    Hey Sarah, so I have 3 kids and I am currently pregnant with my fourth (32 weeks). I was 28 years old when I became pregnant with my first child, and because of our age, and the fact that me and my partner both worked full time, we decided to find out the gender so we could prepare for a baby girl early on, however we decided to go completely white themed furniture in her room, but have things such as pink pillow or blankets or blinds etc. When she (Freya) was only 16 months old, I fell pregnant with baby number two. As Freya was at the age of changes from a crib to a bed and all that, we decided to completely leave the nursery as it was, and give Freya another room, so that we could just move baby number two into the ready made nursery. As we went for a white theme with the furniture, it was ready for either gender so with baby 2 we decided to wait and not find out the gender. It turned out that we were to have a second baby girl (Gracelyn). When Grace was about 2.5 yrs old, we decided to have another baby! We decided to wait and not find out the gender of this baby because we had a lot of girl clothes if it were to be another girl, so we bought a few boy outfits and the rest fairly neutral. He turned out to be a little boy, named Landon. When Landon was only 8 months old, I accidentally became pregnant with baby number 4. due to the circumstances, Landon being very young, the girls starting school etc, life was quite chaotic and brining another baby into it was going to be quite difficult. Due to this we have decided to find out the gender of the baby, and it is another little girl (going to be called Taylor) she is due in around 7 weeks and we are beyond excited!
    Anyway, my point is I’ve had both surprises and knowing the gender, and I would probably recommend finding out the gender as you can prepare alot easier, however waiting is an amazing experience (as you know!!). Love you Sarah, sorry this was so long but I hope it helped! Xx

    I think you should find out but get the midwife to put the gender in an envelope and go to a shop and get a black balloon with the either pink or blue and obvs this is the gender but just give it the shop keeper and say you want it a surprise and do it together with all 5 of you and then it will be a great reaction especially from the girls or do a cake reveal where you have the inside cream filling of the cake either pink or blue and the icing on outside like white or yellow or something and then cut it and see what colour it is x

    May first baby was a surprise because the hospital had a policy of not divulging the baby’s gender ,
    My second baby I found out and he was a boy , I preferred finding it out , all the guessing and swinging back and forth boy/girl was so confusing I think I changed my mind a hundred times , plus shopping for the baby is boring , white , lemon and cream 😏 the positive things about finding out is that you can buy cute outfits , but I went ott and ended up with way too much , but the best things is the bonding , you can talk to them by name etc and you kinda feel like you know them already .

      Ariannauk1 Do you live in a country where women abort girls because boys are much preferred? I've heard that that's why finding out the gender is banned in certain countries/hospitals.

    I didn’t find out with my first (girl) and I loved it. I loved that my partner was the one to tell me what she was, through happy tears! With my second, we did find out (boy) and to be honest, I loved it just as much. It was nice to buy his ‘coming home outfit’ and to chose his name and we’d all talk about him using his name and imagine what he looked like etc. I would defo recommend finding out, just so you get both experiences, as honestly, they’re both brilliant!! X

    When I had my first two babies I didn’t know, but 16 1/2 yrs later I had another baby and I found out and I loved knowing, it actually strengthened my bond I think as I knew him as a little boy and talked to him and when his name was chosen I called him by his name. It was just so much more fun to me. I was 18 with my 1st, 19 with my 2nd and 36 with my 3rd. I was sick with all three and heartburn was awful, 1st (girl) 2nd (boy) 3rd (boy). I personally think it is nice to find out. I know you will do what is right for you and your family. And Sarah I’m so happy for you and Chris and the girls oh and little prinny too.

    We found out with both our babies. We had our names picked. So from the womb we were talking to our kids and calling them by name. Also super fun to prepare!! You still get the surprise of seeing what this little human looks like. It's all exciting!! Congratulations!!!

    I have 3 girls. I found out with 2 of the 3. I loved being able to prepare, but the surprise was so fun. I cried when they made the announcement it’s a girl! My 2 daughter refused to let us see on any of the scans what she was. You can always have the blood test and wait until later to get the answer if you haven’t decided yet what you would prefer.

    I'm also nearly 9 months! I've only been sick once and now it's just nausea, so wierd! I want to find out the gender so I can prepare properly. It's so exciting. I'm 18 and this is my first baby and I'm loving this experience. I'm actually loving watching your videos. I don't watch 'the ingham family' no more, I hope you understand that, but I love watching just you and these pregnancy updates seen as we are both almost 9 months. I've been loving watching other people who are pregnant who are similar to my due date so whatever my symptoms are or whatever I'm feeling I'll get to watch other people and see if they're feeling the same. I'll look forward to the next video X

    You can make your own vitamin water. Mint and strawberries, basil and oranges, or skip the herbs and just put your favorite fruit in some ice water and drink away. Fresh ginger helped a lot with my morning sickness. Zofran is a meltable tablet for extreme nausea. I was on that and ginger when I was pregnant. I hope this helps :)

    i know it's not a firsthand experience, but i'm 1 of 3 children, & i have 2 older brothers. My mum kept them 2 a surprise, however she found out with me as she said she wanted to buy lots of clothes and decorate my room and things & have a known experience to look forward to! she said as soon as she found out i was a girl she bought EVERYTHING cute & girly, so maybe you should find out this time & do a gender reveal party? would be such a nice vlog to watch💞💞

    Be careful buying lots of gender specific clothes. I was told one sex and bought tons of stuff and gave birth to a baby of the opposite sex!
    That said they are probably more accurate now.

