I'd say Hiroyuki Sawano's style really suit Gundam, especially UC timeline. The blend of classical style and use of digital sound to replicate the age-old Universal Century timeline but also the ever advancement of technology. Not to mention the deep emotion and expression that Sawano is able to have in his music definitely enhanced the complicated characters of gundam Universal Century characters. By comparison, I think Hiroyuki Sawano suits Gundam UC stories way more than John Williams to Star Wars. Just my opinion
