    Honestly I also thought Golden’s kid was Freddy too. Golden Freddy has always been such a mysterious figure that I thought for sure he’d be one of the kids lurking in the background.
    But man does that kid do a good job acting out his role. That character feels like someone who’d orchestrate UCN.
    Edit: I agree that William calling the animatronics small is hilarious because of how big they are, but also if that one Security Breach trailer is to be believed, that seems on-par for how he’d talk to other people.
    “When I first found you, you were _nothing._ You were small. Pathetic. Insignificant.”

    • @catelynh1020
      @catelynh1020 5 месяцев назад +77

      Weirdly enough, i felt i understood his motivations more than a lot of others who watched the movie with me.
      Sassing the animatronics that are bigger and scarier than him? They were children that he manipulated and abused before killing so they internalized the abuse even when their situation changed. He said it because they still *believed* it. Think hunchback of notre dame, where frolo used every chance to put down quasimodo to keep him obedient, to the point that he had to die (picked up and tossed off the roof by quasimodo in the nondisney versions, which was a very emotional part in the play).
      The getting the job scene where he's trying to disuade mike then makes the 180 when he gets up to leave? He's being a manipulator and he wanted mike to beg him for a job so he could go "well, i guess there's _one_ job, and i'll get it for you since you begged." He had already wanted to put mike in that job since his record was that he was not good at keeping himself on the straight and narrow so would be less likely to be missed in death, bonus points for being related to another kid he'd killed.

      I went into the movie blind from any spoilers and I instantly thought it was golden freddy :0
      He looked exactly how I imagined "cassidy", the kid haunting golden freddy, looked. Probably because of that "vengeful spirit" image from UCN.

    Finally someone agrees with me on the horror/gore aspect. I hear so many people complain the movie wasn't gorey enough and even if it the violence wasn't highly detailed, it was still...really brutal? The scene of Bonnie crushing that guy behind the door really stuck with me and don't even get me started on the bite. Maybe it's that whole thing about how showing less does more.

    • @mallk238
      @mallk238 5 месяцев назад +116

      It's definitely the level of horrific demise that A child under the age of 13 would look at and have nightmares about. People forget that kids have insanely active imaginations, and that blood and gore isn't the only thing it is best to avoid showing off to small children. Heck, I was a freshman in high school when the first game came out, and even the description of the bite was enough to give me chills. I can only imagine that anything beyond seeing the face eating cupcake would cause a ton of kids to lose sleep over it.
      Adults tend to not be as scared by the supernatural since generally they're a lot better at handling the unknown, but for kids, a ghost can often be just as real as a parent walking around in the other room late at night.

    As a note: the message in the end credits that “deteriorated” spiff tried to spell is COMEFINDME. This may be hinting at Sister Location and Micheal Afton coming to find his father in the suit. Sister Location could be the next movie if that is what the scene is hinting at.
    Edit: The music during the end credits along with the voice could also be hinting at Fnaf 2 and the puppet. This is more likely the case. I thank and give credit to my replies for pointing out and am restating the idea here.

    • @EndertheDragon0922
      @EndertheDragon0922 5 месяцев назад +48

      I’ve heard some people suggest Garret might play the role of the puppet since the puppet is so significant, and since they chose to play the same song used for the puppet’s music box in the credit, which is an odd choice considering he never showed up in the movie.
      Regardless of what they plan, COME FIND ME likely does refer to wherever Garret‘s ghost wound up.

Because william isnt actually at Freddys for most of the movie until the climax, so for that one guard (and presumably every guard prior), theyre basically lambs to the slaughter to fill Williams dark desire to continue killing even years after freddys has closed.

      I was questioning it as well, if they had done it while Mike was on his shift, it would have looked worse on his part and he would have definitely gotten fired. But because he wasn't on his shift he can't really be blamed for people breaking in at that point because he just straight up wasn't there. There is no one guarding the place during the day, so it wouldn't be his fault if something happened then, unless he literally left the door wide open before he left. (I know he does get blamed for it in the movie anyways, but still)

    • @ISS600
      @ISS600 3 месяца назад +1

      @dentedavocado Actually, you just made me realize something. Does Vanessa even known WHEN the break-in happened? Because, you could argue that Vanessa came to the pizzeria in the morning, found it in ruins, found the meds and assumed that it all happened during Mike's shift.
      Also, Vanessa did make some comment about Mike being too whacked out to lock the place up, so she could also assume that he was on the meds, left and didn't lock up, thereby giving the vandals easy access to trash the place.

