    Awesome tips! 😁 So it looks like when you scrape the sides of your cake you end up with a skinnier bottom and flared top 🤷 maybe it's just the camera angle IDK I love your idea with the Violet in the white frosting brilliant! 😍

    Thank you, Emily! I've been using the whitener but I think it makes the buttercream have a grainy taste. I'm trying the violet instead for my next cake.

    I use all crisco, powdered sugar, clear butter and clear vanilla flavoring, some salt and if it going to be warm I use ice water instead of milk or cream because of not wanting to take the chance will milk products spoiling

    I love your videos. I have tried most of these methods (except violet colouring) but still find my buttercream changing back to a yellowish colour once the final coat is on & I put it in the fridge before decorating. Do you have any solutions please?

    What can I do to make my butter cream tastier . Not talking about flavour but to achieve robust taste, give it minty orange other taste ?

    Whenever I add violet to my butter cream it turns my decent white buttercream a dirty grey

    When you say substitute… do you mean half butter and half shortening? Please I need clarity

    • @n76543
      @n76543 Месяц назад

      substitute means replacing. so if you replace all the butter with shortening you'll get super white and awful tasting buttercream. and half/half is another thing

      It’s up to you! You can substitute all for the whitest results but you won’t have the buttery flavour. Or substitute half and you’ll have the butter flavour but it won’t be quite as white
