I have been on a low carb high fat diet for a year and a half now and have never felt better. Beef, butter, bacon ,eggs, chicken, pork and fish. I was on medication for acid reflux and I’m off all medications. No more acid reflux and no more statins. My ratios as shown in this video are 1.7:1 for LDL:HDL and .74:1 for triglycerides to HDL. I will never go back to eating the SAD diet. I’m 77 and wish I had known this 20 years ago.

I wish I had known this 20-25 years ago too! Years of very little salt, no eggs, very little meat, because doctors and the USDA (that darn Food Pyramid) told us so. Seven-eight years ago I went over all the nutritional and medical BS I had believed in. Doc put me on baby aspirin, I took it. Two years later he took me off that, and it wasn't till years later I learned the risk of bleeding strokes goes up, and the baby aspirin doesn't help with primary prevention of heart attacks. I eat low carb now, and my cholesterol numbers are great (not according to my doc, who things the LDL is high and ignores triglycerides below 50 and HL of 62.

Did clean keto for a couple of years and absolutely felt so much better....the ONLY area that I had trouble with keto was sleeping through the entire night and trying to gain muscle when I started working out at 52 years old. I experimented with carnivore and upped my protein and fat consumption exponentially and I was finally able to add about 10-15 lbs of muscle and I sleep VERY well now being 90% carnivore. I'm about to go 100% carnivore just to see but so far being 90% carnivore I haven't had this much energy since in my 20's and early 30's.

We have been taught all our lives that the way to deal with a health problem is to add something, a vitamin, a drug, a superfood a nutritional supplement. At its foundation, the carnivore way of eating is the idea that by REMOVING certain foods from a diet is better than adding something more. Instead of trying to CURE a disease caused by foods that contain toxins, remove the CAUSE and let your body heal.

This is a great video and I am excited to share with friends and colleagues but I have a HUGE problem with your insistence on grass fed beef and emphasis on toxins therein. You have to remember that this video is trying to reach people trying to decide between meat and plants. Veg and grains have WAY more toxins and antinutrients per bioavailable nutrition that meat! You never mention this, and it is a HUGE disservice to those choosing between eating more meat and more plants.

    • @DrDavidJockers

That is not true for everyone. Plant based defense chemicals such as lectins, oxalates, phytates are actually digested well by many people. There are certainty some that do not tolerate them and need to avoid them or severely limit them, but this isn't across the board. When it comes to pesticide/herbicide content, artificial hormones and antibiotics in foods - those are bad for everyone and they come in high quantities in conventional meat products.
