  • One of my favourites from the Sylosis set! Video is taken from our recent set at Belgium's Graspop Festival (21/6/2015).
    The audio is taken direct from my in ear desk. What you are hearing is exactly what I get sent to my ears. I added a slight bit of compression in Logic afterwards, but no sampling.
    My gear:
    Yamaha Rock Tour in Matte Black - 22"x18", 10"x7", 12"x8", 14"x13", 16"x15"
    Black Panther Walnut Snare - 13"x6"
    All Sabian Cymbals (Left to Right):

    10" AA Splash
    18" HHXplosion Crash
    22" HH Power Bell Ride
    21" AA Bash Ride
    21" Vault Holy China
    Heads:
    Evans EC2's on tom batter, G1 on resonant
    Hybrid Snare batter, Evans 500 snare resonant

    I like how you can actually hear his rack toms, instead of them just sounding like another kick

    Tight as fuck indeed \m/ Saw them 13th of May in the Netherlands. The band just sounds extremely tight and the music is so intense. Going to see them the 18th of November again opening for CoB and LoG. To be honest...I'm there for Sylosis. Those who didn't see them live yet...go an check it. They are amazing live!

    +Ali Richardson Is that a Yamaha oak kit? Sounds MASSIVE. Dave McClain of Machine Head uses the Yamaha oak kit and sounds similar in its timbre. Crushes!

    • @derricklewis5397
      @derricklewis5397 3 года назад +2

      I just realized that you don't by the fact that the song stops half way and Josh starts the song up himself

    At 3:19 I see you triggering a background melody, do you guys hear a clicktrack with that?

    • @alieatsdrums
      @alieatsdrums  9 лет назад +4

      Morris Kramer No click track at all during the set. This particular sample is some synth pads, so I can play around it. I do trigger other samples in the set though that require me to be in time. For them, all I can do is pray that it's a good night haha!

    Hi Ali, I've just created a backing track with bass, backing and backing guitars and this exact drum play though. Was hoping to get your permission on uploading it to you tube, I will obviously credit you in the description! Thanks.
