they are less dangerous than forcing people to slide ( yes I know there is no rule you must slide but for all intents and purposes that is the rule) I have seen more people seriously hurt sliding than I have seen injuries from collisions.
+Chris Beatty nearly physically impossible. Unless you play each sport 4-6 years only other than that you'll be too old to play another sport professionally
It has probably already been said but 3:45 that is Buck Martinez, Blue Jays catcher at the time...the original collision broke his leg so bad he was unable to play at the same level ever again. And he STILL made a throw to third to try to get the out, and he STILL caught the ball and applied the tag to GET the out even though his leg was a mess and in incredible pain. He now is the main TV announcer for the Jays :) Thats how you lay it all on the line for your team, and thats at least a decent way to repay a man who did that for your team.
+gdoggcasey It didnt look that bad but I was actually more annoyed at why the hell would they take a shot of a couple guys in the crowd during mid-play... or it perhaps wasn't live footage?
I like how David Ross gave props to Avila with that little pat on the ass there. As a catcher himself, he probably knew how hard it was to stand in there and get hammered like that
No as a phillies fan (2008-present) utley is old and the slide into second wasn't on purpose he wasn't trying to hurt the guy he's apologized I'm not trying to be a butt hurt person but god damn it people just drop it it's not like he killed someone or ended their career... Okay my rant is over but seriously what about the whole buster posey play huh? 😂😂😂 anywho he'll retire after this year
+Brandon Bennett That was a deliberate and illegal slide into Miguel Tejada, everyone knew it. He was way off the baseline and ran right into him, he may have not been trying to hurt him, but it was still an illegal and uncalled for play.
+Brandon Bennett +Brandon Bennett by that logic, youre saying anyone over the age of 37 has the right to barrel into a catcher. also, 2008-present is extremely bandwagon, and the Buster Posey play is nothing to make fun of.
+Nick Collins eh gonna have to disagree with you there. there ain't a thing wussy about, in fact it's pretty smart. the catcher position itself isn't really a hotbed of talent, but I like what they're trying to do in terms of longevity. look at what happened to yadi a few years back before they put in the rule. that dude would probably be coming up on his last years if he kept blocking the plate, and he's one of (if not) the best catcher's in the game.yeah, I get ya, it's fun to watch, but the boys getting smacked into at the plate might beg to differ.
People won't understand that if they've never played the position. When you're the catcher you get that you're playing the hardest position on the field. We look forward to getting trucked like this.
WetNikeSocks stfu posey didn't even have the ball he wasn't in position to even make the play either and he still tries to do it knowing he'll get hurt ya no I'm with the other guy
The first clip really surprised me. "Why is his own team mate attacking him after he keeled over?" Turns out it was just one of those manly horisontal hugs that he was giving him.
I always loved that first clip of pudge. I am a huge rangers fan and pudge fan. I was so happy to see him win a world series after the rangers let him go. serves them right.
hey man! enjoy your work. a video suggestion for you is Umpires getting hit/injured with bats and balls. there are a bunch of clips out there and i think all thirty clubs's fans could enjoy seeing the boy in blue getting smacked around a little ;)
When I was 16 I played for a 18u travel team. My 5'7" 205lb self laid out a 5'10" 18 year old kid.....I was the catcher. Boy did freshman football teach me something.
It's great that the rules were changed for safety. Many of those collisions could've been avoided. Especially the Posey hit. If the runner would've slid, he still would've been safe.
The worst collision I ever saw was Adam Dunn (6' 6", 280 lbs) knocking Wiki Gonzalez (5' 11", 175 lbs) into next week. I don't remember exactly when it was but it would have had some time from 2001 to 2003 since those were the only years both were active in the NL. If you can find that one, it is worth a video all by itself.
Unfortunately, we'll never get to see some of this home plate action again because of Buster Posey's injury. Same thing for Double play breakups and Ruben Tejada's injury.
I miss home plate collisions. I know these are dangerous but they're awesome to watch
they are less dangerous than forcing people to slide ( yes I know there is no rule you must slide but for all intents and purposes that is the rule) I have seen more people seriously hurt sliding than I have seen injuries from collisions.
2:27 now that's a real baseball fight
One of my personal favorites
+JRB_03 he may not have been a great catcher but I loved Barret.
+Alexander Adams pierzynski is an asshole. He deserved it
Ahhh the good old days when you could plow the catcher
So true man
I blame it on that Parker Posey collision. And that little Sally didn't even make the play.
i was gonna make a gay joke here. butt fuck it
+Ronnie webb II L
+Ronnie webb II ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It's weird to hear Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson in the same play in baseball
I wish we had more dual sport athletes today
Bo Jackson jumped so far, just insane.
+Chris Beatty nearly physically impossible. Unless you play each sport 4-6 years only other than that you'll be too old to play another sport professionally
DJ Highlights bo was a once in a lifetime athlete
That pierzynski-Barrett one is a classic!

