Gute Frage. Ich benutze Aceton Weil es am schnellsten trocknet. Je höher der Alkohol Kontent ist desto besser reinigt es das Haar. Isopropyl funktioniert wenn der Alkohol Prozent Gehalt hoch ist. Vielleicht 75%.
@@robertcauerviolins8570 Die handelsübliche Konzentration bei Isopropanol ist 99%. Müsste demnach klappen. Hab da einen Bogen, der nicht mehr so griffig ist. Ich versuch's mal und berichte dann. Hoffentlich macht das die Bogenhaare nicht kaputt. Bitte Daumen drücken - cross fingers, please.

does the alcohol not damage the hairs? just wondering
We have washed out bow hair several times and did not observe any damage, so I guess it's safe to say there is no harm done.

Ganz einfacher (billiger) Brennspiritus funktioniert großartig. Den haben wir bei uns in der Werkstatt für solche Zwecke täglich im Einsatz.
