Got one a few years back. It didnt take many ruck outings for me to say its some of the best money/value I've ever spent. Recently used it for the Refuge Ruckus carrying over 100lbs.

I bought one of these from one thief when he got the first batch. It does rock. I got like new and it was damn near perfect with only a few scrapes on the material probably from being shoved in a wall locker or something.

Recently got one of these packs from you guys, probably one of the best rucks I've ever used. Really comfortable too. Hoping you guys stock more FILBE hydration pouches soon btw! 😅

I've been going down the rabbit hole of finding out what I wanna get for my first ruck and this quickly shot up to the top of my list, I'm also looking at a Crib Gogh Anaconda 2 but nobody seems to have info on these where as these are well tested and known 👀🔥

@connormckay9429 it's the best option for the price and I know I'm biased but I not lying. Excluding one-off finds on FB Marketplace and such of course.

@onethiefsurplus Yeah I've been looking around hard at this the past few days and you are most likely gonna get an order from me when I get paid again in a few days for one if you still have them in stock fingers crossed 🤞

Even The Ghostbusters used the ALICE frame foot print for their proton packs, that technology will never die😂 I understand how that tech killed me back in 00' due to my longer torso as well, im 6'2" and can get away with a 32" inseam. ALICE killed me during my time in the Corps!

You seem like someone that would be fun to shoot the shit with about gear for hours, that's some good salesmanship. These are very cool packs. I have a few of the relatives in the CHIEF family, including the Flatbed, Switchblade, and my favorite EDC for electronics: the almost entirely forgotten Special Mission Patrol. The system has a few quirks but I agree that it's one of the most comfortable of its kind. It's a little sad seeing the supply slowly drying up, I think SOCOM is slowly replacing it with the aforementioned Switchblade, made by Catoma (the same guys who I think manufactured all of the Berry compliant versions of Granite Gear's tactical line). The Switchblade is a great idea, implementing lessons learned from the Flatbed and Patrol versions of the chief (and possibly borrowing a scandalous amount of influence from Bulldog Tactical's assistant gunner and mortar pack systems) but it's a far greater investment than the old Chief patrol and has a much smaller presence on the milsurp market, so it may take a while for it to catch on in the civilian world.

Recently got this pack in one of your mystery boxes. Really nice pack, but one the pads on the shoulder straps was missing. How would I go about getting a pad for that strap. Thanks

I lived 27/7/365 for almost 6 years out of the ilbe gen 2 as I backpacked the US. It was the Cadillac of packs, took a beating like nothing I had ever used and once you knew how to use it, was the most comfortable ruck I had ever used. My average load was around 55lbs. However! It had a few flaws that were key and never satisfactorily addressed imo even in the filbe system. I had no idea these existed! How crap! It literally addresses EVERY SINGLE THING I wish had been done on the ilbe! And for $200! Dude. Toss is a 4 piece sleep system for another couple hundred as a kit and your Armageddon ready!

@@davidkinderyeti6775 as a rugged patrol sized pack, I think it's about as close to perfect as you can get
