The unfortunate thing though is that unless they break laws to get their way then there isn't much that can be done. I would think the leading members would keep their noses clean and be extremely careful in who they choose to run the more shady side of thing. Seems there will always be people who are willing to sacrifice everything to do whatever they feel they need to in order to push the agendas they believe in.
The ones complaining about fuel prices are the same ones that don't want to talk about fuel prices under bush jr. I don't like the price of fuel but i sure as hell know that the president doesn't have anything to do with the price of a gallon of gasoline.
They have more to do with it than any other individual person. I don't think anyone is claiming they have ultimate authority at that level, but the President's policies absolutely reflect on the economy. And get out and talk to a conservative, we don't like Bush and will readily admit he was a bad President. Still better than Clinton, Obama, or Biden, but that isn't saying much.

Bits and pieces of it. Not all republicans are on board though... at least not yet. I think the more important bit will be to spread the word throughout the voters on their agendas and who is attached to it so they can be wiser in their voting choices.

If you take the time to read it comprehensively, it is dangerous, detrimental, and disgraceful that a a political party would come up with something like this. Even if it is not 2025, it could be 2029 and beyond. Many individuals better wake up to the reality of this.

Oil prices go up in Fall & Winter and down in Spring & Summer when most homes don't need heat, maybe just for hot water. Gas prices go up in Spring & Summer when most people hit the road for vacations. It happens every year.

Because it’s no longer just about “MAGA”. “MAGA” didn’t draft and publish Project 2025. The Heritage Foundation, and corporate interests more broadly, did.
Most corporate interests don't like to rock the boat, especially when things are going well for them. Under Biden they have enjoyed nothing but record-breaking profits. The stock market has never done better. So why would they support an agenda that wants to turn the entire country and the economy on it's head? They are risk-averse. They like things just as they are. The handful of zealots backing the Heritage Foundation are far outnumbered by more sober people who are raking in billions with the system as it is.

Another trump campaign ad before one of David's videos. I've blocked them all and reported the ads that say the subject is "books & magazines", "music", "games and puzzles" and "tax preparation"...🤔😮💨🤨
You should also report it. The reason they claim they are ads for something else is RUclips doesn’t allow political advertising.
@@Kenzalina_ I've reported every ad that says a subject that's not political campaign ads, which are almost all, if not all the trump ads. I said that in the comment and started some of the stated subjects. They're really obnoxious in subjects.
How do you report or block ads?
@@SandraBonney right under the top portion of the screen where the video shows, there's the name of the sponsor and on the right hand side there's three dots in a vertical line. If you click on those there's a menu that pops up asking if you want to block the ad. If you click on that it takes you to a page where you can see who is paying for the ad, what the subject is and also report the ad for breaking you tube terms of service. So you'll click on "block ad" and also be able to check what the subject is and if it's labeled as anything other than political, you can click another link to report it.
That'll take you to yet another link where you click the scam or phishing link and scroll down to leave a comment for Google. I always write in what the purported subject was and that it's a scam because it has nothing to do with said subject and is a blatant campaign ad and always add in the end, "DO BETTER GOOGLE!!" 😅✌️

From what I've seen and heard. If Trump falls, they'll just find another to put the project behind. So it's more of a waiting game than it is a short term project. The Heritage Foundation along with other right wing establishments have been known for using the system and picking candidates for their ambitious goals.
I think they might change if they lose often enough. The GOP needs to win elections once in a while to survive.
Think about your sports team: if they lose 40 games in a row, they are going to experiment with new alignments and new game plans.
So... Make them lose the presidency, the state election, the local elections, the mid terms.
I also think that realistically, it will happen because they won't exactly lose often enough in the next few cycles. But you can hurt them, slowly...

And for those same people with short memories, I graduated high school in 1974 in the city of Pittsburgh when the steel mills were closing and jobs were hard, if not impossible to find. I finally got my foot in the door of a Fortune 500 company. For the first 8 years I worked full time there and kept a part time job too and still didn’t have enough money to have both a car and an apartment. Then I decided to get my bachelor degree by going to night school while working full time. I didn’t start making decent money until I obtained my degree and worked my way up through the company. I lived through yearly layoffs, fuel shortages that led to mile long high priced gas lines.
I cringe when I hear people whining about inflation now. You have no idea how good you have it. I couldn’t afford to buy a house until I married and we combined incomes. We were in our mid thirties. Why do people think they are entitled to high wages, cheap gas, food and housing? Wake up and start working for it. And don’t complain about not having a pension. I have 2 small pensions that no one could live on, because they were frozen back when I made no money. I was able to retire by contributing to a 401(k) plan. Just like everyone has to do now.
There is nothing new under the sun. Everyone lives through hard times. Those who suck it up and move forward are the ones who succeed. Sitting around and bitching about gets you nowhere. Yes I am a liberal boomer who has empathy but many Americans have become too soft on hard work and too hard on people that they look down on. Worry about your own shit and don’t worry about what others are doing or getting. Stop the hatred, it is not Christ like or productive. Quit moaning about prices, these things come and go and have nothing to do with the President-even though the most people fare better during Democratic presidencies. The stock market just hit an all time high, and people are still whining about grocery prices. Go get a second job if you can’t feed your family. Tired of people thinking this economy is the worst ever and that blaming someone will change it. Short memories or too young to remember. Be grateful for President Biden. He turned the mess Trump left behind into a great comeback. If you need to assign blame, blame Trump’s billionaire friends for the high prices caused by their corporate greed. A move to electric vehicles will lower the demand for petroleum. This will reduce gas prices.
The problem is, the EV batteries need to be replaced every four or five years and they are super expensive. Any savings from not buying gas is more than offset by having to buy a $10-$20,000 battery.

Gas prices? Ask the oil companies and look at the insane profits they enjoy year to year. No interest in the general public, but to reward their investors.
Price gouging reigns, due to the number of monopolies controlling great number of companies they control. For example, there are four companies which control 80% of the meat market. There's a single company which has 100% of the eyeglass market, no matter which brand one might buy. It's no wonder prices are out of control. What needs to happen, besides Amazon and Apple, is to break up all of the monopolies.

I would say yes, the Project 2025 and similar programs would reform and keep trying because they have been trying to shift into very similar projects since the 90s. As long as there are uneducated or more controlling people, there will be attempts for a more fascist dictatorship in whatever country allows for it.
No matter who is in the White House there will be inflation. No matter who is in office, unless there are more regulations added to control profit margins in relation to paying employees and/or tax brakes and write offs for those employee wages, there will always be needless rises in prices. It's more a matter of using it as a campaign talking point for the GOP when they are not in office than anything really changing.

If djt loses in 2024, assuming he doesn't get in the white house anyway, it'll be a lot harder for them to find another superstar celebrity to take his place. He's a perfect storm of game show host, pro wrestler, jerk, and conman. They'll try to prop up another one, but it'll take time. If we work hard and smart, we may be able to hold onto democracy for a while. Maybe even undo some damage, making it harder for another autocrat.

That might have been a good time for either David or the caller to bring up recent 3 May 2024 Matt Stoller reporting on the FTC investigation into possible oil price collusion between Texas-based oil companies and OPEC.
