As a PM Lore Enjoyer, Carmen-Post Bloodbath is simply the embodiment of "A Human's Will over Human Lives"
It is to put all facets lying beneath humanity's surface over humanity itself.
"Yeah, maybe a thousand humans die, but their souls were rotting, and they should have accepted all of themselves, spilling out everything they keep inside, maybe then, they could have lived."
"If even one human can live, truly and wholly, in their own desire and emotion, then it is worth the sacrifice."
That's the type of Being Carmen has become.
She's so interesting, I want to study her.

Long have i assumed that Carmen, while charismatic and caring, thought to bring 'salvation' through letting the emotions manifest. She seemed like a figure that felt she could fix others in the way she deemed the best.
Since Cogito was originally developed under her guide, we could lean into claim that she cared about unleashing the elements of the human mind that one keeps smothered inside. Perhaps those emotions from deep dark subconscious were not planned - but she never refused them.
In LoR, she admires the abnos and craddles them, like unheard, mistreated children. She loves them all, no matter how monstrous they are. Note, abnos represent those elements of the human mind, which, if oversaturated and slipping out of control, make one dysfunctional.
Until now, it was safe to assume that Carmen didn't care if a person breaks under their weight, convincing people that those feelings are true and thus need to be brought out. As if she thought that she knew best how to bring them freedom from City's yokes. Self-proclaimed messiah, who asks people to let go with the flow.
I think of the entire Lobotomy Corporation facitily as a ground to fight it. Distortion is not just letting out those feelings to manifest, but let them overwhelm and overwrite a person's reason. Giving voice and control to what should have been kept in check.
If abnos are intrusive thoughts, EGO means taking control of them, acknowledging them but instead of letting them do as they please, use them to grow stronger. Acknowledging weakness, but instead of letting it reshape you, struggle against it. That is, what i felt, Ayins plan for himself and everyone alike.
It feels like Carmen does have more of a gentle nature - merely letting person's emotions flow free, regardless what the emotion is, being one who spurs the transformation. She cares not what spills out of screaming heart, as long as it spills, as to her, sole fact of unleashing it is giving one freedom. It's as if she really believed that this is better for a person than having to fight and struggle, and bear the burden of keeping those dark feelings from breaching. Like a... overworried mother not wanting to see you suffer facing your pain, so convincing you stop fighting.
She's unlikely an evil scheming bint - instead, fool who thinks she knows better how to soothe suffering. Her messiah complex probably was exactly what distilled into White Night, which, in poetic way makes One Sin the facility's most integral piece: weakly, overlooked and inconspicuous desire to admit one's mistakes.

    • @draconicworkshop5679
      @draconicworkshop5679 Месяц назад +56

This is really interesting, especially the bit with One Sin, and how it relates to White Night.
For quite a while I heard the theory about White Night being some sort of allegory for Carmen, but if we instead look at the abnormalities as unhealthy aspects of humanity, then White Night should instead be that savior complex that Carmen has, rather than the women herself.
White Night is an omnipresent, near if not fully divine entity that twists the people it "saves" into monstrous forms that, while more powerful than they once were, they lose all control over themselves. (or you lost control of them depending on literal you want to go, it is PM after all) White Night would go rampant if not for one weakness, one chink in the armor of the seemingly all-powerful force.
All it takes is one person, a single individual under its sway to acknowledge their weakness, to be willing to, rather than give in to the voice that offers them comfort even if they are weak, to face that weakness, that flaw of their character, and even if they don't overcome it, even it if causes them to perish, merely confessing, not to any all-powerful creature, but to themself more than anyone else, is enough to overcome White Night.
Now just switch the words around and you get Carmen.
An omnipresent entity that shows up at peoples lowest to offer them comfort, maybe not an easy way out physically to whatever situation they are in, but emotionally, to just let go and allow them to bring forth the true "shape of their heart" so that they may, well really do whatever at that point, usually what the distortee thinks is right when blinded by the emotions that distorted them.
However, if someone is able to look at themselves, and acknowledge that even if things suck, even if everything is going wrong, they are still able to try, to do something, even if its not very much, even if it might destroy them, then they can defy an omni-present being.
There are a lot of interesting ways this could apply to Lob Corp, after all you are literally in a manifestation of Ayin's mind, the facility you manage is literally drawn from his conscience, perhaps you could view White Night as a whole as the first instance of a Distortion Debate TM.
It would be so much easier, so much safer to just give up on Carmen's dream, to give into the despair that X does a few times when they realize what's going on, to simply give up when White Night breaks free, it offers salvation after all, it's one of the few abnormalities that speaks directly to you, it even has the power to prevent you from altering time.
What if White Night doesn't really stop you from doing anything, it wouldn't need to, after all nothing you do will save you, it simply reminds you that this is a hopeless situation (it literally plays 3rd Trumpet the first time it breaches), and if you just give in and let it take over it will guide you.
Yet a part of X (or Ayin depending on how you want to look at it) still sees a way out, even if it would cost them just a little more, a little more than they have already given in pursuit of this goal, if they are willing to pay the price, a price that costs yet another life, when they are already at the brink of despair for what they have done, they can make it out, to manifest the goal they have worked so hard to achieve, to bring forth the light that will allow people to do the same.
But that's just a rough theory I came up with while writing the rest, it probably has a bunch of holes, but I felt it was interesting enough to share.

