  • A few days in the life going about my normal routine while updating Remi’s bookshelf for Valentine’s Day, starting a scrapbook, baking a yummy heart sour dough loaf and sharing a favorite new recipe!

    Sour dough recipe:
    165g active sourdough starter
    300g water
    500g flour
    15g salt (I do 2 tsp)
    1. Mix and let sit 30 mins.
    2. Then stretch and fold.
    3. Cover with towel and let sit on counter in bowl for 9-10 hours.

    5. Then form into ball or oval and place into a banneton or colander cover with a plastic Walmart bag and tie tight. Cold ferment in fridge for 6+ hours.
    6. Let sit 30 mins while oven preheating.
    7. Bake at 475 for 25 mins with lid on.
    8. Then remove lid for 10-15 mins.
    Internal temp should be around 200 when done.
    Simmer pot recipe:
    2 oranges
    2 apples
    Few drops on vanilla
    Sprinkle in cinnamon
