I have never been able to belch. It is incredibly uncomfortable and prevents me from eating much because I fill up with gas before I fill up with food. I did not know that there were as many folks out there with the same issue. I have the “frog / gurgling” issue as well. I actually went to the doctor today about it and he wants to send me to a GI doctor because he had never seen anything like it.
Same here, cant even drink wine, because I will get frog noises or pain in stomach. FROG noises for whole day - without relief..... stupid shit body

I make the frog croaking noises, and I get so gassy I also end up hiccuping a lot. I would also get really gassy when I drink, so I would bloat a lot but I'd feel like vomiting, and when I do vomit, I end up burping a lot. But burping seems so alien to me that I'll also just feel like vomiting after everything as well

I have had this all my life. I’m 50 now. I could never drink soda and burp with my friends when I was a kid, the gas would build up and I felt like my chest was going to explode..fast forward to my 20’s a d a night on the town chugging beer after beer meant I had to stay up all night gurgling until the pressure went away and I could finally sleep. It’s safe to say this has ruined at least part of my life. Hopefully I’ll get the treatment I need soon thanks to this doctors’ work.
I'm in my 20' now and about one week i been feeling so sick and like i want to vomit. I have no memory of burping. Except one time i was so sick i used my finger to throw up and a small burb came out and i felt such a relieve. I told my mom and she looks at me like I'm crazy.

I’ve mentioned it to doctors and other healthcare professionals during casual public conversations in coffee shops, on domestic flights etc, and they all had no idea what I meant. It’s frustrating..I mean doctors🤷🏼♂️..all they’ve pretty much said is that it sounds like acid reflux and I should try antacids. I rarely have stomach acid issues. It’s gas that can’t escape…but for you, a young person, you might not suffer a lifetime like I have because it’s been recognized and named…and also you’re a member of a pretty small and exclusive club😉🤩
I'm young and I don't know how to burp because we don't normalize practicing babies to burp here in my country so I never got to learn how to burp even tho my parents easily burp

plz tell me im not the only one whos has mad symptoms constant pressure in chest gurgling and popping noises can even make me feel breathless and i defo carnt burp spend most of the day regurgitating acid and more like a wet gurgle. my docs dont listen to me gives me meds that dont work and just keep thobbing me off to someone else. even tried convining me its anxiaty and its all in my head its defo not plays havoc with my life daily disturbs my sleep its changed the way i eat and drink because everthing i do seems to effect it in some way ☹️ im from the uk so i dnt think im any closer to getting the right help

I have this. If you cannot get treatment, and you’re having a bad bout of chest pressure, finding some privacy and activating your gag reflex a few times has helped me dramatically. It is not fun to do, but is way better than the alternative sometimes.
Sadly your case is the same as many others. Many people also avoid drinks and even parties due to the social anxiety of having to excuse themselves to a corner of the room to relieve themselves with extreme flatulence.

I've only burped less than ten times in my entire life, and even then that's only when I'm incredibly bloated, and it just happens automatically and suddenly. And they're just tiny little burps too.
I've never been able to just burp on command or whatever. Not sure if this indicates some medical issue or I'm just amazingly stupid - like someone simply not knowing how to blink their eyes, or breathe.

I’m exactly the same. You’re not alone…sucks doesn’t it! If I have the gurgles in bed I have to get up and do sit ups - yes you read it correctly - sit ups and the gurgling speeds up and gets stronger so the gas can escape.
Learn how to breath correctly and and focus on how you hold you neck. itll come out easy

This is my exact same thought problem, it’s not that u don’t burp at all, I’ve just only burped at most 20 times my whole life and they’re so small.

One of the treatments they offer for R-CPD includes botox injection through the mouth into the cricopharyngeus muscle, which sits just below the vocal cords and regulates the passageway of food into the esophagus.

Alright I'm seing a lot of people who like me have this. I actually found a trick that makes it so much better and easier to live with, here it is : basically you have to activate your gag reflex so you belch, you can do it by irritating the back of your throat, just go somewhere with privacy and you put your fingers in your throat as if you were making yourself throw up and for an instant your muscle will give up by reflex and you will do a a loud ass bazooka burp, but you won't vomit, instead up pointing your head down, just look up, make it so the air has the easiest way out and from the built up pressure in your chest, it will just shoot out haha.
Having gas trapped in you is like a balloon that you fill with water, then blow air into, basically all the air is at the top. So as long as you keep opening the balloon, only air will come out until you empty it, then you might start throwing up.
I've been doing this for like 3 years now, and it's an immediate life improvement, it does require privacy because of the absolutely deafening burps you produce but the relief is immediate, you just instantly let go of all that pressure in your chest and triggered what I call a "manual burp". I get you have to make it over the initial "I'm gonna throw up" phase, but trust me, you're not and it helps sooo much.

