I speculated that he did kill somebody but then was released, his book mentioned that he killed somebody because the sun was in his eyes, making him feel just uncomfortable enough to pull the trigger on the person. Im curious to see how PM will implement this in the story as they pulled off canto VI with such amazing grace and quite an excellent twist in the storytelling. Somebody dropped a comment in this regard on my best friend's Don Quixote fic on Ao3 back in JANUARY. *JANUARY*, of this year, they were running with this idea so much that they got offended at the premise of the story. We laughed about it at the time, I said 'Sure there's definitely some weird signs that kinda suggest it thematically, but they're contradicted by other things we know about Bloodfiends'... and then Rocinante the Sealing Shoes came out of nowhere and slapped me upside the head for my arrogance. :V
