Well done on this tale of Ginger's life. Certainly some great pics of him and what a wonderful musical history this drum magician had. RIP matey, thanks for the music you left with us.
@@HarmonyHeartsLifestyle-ul5yv....... .....Nobody writes about his incredible lead vocal on " Pressed Rat and Warhog" a song worthy of note .! But seriously no one talks about his unique quality on the two mounted Tom toms of his Ludwig setup. He was the master of drum solos with all his accented triplets on the two mounted Tom's. Lots of drummers ( including me had just one mounted Tom. ) **** also his song " Toad " was a long drum solo. Two recorded versions.
A very nice tribute yet again to a genius of a drummer, even though he wasn’t the nicest guy in the world. Glad you did this video about Ginger, very interesting! 😊
Thank you Mrs Harrington, your kind words mean so much 🥰 Yes he was a genius drummer that influenced so many 😄 Enjoy the rest of your weekend and take care 🌞🌻
I spent Over 2 decades playing drums in mostly house gigs,I'm 66 but remember Being impressed with Cream in the 60S and Ginger's Drumming Style was interesting. They Made Their Mark!
I'm a drummer for 57 years straight still quite active.Ginger came to my life back in1967 with The Fresh Cream album. TOAD literally changed my life forever. A major influence. A real musical drummer .
Ginger was a legend.Saw him play in my home town with the Gurvitz boys. Boy could he play.Epic solo, went for at least 40 minutes.Phil Seaman took him under his wing. He probably popularised the poly rhythmic thing.Sorely missed. Thank you.
He and Charlie Watts were both originally Jazz drummers and both lent a unique sound to their band(s). Rip Ginger and Charlie. Up there jamming with Stu and Brian and Jack.
I really enjoyed this, it’s often the case that I know names, but not exactly who they are. I love hearing about the histories and lives, it makes the music so much richer to listen to. So well done!🤗
His dad passing away probably had a lot to do with his behaviour growing up and affected his adult life. Maybe he was a nice guy too but had a short fuse. Beware of Mr. Baker!😱

Thank you my friend, you are very much appreciated 😊

A very good read….HellRaiser The autobiography of Ginger Baker…
His dad passing away probably had a lot to do with his behaviour growing up and affected his adult life. Maybe he was a nice guy too but had a short fuse. Beware of Mr. Baker!😱
I agree 💯 His books would be an interesting read indeed. Thank you for being here, I appreciate you 😁👍
Met him on several occasions, the second time spending a lengthy discussion covering many subjects.U found him delightful with a clever sense of humor
He was a pretty mean guy.
He had a habit of punching people out.
Yes he did have a short fuse apparently. He was a genius on the drums, very gifted 🥰 Thank you for being here 😊
What a wonderful drummer ! But they always say drummers are usually the odd balls of any band 😜