    How Great would it be If Prinny popped a little balloon with her paw to reveal the gender! Idea on how to reveal: Either Each of the Girls (including Prinny) to have a balloon and pop it orrrr....Cut a cake it’s either Blue or Pink!

  • @brittanyhartung3352
    @brittanyhartung3352 6 лет назад +1

    You could always have the gender written in an envelope and have a gender reveal party. Best of both worlds, you find out early PLUS you still get surprised! You give the envelope to someone you trust like Jane or your sister and they can order a cake with pink or blue inside and you can throw together a party with both blue and pink. Then when you open the cake you, Chris, the girls, and everyone else invited find out together! Plus us IFAM bc you can record it and everyone’s reactions 😊.

    I really think you should find out because I think you should do a big gender reveal for the girls and make it really exciting for them. It will also give you a longer period of time to think of names and you don't have to waste time thinking of names for the other gender. 💜💜

    Congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm currently 27 weeks with my first baby! I'm from Scotland I didn't know it was possible to find out gender so soon or else we would have. We found out the gender at 16 weeks, a baby girl! We revealed to family by ordering a huge black balloon filled with either pink or blue confetti and popping it at our party. Hopefully the sickness eases off soon, I only really had extreme nausea that came at week 8 until week 17. I found that mints and sprite really helped when it was at its worst.

  • @natashahein4310
    @natashahein4310 6 лет назад

    I'm 21 weeks pregnant with a little girl, due December 20th. I just found out the gender this past week at the 20-week scan- I don't know when they do it in the UK, I'm in the states so that's the really long one where they look at the heart from about 20 different angles. She was way too active at the 18-week ultrasound, doing some crazy version of the splits, after a while of trying to get her to move away from the umbilical cord she did the famous Home Alone face.
    I always thought I would want it to be a surprise, but now that I'm pregnant I realize how useful it is to know the gender. I'm lucky that I have a lot of resources open to me to get free or really inexpensive gently used baby clothes, but about 95% of those clothes are gender specific, so it made more sense economically for me to find out now rather than pay a lot more money for gender neutral outfits. Plus we were too excited to wait anyway!

    My mum had me and she knew that I was a girl then when she had
    My sister she didn’t know and my mum said that she’d rather know if you have already got a child and that it’s good to know because if your buying things or decorating a nursery and it’s apparently a more fun experience for the other kids because they know what is coming and they could even have some really cute baby names!

    Something that actually works is getting 1 strand of your hair and your wedding ring and then put the ring in the middle and go in circles around your hands 5 times and then put it in the middle and if it’s a circle it’s a girl and if it’s a line it is a boy but the first 3 should be circles because you have 3 girls xx

    We kept our first child a surprise! It was definitely excited however with our second child we decided we wanted to find out the gender as we already had our little girls nd we wanted to make it easier for her to bond with her little brother from the start 💙💖💗

    I had experience of both, I found out with my first little girl and loved pre buying everything especially when it was sale time at the shops I definitely felt more prepared. I didn’t find out with my second little girl as daddy didn’t want to. I found it a lot harder, had to buy a couple of gender neutral things then once baby was born we went shopping for girl bits (although I kept a lot of girls stuff from my first little girl) but wanted to buy some new bits.

    I found out with my three babies at 18-19 weeks pregnant, this baby we found out at 15 weeks pregnant. We have two girls and a boy , this baby is a boy . I had the same symptoms with this baby as I did with my girls so I was sure it was a girl but was very surprised it is a boy . I think finding out before I nice because you can prepare and all that .

    Just want to congratulate you on your pregnancy. Also, ginger ale is supposed to help quell the sicky feeling, with both of my pregnancies I swore by the seabands travel bands, they are for travel sickness, but also work very well for morning sickness, you can get them in Boots, but I guess most big pharmacy stores may stock them. I know your away on your holiday right now, but maybe you can get them in Australia. :-)

    I had 4 of my pregnancies that produced children (2 miscarriages). 3 boys, 1 was unknown and 2 we were told would be girls but they were boys. Then our last we paid for a professional 3D scan to find out we were finally going to have our girl!! I would recommend finding out since you had not done that before. So much fun in the planning and organizing process. Also for us it was great preparing the boys for rules about modesty. It was at this point we realized that the boys did not know that boys and girls had different “bottoms” lol. I now wish we would have done the 3D for all of them and would have really been able to bond with my bump! I say it is a surprise no matter when you find out so allow yourself the joys of fun shopping! AND I know you guys would throw such a fun gender reveal party!! 💜😘 sending positive thoughts and prayers that your hormones settle and the sick feeling gets better

    With my second I went to have a gender scan out and it was a baby boy x I felt so much better knowing as I could buy lovely outfits
    I’m currently pregnant with our 3rd baby’s and I had complications so I had cvs test and that came back that it was a baby girl x

    I’ve had 4 baby’s, all boys. Each of my pregnancy’s have been different, I’ve suffered shocking sickness with them all, all at different stages of my pregnancy’s. I was
    Convinced my 4th was a girl, he’s very much a boy 🙈 all had different heart beat rates too! The only old wives tale I stand by is the nub theory! Past 12+5 it’s pretty accurate :)

My two girls actually chose the new babies name ( my son was to young as he was two) so I e joyed both the not knowing and the knowing. Xx
