I was a Sr in 93. We had to decorate the senior hall and it was our choice. We had a competition against the juniors for best decoration. We did this every year to exit the Seniors and usher the juniors into their sr year. We decorated our hall in a jungle theme. We had all types of trees, vines, sand, even had a small swimming pool of water w fake snakes the whole jungle scene. We had jungle sounds playing through one stereo at the beginning of the hallway and we turned off all the lights and had only strobe lights placed all the way down the hall. We blasted “welcome to the jungle” as our sr song. So as you entered you had to go through a thick layer of hanging vines and you could hear the jungle sounds and a bit of this song but as you got closer to the center and the end it’s all you could hear. We had the best time doing this. It took a whole week and we were to be judged on Friday night after our last home football game. Then to the dance. It was so good that some teachers didn’t want to walk through the hallway. The seniors won the challenge that year. It’s a great memory of high school and every time I hear this song it takes me back to my sr year.
It took David Geffen of Geffen records to personally go to MTV executives and personally ask them to play this video. It was GnR's first official release. MTV played the video. 1 time At 4a.m. On a Sunday. The rest is history!

The one and only song of theirs that I really enjoy listening to. This (it may be more instrumental) is used in the movies Lean On Me and the last Dirty Harry movie.
Sweet child is kind of like their ballad with a touch of this style. Patience is classic, different because it's acoustic guitars, but great vocal and lyrics. November Rain is basically a masterpiece, maybe like the closest Guns N Roses got to a Bohemian Rhapsody. It is a long song, but uses strings and even an orchestra in it. But you gotta do Don't Cry first then November Rain, it's part if a story.

I had a workplace where every day I walked in there I heard “welcome to the jungle” belting in my ears, got my game face on and got on with my ... HR job!
My favourite Guns n Roses 🎤🎸🥁
First time ever for first view 😁😁😁
1980s los angels the jungle gun & roses one of my favorite band keep the good music alive brother
I remember when this came out. Absolutely stopped me in my tracks. This whole album is amazing
Never was able to see G& Rose's live, I've seen ACDC live at Warner's Theater in Fresno CA with Bon Scott, that was a concert to remember, my ears rang for a whole week afterwards lol.. yes, this was a band that I'd love to have seen there completely out there for sure!!!! Love em...🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶💞💞💞
Fun energetic song Axl did his thing love it 😂
I was a Sr in 93.
Haha “Have you done it yet?” 😂 You had me trained early on this summer. I’ve learned to click on the thumbs up before watching!
It took David Geffen of Geffen records to personally go to MTV executives and personally ask them to play this video.
It was GnR's first official release.
MTV played the video.
1 time
At 4a.m.
On a Sunday.
The rest is history!
Hi Jay thanks for this one I’ve never heard it before but I’m impressed 🇬🇧
He wrote this song about coming on a bus from Indiana to LA and what he experienced.
This s my jam. I’m over ROCKIN OUT
Bad ass song 🔥 Very popular at football stadiums around the country. Makes it sound like the team is gonna kick your butt!!
Loras favorite band. I'm so glad you get to experience them now.
Saw em with theCult in 1987. All these years and numerous concerts later, it’s still in my top 5.
Wow, bet that was a great show!
“No I’m not! I’m in my house!” 😂
I laughed out loud at that comment. 🤣
Me too!! Like he wanted to double check 😋
He's singing about the city..the jungle...he got off the bus from the midwest and right into the streets of Hollywood! Concrete Jungle lots of drugs..crime..that he or they experienced baybee!!
AWESOME song!! This is the first song I ever heard off their debut album!
They're great man!
Thanks for the video!
Take Care,J!✌❤🎶😁
The one and only song of theirs that I really enjoy listening to. This (it may be more instrumental) is used in the movies Lean On Me and the last Dirty Harry movie.
November Rain? ☔ it's a keeper 🐯
@@georgehasleftthebuilding6621 I don't think I have heard that one.
I AM NOT A FOOL I JUST DO NOT LIKE GUNS N ROSES LIKE I PREFER OTHER GROUPS.
@@matthewdrake4385 I don't think I heard of that one.
Mr. Brownstone is my favorite song off of Appetite album.
Steven Adler was a phenomenal drummer. Steven had an incredible feel and looseness to his playing. This album was their best.
Welcome to the Roses baby!
You did it! Righteous reaction! Right on, man! : D You've gotta do more GNR... Rocket Queen, Patience, Paradise City, cover of The Rolling Stones' Dead Flowers n Sympathy For The Devil, Estranged, Mr. Brownstone, Don't Damn Me, Used To Love Her, Night Train, Civil War, cover of Bob Dylan's Knockin On Heaven's Door, McCartney's Live n Let Die, Yesterdays... those are just a fraction of the tracks you should hit n never quit. Keep up the great content, brother, n keep rockin🤘🎸✌😊😝
I grew up on the gunners and saw them in concert back in day. Took for granted how good they were watching you react made me realise what I had witnessed😁
Everyone is putting in the work here!
Yes I bet this band is great live
@@JayveeTV THEY SURE ARE! I saw them as a TRIPLE BILL many years ago. It was Guns and Roses, Faith No More AND Metallica! YEAH! One of the best concerts of my whole lifetime! 😉❤😎🤘
@@JayveeTV The truth is, when these guys were off, they were a dumpster fire, but when they were on, they'd melt your face off for 3 hours. They rarely had anything in between. Part of the excitement was not knowing which you'd get.
This is a classic song from Guns N'Roses
My favorite song of all time!
I love the sexy snake moves he does LOL
lmao that's one way to describe it
Love your reaction. :) I heard that when Axl got off the bus in New York? Some guy on the street said welcome to the jungle, you’re gonna die...Made an awesome song of it.
Jay, this is my favorite song by these guys. Time to get butt. Wild.🔥🔥🔥.have a great day sweetie💞💞💞
The whole "Appetite For Destruction" album is amazing! It's one of the biggest albums of the 80's.
I think "Paradise City", "Patience" or "You Could Be Mine" should be next?
I think all people have the same reaction the first time they listen Guns and Roses : your head explodes. Great reacxtion, Jayvee!!!
Dude you need to react to Ronnie James Dio.. From the band Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio. You reacted to Holy Diver but that's it. Anyway Cheers Mate!
Don’t talk to strangers is the song he should react to
@@FalcaoXTZ Also Stargazer, Gates of Babylon, Heaven and Hell and his Black Sabbath songs.
Yes, Dio! And Dokken too
Rainbow in the dark. Also agree with stargazer.
2:30 The line is "if you've got the money, honey, we've got your disease" so yeah, it matters if you've got money.
Nice reaction mi hermano!
Thank you
This song/track was the intro to GnR for pretty much everyone. It was their first big hit and it swept through the halls of every school like wildfire. It was one of the hardest songs, in the day, and we played it non-stop. This song WAS GnR and Axel Rose for that matter. Everything else came later. The album - i remember playing with my friend, over & over. We had the lyrics of every song memorized within days, some withing hours. Oh, you should checkout Mr. Brownstone ... ;)
With everything that's gone on in 2020, react to Guns N' Roses - Civil War
I say 'Patience' over all applies ✌😋🍀
GNR's first album is pretty awesome. Several hits, just perfect composition. 👍🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
"Welcome to the Jungle" was their debut song off the album, and it was showcased in the Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood) movie that came out at the time.
"The Jungle" is actually LA.
big effin jungle

Back in the day I got to see GnR 3 times and man, they are effin' amazing live. The Use Your Illusion tour was absolutely mind blowing.
