Hey I’m Josh from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a proud father of 3 and passionate about heavy music.
I was the bass player for post-hardcore/alternative rock group Capulet from 2004-2012, releasing an album, EP and several demos.
Capulet were signed to Red Bull and the Taperjean Music Group alongside Closure in Moscow and The Mission in Motion.
Highlights of my music career were playing with amazing bands like Anberlin, Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Haste the Day, Awaken I Am, and touring Australia several times.
I wasn’t the most technical bass player, but lived for performing on stage. I have always loved the process of song writing and the visual art that accompanies music.

this song is ridiculous. the ending is like the endings of ragnarok, lune and luck as a constant all combined. i love the way spencer breaks the note off into a scream, it's so beautiful

@DeFi CyaNide I'm the same as you, i really can't decide. this is probably my third favourite album from them. P2 is my fav, with P3, P5, Omega, P4 and Alpha coming after it. i can't comment on P1 yet as I haven't actually listened to it - I'm enjoying the other albums too much. I'll definitely listen to P1 real soon though
Dracul Gras is by far my favorite song on the album, although the entire thing is a masterpiece from front to back 🔥🤘
Can we just all appreciate how amazing the control and range the vocalist has especially in this track?! Like jeez he should get an award for the vocals on this
Yeah, Spence is a beast. He’s gotten so much better compared to his earlier performances and just keeps on improving; love to see it.
This song is amazing. I think it’s one of, if not, Spencer’s beat vocal performance. Favorite songs from the album are wax wings, dracul gras, thanks nobuo, zagreus and wildfire.
An actual breakdown to that ending must be insane…the feeling is so strong.
The last section of this song is truly heavenly

I think we all love the musicality of Periphery, that often we neglect the lyricism of Spencer. Of course his voice is amazing. But I was really touched by this songs message.

I have this album on repeat from release , silhouettes my least favourite song although I still like it , ‘ THANKS NOBUO’ , ‘DRACUL GRAS ‘ are also lethal tunes never mind the first 4 songs on the album , absolute masterpiece of 2023

I gotta argue, you can't compare wax wings with wildfire. Let me explain, lol
Wildfire is a cool mess, but a mess nonetheless. That song is a bunch of wildly different ideas mashed together, and there you go. It's like shock prog, it hits you with something different when you least expected.
Wax wings, on the other hand, is a harmonious masterpiece of a lot going on, in every direction while still sounding perfectly put together. Each part flows perfectly into the next. Flawless production and nothing over the top while extremely being over the top 😂🫶🏾
I mean this is nothing new. P1/p2 and alpha omega are littered with these types of tracks
