I'm in overwhelming ecstasy just to know that riff at the end, which first appeared in a video of Mark of bias fx in 2014 or 2015, will finally be in a song of them. I've been playing that riff since years ago! It's cool af to know a riff of an unveiled song that long ago before the release of an album (especially) from Periphery.
MeowTheRainbowX That actual bullshit, clearly you don’t listen to this type of music enough. There are plenty of songs that incorporate this type of playing and build, and still manage to pull off amazing pieces.
are you crazy? the "happy" ending is actually very dark and doesn't feel happy at all. just listen to what Spencer sings. this one sounds way more playful and it wouldn't fit the song at all. so glad it didn't make it
It was actually used for a GGD Advertisement, funny enough. Maybe they’ll add it later knowing Misha, he likes to use older stuff and revamp it on future albums. Only time will tell.
I would love to hear some Mikael Åkerfeldt style lows on some of these tunes. I love spencer and I wouldn’t change him but maybe some guest vocals like on periphery two
10:15 I don't care what it is, I just NEED this to be on the album. I have been tapping this rhythm out on my desk for months now and if I don't get to hear this on the album I'll have wasted so much time fingerdrumming.
12:12 "That would be cool actually, like a robotic voice that matches all those accents" a few moments later.... SOIL WE KNOW! BECOMES OUR, OWN HOME! NOW WE'RE STARING AT THE GROUND TOGETHAAAA!"
5:22 I can't hear it in Garden in the Bones, though. :( Also, we had crush right in front of us all the time, never came to mind until RUclips recommended Mishas video in my feed.
I'm convinced that if these guys were an instrumental band, I'd enjoy them so much more. His vocals just do absolutely nothing for me, but the musicianship is next level.
Disagree. I’m a massive instrumental music fan, and I’m a guitarist, but Sponce’s vocals give me the chills in periphery’s music. I’d say he’s at least half of the reason I listen to this band
Reptile is longer than this whole compilation!!
Nice profile pic
ha I made it 420 likes
I laughed because it's true. Spectacular song.

Periphery V: Periphery VII.
Periphery V: That's gonna leave a mark.
@@sushio4357 oof
I love how those “track 11” clips were almost all from Reptile lmao
Most of the track 10 clips WERE Reptile. 😂
The one at the end of track 9 is reptile as well even tho he put 2 other songs on there
10:13 reptile, also the old demo focus hour
I MISSPELLED SATELLITES FUUUUUUCK
EDIT: BOTH TRACKS 10 AND 11 ARE REPTILE.
It's ok. Periphery misspelled their own band name for the preview video then reuploaded it. We all suck at spelling. It's no biggie.
lol I wasn't able to see the original misspell, though the comments section of that video is riddled with comments :P

Im gonna cry didn't heard it yet on the album

Just listen to danza 3 it's basically where the sound came from lol
It is happening. Check out Misha's latest update on FB.

:( maybe next time on Stale Hanin'
I think that was from a GGD ad
So sad
its in reptile
Jack Hooper I guarantee you it’s not
This is so sick. Half the unknowns could definitely be part of reptile too since a 17 minute song requires a ton of musical ideas
Ian Narewski reptile is 17 mins long?
Andrew Kropp just about yeah.
It's actually 16:37
Sleep’s Dopesmoker was an hour long and basically one riff soooooooo...
It was reptile
Thank you for this nice and tidy compilation Jacob! Was sick of having 12 tabs open to learn these riffs 😍

12:42 has to happen.
*djunt*
I’m so sad it was nowhere to be found on the record

Misha just posted an update and it seems like they will be using this. Sounds bit different but the general feel is there

@@kartd02606 yeah. Unfortunate isnt it? But I agree the album is the best work they've put out so far. Omega coming in close second

I honestly love their softer, more melodic stuff. Always beautiful compositions
I agree. If I could have an album full of songs more like Lune and Garden in the Bones, that would be the greatest.
I would have said that a before hearing blodd eagle. After hearing that I COME FOR WAR!!!
+Bryce Dahlke “Blood Eagle” is proof that open-note chugging and heaviness for its own sake don’t preclude amazing songwriting.
MeowTheRainbowX That actual bullshit, clearly you don’t listen to this type of music enough. There are plenty of songs that incorporate this type of playing and build, and still manage to pull off amazing pieces.
Listening to Periphery since 2010🖤🖤
Damn Mark has been teasing the riff at 13:20 for years now wonder if it'll ever end up in a song
It ended up on the positive grid/ mark holocomb video about jam up about 2:10
9:40, 12:44 and 13:20 are some of my favorite pieces of their work... hopefully P5!
I can’t believe how good this Album is sounding. Every song sounds like it’s going to be awesome.
they are like the post credits scenes of the MCU
I'm very impressed that you pulled this off so accurately without having any access to the completed versions of 7/9 of the songs
Honestly, it's just about a lot of careful listening - identifying tempos/keys and seeing what riffs work well together.
Thanks man. I really needed this to hold me over until the release.
Goddammit! I'm trying not to spoil the album for myself, but I still continue to search for any p4 content I can find. Periphery is a fucking drug.
1:06 reminds me of the vocal effects in Meshuggah's Mind's Mirrors
I really wish that heavy riff from Misha and Matt’s “beech can’t play this” ad makes it to CHVRCH BVRNER somehow!
Tone is unbelievable on this entire record!
I love the albums that were not recorded in a standard studio.
Everyone talking about 12:43, it's the song Wildfire from their new P5 album!
9:29 this is what it could've been the true ending of Satellites, instead of the happy one

@LombrelloMenestrello YTP nah
I'm so excited i threw my gaping brain asunder! Did i use that right?
I have no idea.
No you didn't
I would give it a 4/10 l. Needs more vibrato
Yeah but it was out tuning-wise
Yeah it doesn't make any sense. You should look up asunder
This might be their biggest album yet... I'm excited.
13:08 Get the blood pumping!
its so incredible seeing them play this because its the same exact performance as ive heard thousands of times

It will not be on the album. I brought it up on Facebook and Misha confirmed that it won't be on it.
Jonny Glessner FUCK source?
8:14 getting some Intervals vibes
sentient glow is older, Is from haunted shores
12:20 in love with that theme
damn the extras though. sounds straight out of a modern Doom game
Lmao at the riff from Wildfire. Didn’t make it on p4, but it did on P5.
Reptile and Follow your Ghost are sounding like my favorites based on this.
CHRVCH BVRNER is sounding like a bop too. (for me at least)
Andrew Murphy Same but something about Spencer’s clean melodies on Follow your Ghost I just find very exciting.
@@michaelsnyder1492 I love the parts where he says "Never forget, never forget!"