      @@ISS600 If I remember correctly, Vanessa was with Mike the night before they broke in. One issue I have with the movie is at the end is when Mike tazes William while William was in the springlock suit the springlocks just don't activate and kill him there.
    Even though the FNAF 3 cassette tapes and the part with vanny using the broomstick on a springlock suit earlier in the film shows that the springlocks just goes off if the person wearing the suit decides to THINK while wearing them, and yet William gets tazed which is shown to shut down and fuck up the animatronics, and yet the springlocks decide that they don't want to snap there
    The springlocks are fragile until they aren't I guess

    • @imepic4430
      @imepic4430 5 месяцев назад +6

      im guessing since spring bonnie is william's favorite pet project/suit and it's not as totally wrecked as in fnaf3 that he's being doing maintenance on it, vs leaving it to rot like the doll springlocks. i imagine the beating up mike + tazer + cupcake was too much for however william maintained and upgraded the springlocks.
      crackpot theory as well, considering it hapoened *after* the true drawing happened, maybe there were traces of remnant contaminant on his suit from when the murders first occured? a bit of victim's blood spatter from years ago that could've influenced how reliable the springlocks were and made them more liable to finally fail after all the kids realized he's the murderer.

    • @dustyzoiveon6161
      @dustyzoiveon6161 5 месяцев назад +3

      @@imepic4430 I like the idea of Spring Bonnie turning against him myself, since it happened after it got magically-revealed Afton was being Evil and all the other animatronics turned on him. I'd always had the theory ever since fnaf 3 came out that the springlocks going off wasn't entirely an accident (the timing is just Too Convenient having them go off when all the spirits are trying to take revenge on him. Almost like Spring Bonnie was at least somewhat aware of what was happening and decided to take Afton down with him), so I *Love* that it could be read that way in the movie too.
      (Definitely not just cause I think the Spring Bonnie animatronic himself is cute and deserves to get revenge on his creator for using him for murder. Justice for the bunny boy.)

    once Fazbear Frights is built (FNAF 3, a haunted-house style attraction meant to be themed around the scary rumors of Freddy's), the people in charge discover the secret storage room in an old location and find a vintage animatronic suit - not having any other actual pieces in their attraction, they ship it off straight away.

      Also on Vanessa's change of heart - I think it's kinda implied that William was abusive, and she complied out of fear and hid everything until she was confronted with another potential child that might die. And throughout the movie she is fairly adamant (while being nice to Abby) that Mike should under NO circumstances bring her to the restaurant, I mean she literally said she'd shoot him if he did it again.

      ALSO ALSO the thing with Afton and lore - when Afton became Springtrap he was locked inside a 'backroom' in the pizzeria (hehe, backrooms - in the games I believe Henry learned of this and ordered all backrooms to be sealed off when the franchise went under so he would never be found) - For about 30 years Springtrap is lying there rotting away until the events of FNAF 3 when the horror attraction digs him up and Mike in the games finds him again. Dunno how the movie lore will work but that's the general consensus of the game lore.

    And it's why when they saw Abby's drawing they just snapped, they remembered, and I think Freddy's scream was to show how angry they were, he didn't just kill them, but used them to kill innocents; it's a scream of hate, guilt, regret, they almost killed an innocent kid like them because they were blindfolded.

      I would say it’s more likely it’s Vanessa, because she routinely checks in on the pizzeria as part of her job, and also seems to know the fate of the past night guards iirc. I also like the idea of it being Vanessa who cleans it up because it adds to yet another layer of her character, which imo is one of the best parts of the film if you read into it. She is aware that the animatronics are dead children because of her father being a murderer but cannot do anything because she deep down does love and want the approval of her father (which I feel is what is shown in her final words as she gets stabbed just being ‘Dad’; she cannot detach him being a killer from being her likely only family), and so she helps him cover up the animatronics being haunted by cleaning up the bodies, but also wants to care for the children by cleaning them as a way of making up for what William did. Obviously none of this is stated in the film itself, but this interpretation I feel adds a lot of depth to a character that feels very underdeveloped otherwise

    32:03 Afton doesn't "decide" to come back. He's literally locked in a room that he can't get out from, until he is found and put into fazbear fright in fnaf3

    Love that RUclips gave me the notification for this vid 3 days after the fact. I’d seen it when it came out but I appreciate the reminded to watch it again.
    Also I was talking with my friend and we’re both pretty sure this is the first time outside of the books that they call William afton by his name! But I’m glad to see that spiff also enjoyed the movie a lot, I had a great time opening night, same experience where people cheered every time an animatronic was shown. At the end when Vanessa said William afton, people cheered so loud almost nobody heard her next line.
