We searched and searched until we found Arlo. We fell in love. The first outfit we bought him once we found out he was a boy had little planes on it, which is why he became Arlo-Jett. Although both names are popular now, especially after Katie Price’s little boy Jett. Our baby girl was easier to name. Ever since I was a little girl, I loved the name Valentina so we set on that. Rose is my MIL’s name so she’s Valentina-Rose. I was 20 when I became a mum and when my boy was tiny, Anna Saccone was just announcing her pregnancy with Emilia. She helped me a lot and was the reason I wanted to try for another baby, which is why Valentina-Rose’s middle name is Emilia. X

I think those “unpopular” names are far better than popular names as you don’t want your little boys name to be easily forgotten or just blend in with all other basic names. Middle names are always so much better when they’re an Ode to someone wether that’s a family member, someone you think is a good influence or a name that you have chosen specifically for it’s meaning like a virtue name. If you have a two syllable first name, i would go for a one syllable (eg James) or three syllable (eg Oliver), lost of first names sound better with a second name that has one more or one less syllable, but some names do go the same, like Isabelle Sofia.