Thank you for the suggestion! It worked wonders for me. I tried walking, jumping jacks, and everything else I could think of, and I thought I was going to vomit, but I didn’t and I managed to overcome that phase. I'll definitely keep this in mind for the future. Thanks again for your help! 👍👍

Update: she has done it several times and the burp finally came out, she did this standing and putting her head back and doing the Gag reflex. I SUGGESTED to put my D in her throat but she didn't want to 👀
OMG....my son suffers from this since infant and today he is 19 years old. I will find him the help he needs asap.
He need sto foucused on concentrative breathing and he needs to start holding his neck up straight and use his stomach muscles when breathing. burp will come out with good breathing. his breathing is bad probably has anxiety.
@@sKid-kk6hu I'm 21 and suffering from this all my life. I'm making frog sounds as I write this every couple of seconds without being able to release the air fully ever. Unfortunately I live in Serbia and there's no way I'll get any medical attention for it here.

This treatment has been around for a few years and insurance doesn’t consider it medically necessary.

It started earlier this year for me. Its terrible, Im constantly bloated and I have a lot flatulence which can be so embarassing
I've only seen a handful of doctors that are willing to do this. One popular one thankfully is 3 hours from me and I have a procedure soon with him. I am so excited. I have been struggling so bad with SEVERE bloat. I've never burped ever.

Insurance didn't cover the procedure and the doctor ended up leaving the practice so I wasn't able to have the procedure.

I have been suffering from this since I was a little kid, I am now 5years old and still unable to burp, I can only seem to fart. what helped me was going to the gym and do weightlifting and yoga, meditation, and unleashing sage mode and chakra. I can now finally burp and get up and dislike this video. THANK YOU DOCTOR YOU LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE.
Just keep practicing and eventually you can do it. Not perfect but does kind of work
I recently found that excessively spraying my throat with Chloraseptic helps. I also noticed that when I run, jump rope, or do plyometrics I eventually will burp, but those only work about 75% of the time.

@@annamorgan6765 actually yes. I realized I had weak upper abdominal muscles. Couldn’t actively contract them. I started by doing crunches sort of slouched on the couch. Wasn’t ready to do them on starting in hooklying position. Trying to focus on my upper abs. After about a week I started to feel an active contraction. Then I noticed I had quite a bit of separation between the left/right rectus. So i started doing my crunches with in a slight rotation. 10 on each side till pretty much fatigue. All of a sudden I’m able to burp and no more heartburn issues. I got super busy and didn’t do my crunches for 2.5 weeks and my I noticed the nausea/sick to my stomach/ball in the throat feeling came back. Did my crunches and it went away after 2 days. Give it a shot. Don’t hurt yourself. Just do enough to get a contraction and progress as tolerated.

Two MDs brushed me off when I told them I couldn't burp. I think it's now causing G.I. issues. I legit have so much bloating and gurgling after even small meals. IF I have a big meal, I can't even lie down. In order to get ANY relief, I have to go wash my hands and stick my finger down my throat to 'manually" let out that air. It's been life long for me. I know my HMO won't cover Botox for this. So sad.
Omg I’ve had to do that too - stick my fingers down my throat. I eat standing up. I find that sitting seems to create..I don’t know..a crease in my stomach, and that creates more gurgling and bloating… but obviously if I have dinner in an organized setting like thanksgiving or a business lunch I have to sit down. The anxiety of the inevitable gurgling ruins it and I can honestly say I’ve never enjoyed a meal sitting down - ever, since I was a kid. It sucks. It’s definitely had a negative effect on my social life.

I'm trying to eat slower and working on cutting out my seltzer water. It seems a little better, but I'd much rather know why this is happening. My, my sister and my dad have never been able to burp. He always described it as a "dysfunctional burp flap". I guess that's not far off. Haha
In a sense, the concept is close! Sometimes the inability to burp doesn’t affect people’s day to day activites. They can go their whole lives without burping and feel fine. Others-and the ones you normally see describing their symptoms online-have EXTREME daily misery from excessive bloating, social anxiety, and regular discomfort. The sad part is that many doctors laugh their pain off or dismiss it as something else. Fortunately the treatment is becoming more and more recognized and available to people who want relief from their symptoms.
The only way I’ve ever been able to burp is when I have a STRONG urge to throw up. Like I have to push it to the limit and hope I don’t end up actually spewing everywhere. I’ve only done it about 4 times though twice on purpose. Hope this helps anyone else with this bullshit.

I wonder if magnesium supplementation would help. Magnesium deficiency is very widespread, and our muscles (most likely including the sphincter involved) must have magnesium to physically relax. They can't relax without magnesium. Just something for people to consider trying.

I can not burp. I have never been able to. Instead a sound is happening in my throat, air wants to escape but it can't. Instead I am nauseas, I get tired and I sometimes have e very slimey saliva. It is not fun. It happens when I drink pop. It is like you have to throw up but you can't.

@@mesazead473 really, went to this facility last year to solve my issues . Only choice is to try again or supposed more permanent choice other than the Botox . Must pay everything again which cost me a thousand or two after all insurance which they don’t pay Botox so you are forced to pay that in advance as well.

I just had the procedure done a couple weeks ago in Colorado. Botox injection down the throat. It has worked wonders and have been able to burp for the first time in my entire life. Its an incredible feeling.
