I'm a case manager in FL and can confirm that there is a huge need for foster parents. I agree with you that opioides use and drug addiction is the main reason for these kids to be abused or neglected. They are the ones that suffer the most. It breaks my heart when siblings are separated. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, for opening your home to care for the children in need, to share God's love in their lives and for doing your best on keeping siblings together. I pray for you and your family in this journey. I would love to foster in the future and teach my kids about kindness and serving others. Can't wait for your next video when you receive your first placement. Just a suggestion, have your kids ready and prepare, as foster children can show trauma behavior and sometimes it will be challenging. God bless.
Praying for strength, wisdom, patience and gods protection over you and your mission. Those children who are lucky enough to be blessed by your love will surely be impacted the rest of their life. Godspeed
Wow Jady your discipline and strength always amaze me! Your such a loving, caring, strong mother! Glory to God. Praying for your family during this journey. I’m adopted and can say that you are truly an amazing inspiration to me!
Please keep a camera or something in the bedroom for any child that stays in the room with your son. Children that have been abused unmeaningly abuse other children! This is such amazing and impactful work, just something to be super vigilant about. Making sure your children are able to voice when/if something abusive (sexual or otherwise) were to happen with the other child is something to majorly consider. Children from a very young age that have been abused, can often act that abuse out on younger/weaker children. Just something to be aware of! Praying for this for you all!!! Would love to do this with my family one day!!!
Yes this is one big fear that keep people in the sidelines and never help kids in the system. It is a valid concern but most kids who are abused do not necessarily abuse others especially those 5 and under. My son who will be seven knows what inappropriate behavior is. Placements will be 5 and below. I have worked with foster kids before I am not afraid of sexual abuse victims. If anything I want to help sexual abuse victims because their childhood has been stolen. Can you imagine the life of a child five and under who has been sexually abused? This is heart breaking. I have measures in place for safety. No need for cameras but I think people focus too much on worse case scenarios that are unlikely to occur. My heart is just in offering a bed to a child who needs it. Offering a family to the child that has nothing. We live in a society that focuses too much on what will happen to us if we help someone. That is why you see passerby’s see people in hard situations and they do not help them. They stay close watching and feeling compassion but there is never action. They are afraid if they help they will be hurt. I pray for courage everyday to be someone who does not focus on being hurt but someone who focuses on helping the hurt. It has taken time for me to see this. Pray for my family as we take on this mission of foster care this year.
@@JadyA Jady, thank you for answering this question so thoughtfully as we have the same fears that cause us hesitation to consider fostering in the future. We will keep praying about this.
God bless you for fighting fear with FAITH! God is on your side, and He won't fail you when you remain in His will. Thanks for sharing and encouraging the rest of us on our own walks, Jady!
Fostering is a priceless gift. We fostered last year, we had the baby for birth until 5 months. My kids love the baby so much and were devastated when he went home to be with his mom. But kids are resilient and did fine with time. Since then, the baby's mom has wanted us to be a part of their lives. They have come to church, had his 1st birthday at our home and they come by a couple times a month. It was such a blessing, and I don't regret fostering at all. It is tough and the system doesn’t necessarily do what i feel is right all the time but we were blessed with wonderful social workers.
By little man (now three) has that same fox that's in the crib, it was is first birthday gift from us. It has stood up to a rough and tumble boy and I love that it's nontoxic when he's snuggled up with it! I have an obsession with nontoxic, age appropriate, high quality toys - that happened to be what I gifted to my friend who fosters children too.
when I was working in kindergarten, I know that God has called me to something else. Only when I stepped out and have calm time with may family and God, I could clearly hear Him call us to foster care. It is an adventure. We had our first girl after 5 months that our biological daughter love so much. In a few months we will adopt her but also take another kid in foster care. Also, God has open a house for us with 6 bedrooms so we can take 3 more kids. It is a real adventure. God is changing us and is just beautiful how He is changing our lives. Thank you Jady for helping us to live a beautiful family lives.
All paperwork is done! We will proceed with our home inspections for possible placement on 2 children, 0 - 5 years old. Prayers for smooth transitions not only for babies but our household of 7. I want to help, but I'm a sensitive soul, God protect our hearts and use us to impact our community for His glory. We have done this twice before for family(Kinship), 1 baby boy for a year (CPS) and a teenage girl for 4 years(non CPS). We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! Philippians 4:13
Thanks for sharing this. I can see your eyes light up, like a new inspiration from the Holy Spirit, a new mission, a new passion. I pray your home will be a safe haven and place of support/restoration for many precious children. Thanks for opening my eyes to this need. I will also see how my family can help in a fitting way in the future. Reminded me of the verse- James 1:27 - “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction..."
If you haven't already learn everything you can about TBRI Also the book Reframing Foster Care by John Johnson and the devotional Filled by Jamie Finn are books I highly recommend! Good luck to your family!
Hi jady I'm praying for you all, my parents took in my siblings when I was 12 and now I'm 27 my parents have taken in another girl . If you or kids need to chat I know the challenges but the rewards are great ! Don't forget to stop spreading the Gospel with those kids ! Also I suggest celebrate recovery Website is under same name recommend to parents they can continue to connect with a local church family and receive help . After they regain custody even in the waiting time there also a children's program
Sorry, Unrelated, but I was about to get the elemental phonics bundle and I closed the page by accident. I can't find the bundle on the website. Do you have a link? Please
The foster kids that come into my home are not mine as much as I would like to homeschool them-They have to go to school unless I would be granted special permission by the state and their parents to homeschool and that is unlikely. So they will be going to Preschool and Kindergarten which is the age range I have but if you know me and my love for learning- I will be supplementing and helping them at home! I have tons of resources to use for those age ranges. I am sure to have them reading before they even enter school if possible.
I was always told never to mess up the birth order of your own children. Lots of these children that come have been sexually abused and can do things to ther children in the home.
I think what you're doing is beautiful but to be very careful because there have been kids as young as 4 abusing other little kids in the house, we just never truly know what some of these children have came from.
We went through foster training and the social worker said going out of birth order is not a problem. My husband is a social worker therapist for trauma and told them that they are incorrect and shouldn't dismiss reality.
When people let fear take over them they will never do anything. While some children have been sexually abused- this does not mean they will abuse your children. Especially children under 5 which is what I am taking in. My son who is 6 turning 7- knows what is inappropriate and will be the older one in that room. I am not afraid he will be abused. I am afraid more people will not open their opens for unfound fears. Yes it can happen but it is unlikely to happen with younger children and there are safety measures that can be put in place for teen placements.
I understand we don't want fear to over take us or we may never do more work for Christ but we also never want our own children to be injured. I think it's just always a good rule of thumb to make sure the children being brought in are younger than your youngest.
@@tsingh7275this is about fostering. That is not forbidden. Nevertheless, I do not want a discussion, I am not educated enough for that. Also I just wanted to say that Jady inspires people all around the world. This is beautiful. Love ❤

how do you find a job like working in a distribution center in my state?
Im thinking about doing this...
Amazing!
What if you are given an infant who wakes crying during the night, will you keep the baby in your child’s room?
of course not that is why I have the crib in my room. That would be inconsiderate of my part to leave a crying baby in my son's room.
Can you indicate to the county the gender of the child that you will take?
yes you can.
🙏🏼❤️
