganga reports.

Many heroes here. But not the one person "WHO LET GO" and left the area. This is a sad event for America. Again, many brave people. Thank God. Credit due, where credit is deserved. In this report, the officer "fell from the roof" after confronting the shooter. In another report on another channel, the officer "retreated" after the shooter pointed his weapon at him.
Makes you wonder if news channels bother to wait for the real information before spreading rumours, doesn't it?

Thomas Crooks was a 20-year-old white male from a nice neighborhood in suburban Pittsburgh.
There are interviews with former fellow students who say he was a loaner and constantly bullied. He looks like he was from the pictures I've seen.

@@danboyd2725 I went to HS with a kid who was basically this exact kid. Sat alone at lunch. Short and Odd looking. Had a weird gait that landed him a nickname Dude Guy. Ended up getting expelled because he was seen writing in a notebook that had a "hit list". It was a list of names of his biggest bullies. When they searched his bag, they found weapons. This was before Internet but if the technology existed back then, I could see that kid literally finding conspiracies online, getting immersed and isolated and doing something similar. These types exist everywhere and online radicalization is very, very real.
