      Yeah brother 100% the lower link is actually just metal without bearings or bushes so the holes for the bolts elongate over time giving some play!

However, I since this video I also replaced my triangle with a CNC one from e-volve Uk and it made the bike a fair bit quieter again as it fits nicer with better tolerances removed a small clicky / clunk from the suspension which had been bugging me! any video for the oring install ? I'm trying to do it by just using snap ring pliers in between the mainframe and sprocket and having a tough time. Also, where do you get 2.4mm orings ?I got 0.10" inch ones which are very slightly too big and they honestly don't fit behind the c-clip. Is it possible to just push the sprocket back and wedge the oring in behind the c clip? or do you have to remove the clip ? because it almost looks like I can create enough space to wedge the oring in...

  • @aaronbligh3619

    O ring for the chain is as much use as a chocolate tea pot, the machines tollerances are done digitally, it's like that for a reason , metal expands

    • @stingyrogerr
      @stingyrogerr  5 месяцев назад +4

      Ok bro. The sprocket expands 15% when it reaches 30°c from ambient from being 7 inches away from the motor and 2 inches away from a luke warm gearbox! Makes a lot of sense that 👍🏻
      Only thing comparative to a chocolate teapot here was that comment. On dirtbikes the engine reaches way over 150 degrees celcius externally so they require floating sprockets but even those are less than 5% tolerance in space. Even at 30kw my bike doesnt exceed bath water temp externally and they all these talaria/surron motors cut off around 120° internally.

    Re tightening the headset, mine still has the original part yet. I can't see up in the hole, looking up from the bottom, what size bolt or allen head is it? Ive tried a 10mm socket, different sizes allen, and nothing can catches. Is it a star type, and if so, what size? Tia!

    • @stingyrogerr
      @stingyrogerr  Месяц назад +1

      The original headset uses a starnut, the bolt in the cap in the top of your stem bolts into the starnut sitting below it, to tighten you want to loosen your lower crown a bit then tighten up the starnut before re tightening lower crown. I swap all my bikes over to stem locks, a solid bolt all the way through to the lower crown clamping between the stem and lower crown, like a nut and bolt. A starnut will eventually slip👍🏻

    So you told us about the headlock & headset but not how you stopped the nose 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Hi there, thanks for watching! I don’t understand your comment! What nose?
      If you mean noise then I think I explained in the video that when the headset works its way loose it begins clicking and making noise.
      the head lock as explained clamps everything together and doesn’t let the headset come loose again after you install it - in return the headset never makes that noise again as it never comes loose again.
      Hope this helps!

      Thanks bro I bought a talaria X3 and my suspension under the seat keeps squeeking do you know how to fix that?

    • @stingyrogerr
      @stingyrogerr  Год назад

      @renagadegamer1384 no bro! Sorry man, unfortunately not many people in the UK have the x3 as its £3,500 here and a brand new surron or mx3 can be had for £3,800 so it may be a while until I can get my hands on one!
