This is the best review of these on youtube. If you just got some new shoes just try to not care about creases, they were meant to be worn and destroyed
Thanks for the video - I didn't know crease protectors were but bought some Air Jordans that had them. So now I know what they are and how to use my new crease protectors. Appreciate the time you spent putting the video together and uploading it
Wow what a comprehensive video about crease protectors! I freaked out a bit when you creased your shoe! But surprisingly the protectors worked!!! Great job !
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! I decided to document my own experience because a lot of the videos I found didn't really answer too many of my questions...
Why didn't you wear a protector in just one shoe and not in the other, of the same pair of shoes? Seems like that would have given you the perfect control for this experiment. That way you don't have to worry about all the differences that come with 2 different pairs of shoes, along with making sure you're performing the same tasks (walking, hiking, running, etc...) You could then just view the pair of shoes after using them and easily view if they're really working or not. The only downside to this is it might be a little annoying because one foot may feel a little different than the other on account there only being a single protector in. But I would think it wouldn't feel that bad since you only have to wear it for only the length of the experiment.
Because he cared for the other pair more than the other 1 and some says crease add more style to js so if he will to the content which he does it is better to crease it equally . .
I bought from kicks shield which look identical to shoe shields. I got 3 pairs for 30 dollars. My biggest complaint is that neither company says which line is best to trim depending on which shoe size. It’s kinda up to the wearer to make the right decision
I'ma design sneakershield that cover the whole toe box and foot with foam insulation , make them to wear they love with the foot ,to promote movement and comfortability . I dunno but never got why they only make them to wear they come a little over halfway?
if you want to get somewhat of an idea of how it is going to work, ball up your toes similar to a fist (do it really tight) and try walking, beware when doing this it may hurt a little but try to look at your shoes when you do it.
Honestly I wear these in my Jordan 1 mids and I wore them quite a lot and I hardly have any creases on my shoe and the ones are probably the most easiest you can crease
Do you prefer these over Force Fields? I've personally had meh experiences with both, where the Force Fields don't appear to be "enough" for preventing creasing, but with the sneaker shields, they are just hella uncomfortable even with cutting out the sides and adjusting them as needed. Maybe it's just a size 13 thing lol.
I have tried both. I think my thing with the force fields is that once they start creasing, they're pretty much done and the function is gone. I chose to put up with the slightly more uncomfortable sneaker shields because they will maintain their shape a bit more even though the heat will soften them a tad during wear.
I got some for my airforces. One works and is comfortable but the other one comes up when I walk and my toes get trapped underneath the bottom. They hurt when I wear them for more than 10 mins and if I take them out then the shoes will be too big. What should I do??
How are they performing for you so far? For me, like i said in my video - not too bad comfort wise for long periods and the creasing really depends on the material of the toebox...
Should design a better one and sell it!!! The current creases work a little bit, but I feel like you could make a better one that prevents creases 100%.
Hey Stacey, thanks for the great idea. I have considered it. Ultimately, I'm not so sure how possible it is to make a product that completely eradicates creases. Definitely would have to straddle a fine line between comfort and function. More research needed for me hahaha!!
Like what I been saying one that covers the whole toe box all the way up to where the laces begin. Why they stop a little over halfway baffles me , if they made them to wear they covered the whole toe box and maybe put foam lining where your feet go to prevent how uncomfortable these can be over long periods of wear . Maybe I should patent a design like that lol.
Maybe ones with jointed together so you can still have mobility if you get what I'm saying ? I dunno but the way they are they don't prevent 100 they help but you'll eventually get slight creasing
@@draztiktunez7104 its gonna be uncomfortable for your feet to move because your feet naturally curve a bit so stopping it from curving is gonna be impossible
When it comes to these crease protectors the main thing is finding that balance between comfort and stiffness/keeping the toebox flat. I would suggest if it's a narrow-toed shoe then get a half size up and if it's around tote shoe like a Air Force One I would go your with the normal size .