@@draconicworkshop5679 "What if White Night doesn't really stop you from doing anything, it wouldn't need to, after all nothing you do will save you, it simply reminds you that this is a hopeless situation"
On the contrary White Night is offering you salvation, it rids you of your sins and provides guidance.
      White Night is saving you.
But the central thesis of LC, LoR and Limbus paints this act in a very bleak light.
Afterall everyone in the city is full of sins and to an extent those sins are what define them.
To accept White Night is to lose everything that chains you including the human parts of you that care about those chains binding you to others.
White Night grants Salvation by changing you so that you can accept the situation at hand.

It's hard to undergo so much hardship without losing ones way, it's not so surprising that she'd develop poor coping mechanisms to deal with it all, becoming... Whatever she is now certainly wouldn't help.
Basically a perfect recipe for a misanthropic savior, she still thinks she's doing good, but only because she's lost sight of what "things are okay" actually looks like. She's been alienated from her own humanity, perhaps ironically.

I started suspect something wrong when, during early access of LoR, appeared the part with Philip's underdeveloped E.G.O. and Angela said it was actually the plan of Seed of Light. I remembered the final part of "Crime and Punishment" from my russian school curriculum - Raskolnikov's literal fever dream when his ideology of "trembling creature and rightful person" has been extrapolated in its absolute on humanity. There, people died out in some sort of battle royale amongst "great personae" that everyone is, without those who earn the bread, without workers and servants. Thus, Karmen was, in my eyes then, either naive into delusion (like Raskolnikov was), or somewhat senator Armstrong-level libertarian, where in her world "people would kill and die for what they believe". Now, she seems to me more like elder Lukas from Gorky's play "The Lower Depths/At the bottom".

Either outcome still fits her view (Distortion: they live with their true feelings laid bare; EGO: they find a path forward that also define who they really are). Here's some quotes from Carmen in Leviathan, copied from a reddit comment about Ayin's relevance to E.G.O. ( Just in case people were curious )
[ Book 18 of Leviathan (I’m using the fan-translation by Snakeskinfs) features some talk from Carmen about Distortion and EGO, about how the result can be different thanks to her “junior”, presumably Ayin, joining her in the light:
"It is to become a self unbound by the eyes and standards of the City. However, the resulting form changes depending on the way it was revealed. ...Thanks to my junior, who has a different idea than me, joining the Light."
Later, she says this in reference to her junior, which is relevant given how EGO manifests in the form of clothes and tools:
"...You ask the same question as my junior. We must struggle, but as human beings, we should use reason, not emotion..."
      The voice adjusted itself.
"So, he said, we have to fight in the most human way possible, through clothing and tools, while holding the human form in high regard." ]

Especially because Adam’s goal of explicitly turning everyone in monsters to follow Carmen does actually remind me of one thing. Before Angela is about to return the light, we do see that Carmen is able and willing to take the form of the person she’s trying to influence. Its lead to be speculate if Adam is actually Carmen doing what she did with Angela or if there is something else within the light using Carmen as a template on how to influence others. Basically whether she’s the Equivalent of White Night or someone who was twisted into an Apostle. 13:40, I'd say it's clear enough that while an important cause of suicide was getting heartbroken after killing Enoch, there was another part to it, which is to sacrifice herself, because it was necessary.
Like day 48 shows, she knew she HAD to become the Bucket, she laid it out so calmly that Ayin of all people was pissed. Though she's saintified in Lobcorp, Ayin calls her suicide a "noble sacrifice for the sake of humanity" multiple times, something tells me he knew that well enough. And she did have a talk with Ayin before that to completely make sure he follows the path she laid out, saying: "no matter what I'll become, please finish what I started". The contrast between her downright frightening abilities to manipulate about everyone (staring down grade 2 Kali, convincing Daniel to ditch his guaranteed great job at A corp, etc.) and having a geniunely good heart is an aspect of her pre-ruina character I don't see people talk about enough, imo.
My sincere understanding is that part of the reason for her slitting wrists was actually coldly manipulating the research team into finishing her dream. Really makes me wonder what her backstory is about

