Thank you! I like it to sound how I write songs and ideas on a physical guitar. Often keeping it fairly simple most of the time, not too fancy, unless I’m just playing around and having fun. Let that inspiration flow! 🙌🏻
Thank you, William! By the way, I really like your channel and how you share the similarities between real and VST guitars. An excellent resource for getting the most out of these virtual guitars. Stay after it!
@@TobyRyan I have been playing with the Guitar M Lite, and loving it. Struggling a bit with the auto strum. Any tips? is there a chart? chord = trigger key. somewhere, anywhere? would be so much easyer to use for a none guitar player like me, if the was a chart.
i have the entire series of acoustics and for some reason this is the only one that sounds really midi-ish stock. After manipulating some EQ and other things, I got a little bit better out of it, but its weird why the strings dont sound as natural as some of the others.
That was my first impression about the strings as well. I didn’t like it as much as the Taylor or Martin until tweaking the effects and altering the various round robin options in the settings. I have found that I play it differently than the others, which is interesting. As of late, I think the SJ and the Martin are my favorite now. Which is yours?
Toby Ryan I totally agree. Martin and SJ’s finger/Thumb libraries are great for subtle arpeggios. I would probably favor Martin and Taylor for most strumming. Taylor’s pick library is a bit harsh so it really fits best in broad arrangements where I’ve wanted the steel string attack sound to really cut through. I can’t say I’ve found a more versatile acoustic alternative. Orange tree is close, but nowhere near as good for strumming.
Perhaps it’s because it’s a trial. I own the full versions so it’s shipped with all the features out of the box. Lately I’ve been creating my own presets because these can make even better sounds with a little tweaking from default. Try making your own! Go into the worlds you like manually 😃
@@TobyRyan i found the files, you dont click on presets at the top middle, you have go to the bottom left and click load a riff while on the riff tab and it will bring up the ones you had :) The only problem i have now is that translating from guitar tab to a riff or dragging midi out from guitar tab or riff seems to not transfer all of the midi notes, only 10 bars in logic pro. And the key switches don’t translate well either. But it still is a better option compared to spending years learning how to play guitar :)
@@adamkingofficial yeah, I’ve spent the years learning guitar and the piano, and after all that, I may be weird here , however I feel like the keyboard with VSTs is definitely the way I enjoy most.
That’s a good question! I can verify it goes down to D using the UI tuning pegs. However, technically, there are deeper advanced tuning options found in the Sample Editor tab that allow the E1 samples to go down to Db. Then it’s just a matter of figuring out the open chord voicings you want and play them using the keyboard.
can you please tell me how to make palm mutes by playing on my midi keyboard please? and know how to play on my keyboard the guitars that "sound or be heard" with powerchord please, I would appreciate if someone is so kind or generous in explaining please the steps, thank you ..
Both are up to date with similar features. The difference being the extra mic selections on the AGSJ. Both sound great, but the tone is more subjective as to what sounds pleasing to your ear. For example, the AGM was my favorite until the AGSJ - I prefer the deeper tone body sound. You might try the trial version of AGM III. That‘ll give you an idea of what it sounds and feels like to use. These are customizable, so definitely experiment with the main presets, but also the FX presets to enhance the tone. Here’s the link to where they have the trials. www.amplesound.net/en/download.asp
$170 is too much for his. The sound is nice as a melody. But it sounds robotic, cheesy and fake with the strumming and chords. For that money you can have a used guitar or a not so good guitar and it will sound better; or you could buy a keyboard and it doesn't change too much. The review is great, just talking about the instrument. Well, I disagree with the "Worth it" part.
The way you play when showcasing this VST is exactly what I want to achieve when writing songs using my MIDI piano. Def. buying this :D

Can you just play strumming in without going to strum tab
Where did you get all of the presets from, I downloaded the trial for M and it doesn't come with that many :(

This is my first video on your channel. On your videos with Ample Sound have you taught song writing also ?
Can it be tuned down to say open C tuning? I'm guessing not

Which one better? AGSuper Jumbo or AGM ?
