I think that this has to do with the system, he's probably 6'½ but most people tend to round that up to 6'1 while he rounds it down to 6'.

Cena is literally the shortest looking 6 footer in person. Saw him years ago at a live Raw event and I’m 5’9 maybe 5’10” and he looked maybe 5’11” to me. If he is 6 foot my guess is he’s a strong 5’11” maybe a weak 6 foot.

I measure myself by placing a ruler on top of my head facing a tape measure in my living room, is this accurate enough?, my eye level height is 169-170cm and my measured height varies from 182-180, sometimes 179 point something before bed, does this seem accurate and what height should i claim? Im 16 and on a mission to become 6ft 0.5-6’1 when i become an adult.

Rob Paul My eye level is at 5 foot . 9 to 5 foot 10 depends on what day and I’m like 6 foot 0.5 to 6 foot 1 depending on which days because my mom says I look taller or shorter like between like I told you with and without shoes on me mine I have don’t have any insoles at all it’s all me I’m standing exactly at the ground where my feet are at so and even my mom says I look taller then 6 foot 0.5or short to 6 foot depending on the days

He’s around my father’s height and claims similarly. My dad’s 185.7cm in the morning, 183.9cm at night and usually claims 6ft and at a push, 6’0.5”. I’m 183.9cm in the morning and 181.8cm at night and I also claim 6ft, but my father and I look almost an inch apart in height.
I personally think it’s fair for John Cena to claim almost 6’1” since he probably never measures under 183cm at night.
@Dan depends. Some people lose only 1cm, most around 1.5cm, some 2cm and some as much as 3cm. It also depends on your height- the taller you are, the more spinal decompression you’re likely to be subject to.
@Dan Yeah you do lol, everyone does. You are tallest from the moment you get of bed after sleeping. Peak morning height only lasts for like 10-20 minutes and you’ll shrink around 1cm from then. Then you will start shrinking gradually throughout the day.
I wake up at 6’0.75-85 and then drop down to 6’0.25 by lunchtime. Before bed I’m around 6’0.05 or sometimes even low as 5’11.90-95 if I lifted or spent a lot of time standing or exercising. I can regain some of height lost throughout the day from just a couple minutes of laying down on my back.
When you go to bed and wake up, you regain all you lost from the previous day. That’s basically a human’s daily cycle of temporary height loss.

Assuming u wake up at 173 which is 5’8.1, and before bed u drop to 171 which is 5’7 ¼, (which is the typical shrinkage for most people.) then 5’8 would be the highest I would claim in that instance.
6ft ½ sounds right, definitely not much over that, or under. Looks almost an inch shorter than 6’2 Rock, except the Rock isn’t standing completely straight.
John Cena Is 6 foot 1/2 and when he was younger at his peak 6 foot 3/4th and when he gets older as he ages and gets to an elder age range group category like in his 70’s 80’s he probably will shrink another half a inch or 3/4th of an inch because your posture gets bad and your bones weaken when you get older which makes you become a little bit shorter and shrink so when he gets to his oldest or eldest age before death my estimate height guess for when he gets to that age range will be 6 foot 0 flat or 5 foot 11 3/4 since he will shrink a little bit idk only time can tell what will happen if he shrinks or not.

Do shoelifts damage body?
They can sort of twist your spine a wee bit, and also make it hard to walk if that’s what you mean
If it’s high lifts it can hurt ur lower back and after a while put stress on ur spine. It’s like wearing high heels. If u decide to wear them, no more than 2 inch lifts. Especially in thicker shoes

Hey Rob since your an expert on height, I wanted to ask you, is it possible at all to shrink in height at 16-17 years old? My 5'10" friend claims that at a point when he was 16 he was 6 feet but in the span of a year he shrunk to 5'10 by 17. Is that really possible? Most people don't shrink until their 50s-60s and when they do its usually only about half an inch to 3 quarters of an inch but to lose 2 whole inches in one year from 16 to 17? I don't know about that.

I did ask him like a few months or so after he told me he was 6 feet and he told me his doctors measured him wrong and he was actually 5'11" and then a year later he tells me his doctors measured him at 5'10" I'm 5'8.5 and if I wear lifts with boots that give me exactly 1.5" heel advantage I'm exactly as tall as him so I know he is a legit 5'10" he most likely wasn't 6 feet, possibly 5'11 before shrinking but that's assuming he did at all. His height has stayed the same for the past 2 years.
y'know some doctors have measured me at 5 foot 7 and a half when i was young. I was really 5 foot 5 and 3/4ths in actuality. I think doctors like to lie about those kinds of statistics or the height stick is just under or over the ground sometimes. who knows. But i know it makes us feel better about ourselves.
Shrinking is impossible at that age naturally, if it’s like from surgery, bone issues or something health related then that could be the reason.

Measure all of them to see ur height throughout the day, but to determine ur claim height. I’d say measure at midday. Atleast 6 hrs after waking up

Well you’re still growing but for an adult that’s pretty small. 5’10 men usually have size 10 or 10.5 US feet.

Hey Rob, as you know i own a stadiometer myself. The past 3 days i always stood only 190.5cm after bed. The 5 days before i always was 191.1cm. Can you explain this seemingly permanent loss of 0.5 cm at my age of 22? I have some back problems but could there really be half a centimeter weardown of morning height?
Would love to know your opinion on that.

Check your diet. If you have a lack of methyl donors, you'll shrink. Methyl donors affect your methylation of DNA

Rob, I asked about my eye level yesterday and you told me I could be perceived as closer to 162 cm's with an eye level of 150.3-150.5 cm's. I just found that I can get to an eye level of 150.5 cm's ,if I stand tall and erect with the perfect posture. @minecraft creeper The difference between 5'11 and 6 foot is that 5'11 you are exactly average but at 6 foot you are solid average. In Finland average range is 5'9-6 1/2. But 5'9 is like 5'7 in USA and you people consider 5'8 short which is weird if it is only inch under average. But here 5'10 is inch under average and not many people call it short.

He made a vid on it incase u haven’t known yet. But it’s pretty simple, I’ve done it before, I use a flat surface or a door and I use the tick marks on both sides of the ruler. Using the door outline as an alignment, just draw until the top of the ruler mark and put the bottom on that mark and easy!
