    Isnt there a mistake in the example at 5:22? Cant Mini view all records when she has CR access?

    • @NUBIANFIRE
      @NUBIANFIRE Год назад +3

      In the example with CR that she is explaining at this point is With OWD. So you have to ignore the R that you see on the screen. She kind of skipped explaining the CR example with Permissions. That is why it threw you off a little. I had to watch it again too for the same reason.😁 But listen to the whole example again to catch it.

      @@NUBIANFIRE wouldn't the user still be able to view the records since the org wide default is Public read, even if the user permissions are only "create" since you can't get more restrictive than org wide defaults?

    Why do we need background music here!! It is annoying due to the volume level!!

    5:48 "she has edit and delete permission on ALL contacts". Ok for edit on contacts she doesn't own, because owds are set to Public Read and Write, but not ok for delete on contacts she doesn't own. Or am I mistaken here?

    • @CL-vf4iz
      @CL-vf4iz 8 месяцев назад +1

      She is only able to Delete Contacts she doesn't own if the Contact's record owner is below her in the Role Hierarchy or if she were to have the "Modify All" permission.

    2:10 "Public read-only means users can view and edit all the records of an object, but they can't edit them or transfer ownership". So which is it? Edit or no edit?

      @@SalesforceSupport Sorry, there is different info in the Trailhead: "Public Read-Only means that all users can view and report on records but not edit them. Only the owner and users above that role in the hierarchy can edit those records."

      She said something wrong. The correct statement is: "Public read-only means users can view all the records of an object, but they can't edit them or transfer ownership." This is only valid for records of which they are not the owner.