  • @chainchomp3500
    @chainchomp3500 Месяц назад +24

One thing. My impression was that, the "compatibility" bit was exactly for the sake of getting a hold of more cogito, cause their sample size was too small to make any meaningful testing. Day 48 cutscene also showcases this because Carmen barged into Ayin's room, and detailed an entire plan that scared Ayin in what it was about, and felt hurt by how she made it seem like it had nothing to do with him in her plans, a clear sign to me that the bucket was devised by Carmen herself, and the way he talks about it "being the only way", I guess she had put herself up for being a sacrifice even before the bloodbath incident. Cause remember, this is the city, they could have easily brought her back from the brink, hell Ayin managed to make Hod "survive" despite having hung herself in her own apartment, and who knows how much brain damage she suffered from the act until someone found her body, the issue was that Ayin knew from her own mouth what she intended to do, so the suicide was a way to force Ayin's hand into making use of her body to make the vehicle to get more cogito so their progress could finally move.

Okay, so, this is probably going to sound a little deranged, but this idea has been living in my head rent free for the last few weeks and I really need it to go, so here we are.
Carmen is Nietzsce's Ubermensch that didn't make it. Hear me out.
I have to say fiirst that I haven't finished the book yet, but from my limited understanding (however flawed it may be) it fits very well together.
To start, Nietzsche's ubermensch has a characteristic which is very remenicent of Carmen: Love. Like a sun giving selflessly its light to the world, so did ubermensch wanted to share the light of knowledge with the rest of the world.
Carmen loved people, everyone from the lowest of the low to the wisest of men. She wanted to share this light she had, this joy and realize humanity's potential in a way that would allow them to become superhumans too. So she set out to do just that, gathering the crew, researching how to make it possible. To spread the literal and metaphorical Light. Light was supposed to be that nudge, that push for people to become ubermensch too, however that never happend. Because Carmen didn't have the Will to do it. In Nietzsche's book the will of a person is a pivotal part and Carmen lacked that. Ayin didn't. He made everything possible and acheived the end result, no matter the cost. But that's not so important. What is important is what Carmen came to represent.
After her time as a bucket she came to the other idea presented in Nietzsche's work: the last men. Last men are people who live for nothing but happiness. Blissful, uneventful existence. They are tired of life, take no risks, and seek only comfort and security (which is very City like, you gotta admit).
So when people stand at the crossroads: to present their wills and push through and aquire an EGO or fall back into security of basic desires and distort, many people Distort.
And... that's basically all I wanted to say. Honestly, regardess if this gets debunked or not, I'm just glad I got this thought evicted from my mind.
Now it's your problem too. Goodbye.

    2:19
Huh, pretty sure the Well of Humanity is just another name for the collective unconscious. The in-universe manual of Lobotomy Corporation and its artbook directly name-droped it, and the Abnormalities - extracted from the Well - are also said to be products of the archetypes within that collective unconscious. All in all, it's a fundamental jungian approach to things.
Thus, Carmen's attempt at trying to cure the "sickness of the mind" is just basically forcing the people of the City to confront their unconscious complexes and traumas, trying to connect them with their "soul" and solve the collective neurosis thet City (still) is undergoing. The fact that during DD, Moses comments that everyone in the City has signs of Distortion is related to this, since light is what allows the (unconscious) mind to be manifested: the people in the City are, by default, controlled by their unconsciour urges and wishes, close to regress to "animalistic or monstrous figures" - the alien symbols that "inhabit" the unconscious world according to Jung's work.
    12:17
And Distortions are the result of Carmen abandoning her wish to make people connect with their unconscious self and individuate them (another jungian concept), now focused on solving the neurosis... by destroying the differentiating capacities of consciousness - the core principle of individuation -, regressing everything into a "final" (not really, but I like how dramatic it sounds) union with primitive unconsciousness. Now, you don't have to suffer being separated of yourself, because you're now your (unconscious) self, guided entirely by complexes and traumas.
By that matter, that's the reason of why (some) Distortions are similar to a number of Abnormalities (and even Ordeals), because they' share the same archetypal roots. The collective unconscious, after all, is the foundation of the human mind.
Funnily enough, Demian's entire schtick is also jungian, since Hesse was inspired by Jung's work. His motivation seems to be for people to realize themselves, to reach their whole Self, both unconscious and conscious. That's the likely reason he sees the Mirror technology as stealing: you're essentially running out of your own personal truth and meaning - you're rejecting yourself and "stealing" the Self of others.

So I have this theory that filled my mind ever since the end of part two.
First, the Cathy mirror scene, this is either Cathy meeting Carmen or, what if Cathy has the ability to see mirror words? Then that ghosts she saw were just echos of other mirror words, that would explain why she said she understands thoose ghosts after that.
Second, Cathy works with N corp. Cathy herself seems to be an inventor and we my theory about her ability is correct then there is even more evidence for her to work with N corp. That would explain why she knows about Heathcliff and by him Limbus Company going for boughs.
Third, everything that happened in Wuthering Heights since we came there was Cathy's plan to make Heathcliff distort, why? Because by this she can come and "save" him so he won't leave her ever again or based on that single line from her at the end of part 2, she wants to try and kinda hijack the distortion of Heathcliff so that he will obey her using that machine, golden bough and probably by putting herself in comatose state to increase her connection with light.
Please tell me I don't sound like conspiracy theorist.

Interestingly, keeping with the Kabbalah themes, Carmen’s philosophy fits the philosophy of Belial, which is the Qliphoth counterpart to Daat.
The philosophy of Belial is curiosity turned into selfishness and greed (usually in the context of knowledge since Daat is the Sephirah of Knowledge and enlightenment (which is also likely the Sephirah Angela represents since she runs the Library)), which fits Carmen to a T.

Although white nights and dark days definitely caused carmen's view of humanity to distort(heh). I believe that she also saw it as something necessary as she gave the city itself the capability to fight which was her original desire.
Overall, her views were good but naturally you have to think about that she was the one who created the experiment of taking enkhepalin from people. To some extent, you also going to have a realization that she only faltered once she realizes that she had to be the one to be used as an experiment which she turned down causing the death of a certain kid that led down to her downfall/guilt.
In conclusion, Carmen was never the good-good typa person. She saw the greater good which attracted a bunch of hooligans(sephiroth) to follow her. In the end, she and "him" succeeded and right now soreading across the city with their seed lying in wait for everyone to manifest and may be heading towards "the new world" [stated by Damien and Sonya in canto 3 but could also be referred as a world war/potential rebellion in the city if we are following their novels description of the mark]

    • @theresnothinghere1745

"Carmen was never the good-good typa person"
I take issue with this portrayal.
      Reluctance to sacrifice yourself when:
      1) You are the lynch pin of the entire operation to the point your colleges oppose sacrificing you
      2) There might exist potential alternatives that don't cost one of the most important people to keep things running
Doesn't make Carmen a bad person.
The word that describes Carmen is 'Weak hearted' as she described herself in LC.
Carmen had good intentions, she knew these intetions would have difficult decisions and when she eventually came across one she collapsed.
"that she was the one who created the experiment of taking enkhepalin from people"
It's hard to know to what extent she was responsible for that, the process of abno creation wasn't clear at all until A got a firm grasp by testing cogito injection into Netz.
We don't even know if they had the idea to garner light from abnos during Carmen's time or if that only came about when A went mind of steel and focused on meeting the end goals above all else.

Something I dont see talked enough about with Carmen is the possibility that she doesn't necessarily want to distort people. It seems to me that she doesn't necessarily care if they manifest EGO or distort. Personally, the read that she "turned evil" seemed really weird especially with how PM likes to write villains. Same with the idea that she wanted to spread her suffering onto others, it just feels out of character for her considering how she is. Personally, it feels like she's just trying to get people to confront their true selves in some way. Her methods have definitely been, well, distorted since the Lobotomy Corp days considering the death toll that's been racked up. I suppose 10000 years of watching the people you love in a timeloop with countless employees being recycled to try to bring about your dream will do that to you.

    Erm, actually- 🤓
Carmen just wanted everybody to manifest ego-
But angela stole the light and made distorcions posible
Carmen just embraced it, because people would still be able to change their fate, by their own hands
EGO is the realisation of the person, their ideals, to fulfill their desires
While distortions are just the desesperation, the losing of hope, embracing your misery that you feel in your heart, the aching, enough to make onself "twist", to feel the same that you did, to "make them pay"
//:Joke, this video is actually really great, it explains most of the events, fast yet in a good short way
I'll add a bit of more things
    While carmen had the ideals
It was Ayin, who had the guts, and made it posible, if it wasnt for Ayin, Carmen would just be another another crazed brackstreets person
Ayin made the purgatory to collect the light, and forced Angela to do this, to follow the scrip, so it would have been done, and collect enough with the TT2 protocol
Ayin sacrifised everything so Carmen Ideals would be posible
Yet Ayin also hated himself from this, for forcing Angela to do this, to grab whathever remains of Carmen and make her be the bucket, he also thinks that it's justified that every sefirah to hate him, at one point he chose to wipe his memories like the sefira because of his mental state(idk much about this), It's even believed that Ayin knew angela would steal the light, and knew it would eventually be realeased
    ||I'm also interested in the golden bough, because if is related to quilopod meltdown, and overload, it being able to supress abormalities power(what means if abnos were to be left far from one, they would be at their strongest)
I still wonder if they're able, if they're the strand of posibility, and resonance with it
It must have to be related to EGO, distortions and the power of the self
I have a little crackpot, which I think is very wrong, but I think what if the boughs are carmen nerves?
Okay now imma go back to sleep, great video man!
Edit: I also wonder if Cognito being the L corp domain, being lost means that other wings can use it(because every corporation that falls, their singularity becomes wings domain, aka they can use it)
I just wonder if they will be able to even use it in the first place or if they even know how it works..

Distortions not contacted by Carmen namely how little she does to Distort you.
Human being left alone can do either great or ville things.
In my opinion she doesn't make them distort she creates situations where through no outside force can influence you, Making the Distortion a choice based on the individual.
But shutting out outside influence can be dishonest. Because A distorton can be born of a lie and not a true reflection of ones true feelings as seen in DD.

1:44 - When was it said that she was from District 11? That's where Netzach was from, yes, but it's not something that was confirmed that it's also where Carmen was from.
3:10 - That's an optimistic view, especially as there are some psychos that are dangerous enough without that kind of power.
4:25 - Also, this was BEFORE she was called the Red Mist, as she was a Grade 2 at the time she was recruited.
9:30 - Benjamin was the middle-man with starting that, making a deal with Lady Dias and her Udjat. (That was in the Distortion Detective)
10:06 - That's illegal and that happened after the Head sent TWO Claws and an Arbiter to try and kill everyone there, in order to prevent that...which caused what they tried to prevent.
    10:40 - Carmen became non-corporeal after that.
11:25 - Actually that's during and after that.
12:10 - The Distortion predated the White Nights and Dark Days, as the Bloodfiends were made by Nosferatu, which was likely a natural Abnormality, it was mentioned that there are some natural ones and they needed to make most of them to meet the power demand. (Also in the Distortion Detective)
Basically she started with the best of intentions, but it slowly eroded her sanity, even death wasn't the end, THAT much time in that state would drive anyone insane, even if they were perfectly sane. She'd have much to talk about with that Batman villain Scarecrow.
15:05 - Distortion Detective is set during the Urban Legend chapter of Library of Ruina. As for Leviathan, despite her best efforts with him, she failed.
17:20 - No, Aseah is currently with N Corp. He was in Leviathan, doing the same kind of experiments and that involved the Ring, the mad artist Finger. (e.g. one of the five strongest organised crime syndicates)
So THAT faction is separate from N Corp, but might not have everyone's best interests either?
20:00 - More like doing what Jet Li's character did in The One.

You can literally debate with her if you have enough clarity of mind during your breaking point and it'd be more respectful than most "discussions" we have both IRL and on the internet.
Even if you don't like her, you gotta respect how she's fine with some people not distorting even if she thinks that is a better course of action. I wonder what the Head thinks of her and the Light overall, since the only act we saw them do about it was snuffing the Research she and her colleagues conducted.

I have my own theory's about what going on in the project moon verse those my knowledge of the full verse is limited so some of my theory's might have some hole's but that's just more fun. but spoiler's for PM for the safe side also for anyone who reads this sorry about any spelling and grammar mistakes. also if you read all of it thankyou.
    1) the golden boughs and the library: so from the end of library we know that the is angela ego which was made at the lobotomy with the remaining light form the "seed's of light". moreover the library is built on the old lobotomy corps. now a lot of the imagery involving the light and the library has them as trees and for reference a bough is a main branch of a tree. we also know that a lot of boughs are found in place related to the old lobotomy corps. so what I think is bucket transferred from carmen to angela and her ego. the library being built on the main lobotomy corps (is more then likely linked to over lobotomy place) so I posit that the golden bough's are mini bucket's and extension of the library.
2)the sinner's and the bus: know that I have established that I think the golden boughs are I will know posit what I think the first arc of limbus will be about. I think the the sinner's and bus are collecting bough's to make a wish version of LC and realise the light again we know that angela did this in library by collecting the bit's of light that where in people. but for the light to spread it seam's to also need a hight concentration of emotional realisation. the sephirot in LC, angela and roland(some of guest) in LOR and now the sinner's in limbus. who every canto have been forced to go through mini realisation due to the power of the bough's. now I think the library is a controlled version of the light as it seam's that it easy to manifest ego and not full distort as most of the people who distort in library do outside of the library. since the library seam's to dose kind of automatically like the bough's. however since the bough's seem more like a less controlled version of what was happening in the library. to this I think the answer is that the library has been disconnected from the system and with out the main control the smaller system's are running wild.
3)carmon and the sign: I just think it make sense that carmen would have the sign given what it seem's to be and what carmen did.
4)demaion: I think he is anti-carmon or more so that the sign seam's to be given to people who are meant to lead humanity to a better place. I also think this is what the league of nine was trying to in it inventing the mirror. more over the leader of the corps or at least the originator's of singularity's might also have these sign's. this might also be N-corps gaol as well as the head's goal in a weird way all different groups trying to improve humanity in there own way some working together and other's fighting one and other however all trying to reach for the stars.
5)why star's: in the PM universe it seam's like star are a simple for a lot things however it seems they all have somethings in common. like star's are thing's with great impact on the city and to strive to towards them (inorder to become or beat them) is promoted in the city as a goal. star's also seem to symbolise a great power. but other then that I think the reason dante see's star's is because of the sign and so the star that dante see's is an illusion of the sign in order to encourage people to move towards there gaol.
6)faust: I think faust is ever a porto angela or at least something along those lines. for one she knows a lot about old LC facility's as well as being the most guard with information. she also seam's in human in some way that kind of reminds me of LC angela just with less anger and less of a personality. she could also just be a robot made by ayin in order to run everything on the outside making her an interface to wider information bank with out a way to control the information and so her identify is lost among all of it which seam's like something ayin would do.
7)limbus: so depending on weaver the my 2) theory is correct or is unnational correct meaning also not the intent of the limbus I do think that at some point the bus crew will arrive at the library at the lowest moment ever at a half way point or at the end of the first arc. this is to say while I think there is likely hod angela has a hand in limbus some how (more then likely faust or vergileus) I don't think she is the mastermind. I also if my 2) theory is correct the likely hood of it being the head or a finger is unlikely but I also don't think it's unlike that they also might have a hand in pie as well(more then likely outis or vergilesu). I think it reflection of Carmon brought here by the purple tear and the ticking bomb is dante who while likely both die/ be seriously hurt and betray the group unintentional.

I think Faust is more or less related to Angelica(Roland's wife) and Argalia to whatever they came from(from what I read, they came from a supersoldier experiment, hence why Angelica is extremely strong).

Ok lets get a review on this video.
For one I personally find that the video itself has some misinformation about L corp, The project of light, and Carmen's intentions at the start
First of all it is stated that Carmen is not the cause of distortions rather its Angela who stole the light causing the people of the city to have the seed improperly planted in their souls.
Second Carmen's goal was never to take down the head rather it was to allow people to chose their own paths in their lives rather then conforming to the city's will.
Third Ayin is not pronounced Iyen it is pronounced Ayin
Fourth Ayin did not make Lobotomy Corp strictly to gain the resources to create the Light rather he needed to hide from the heads view.

@@the_fenix_3247 In Library of Ruina it states that Angela messing with the light was what caused it...
But Carmen is the one who directly distorts people without Angela it would not happen though

in Lord Ayin we believe, he who host the primordial human Adam himself will deliver salvation from the blighted cursed light that burn and distort humanity, through penance and tribunal shall he guide humanity through hell back to where we belong.
and only through his daughter shall we find peace.