yep. unfortunately he wasn't the same after this but it shows the way he played the game
+gdoggcasey It didnt look that bad but I was actually more annoyed at why the hell would they take a shot of a couple guys in the crowd during mid-play... or it perhaps wasn't live footage?
"It gets by Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders is heading home!" Yo when did they add bases to football?
Really, he used to play baseball
+Chewy54 _ you really think he is serious
We knew it wasn’t football, Sanders actually hit the catcher. Unlike when he played football ! Lol
I like how David Ross gave props to Avila with that little pat on the ass there. As a catcher himself, he probably knew how hard it was to stand in there and get hammered like that
Man utleys always hurting people 😂
I know he's a menace
+Kenneth Sukhram he also doesn't know how to slide
No as a phillies fan (2008-present) utley is old and the slide into second wasn't on purpose he wasn't trying to hurt the guy he's apologized I'm not trying to be a butt hurt person but god damn it people just drop it it's not like he killed someone or ended their career... +turtle soldier10 Fake to third, throw to first pick-off moves since its banned too.
love your channel. could you make a home plate collisions pt 2?
Notice how out of all these clips, only one catcher flipped out and got butthurt over something that's just part of the game. Great vid btw.
You only have 45k because only the cool kids watch these
Damn right
I'm not cool
+Ethan Brodehl damn straight
I'm awesomely cool
+Ethan Brodehl Who are you calling a kid, kid?
As a catcher I love watching these seeing how I can improve in situations like this
Suscribed yesterday, great channel
Hey can you please make a part two? Love the vids keep it up.
How the game should be played, if you get hurt that sucks but its the cost of playing the game.
Exactly
yup!
Amen! Part of the game, but not today in this new world of wussy's they are raising.

This is an awesome channel. Great work
thanks for the up load.
i wish there were still collisions at the plate. thanks buster posey.
WetNikeSocks stfu posey didn't even have the ball he wasn't in position to even make the play either and he still tries to do it knowing he'll get hurt ya no I'm with the other guy
It’s not like posey made the rule
Cash Gully ya but he’s the one who got the rule put into action being mlb’s next future star
Keg boss yea i guess your right
MATHENY IS! Thank you! Good job compiling these videos!
Another great video!
The first clip really surprised me. "Why is his own team mate attacking him after he keeled over?" Turns out it was just one of those manly horisontal hugs that he was giving him.

Thanks!
I always loved that first clip of pudge. I am a huge rangers fan and pudge fan. I was so happy to see him win a world series after the rangers let him go. serves them right.
The Brayan Pena and Buster Posey collisions were absolutely brutal! Poor guys. They all were hurtful but especially Pena's and Posey's.
Last nights collision between rupp and Swarez was pretty good too.
Hey bronxbomber ur amazing ur videos r amazing
Right before the World Series starts. Perfect timing!
Man, Utley loves going for people knees on "slides!"

M8
Great videos man! You should try doing other things than compilations, or maybe different sports, just sayin, it would get you more views and subs
Nice Pete Rose's collision video !
AWESOME VID
when I used catch it was like a dream if a play would come to the plate
I love how on the second one the runner just pats the catcher like "ya did good, kid"
+Canuckdude22 yeah, part of it is that Ross is a catcher too, so he knows the feeling. It's a pretty cool scene
Bruh!! The dude tagged two dudes out 😂. Then went on a stretcher 😂😂
You just earned a sub mate
Ben Revere showing all the arm strength he can muster on that throw from behind second base.
Do u think u can do worst baseball injuries or have u already done them
hey man! enjoy your work. a video suggestion for you is Umpires getting hit/injured with bats and balls. there are a bunch of clips out there and i think all thirty clubs's fans could enjoy seeing the boy in blue getting smacked around a little ;)
man i miss this part about baseball
2:47 the play that started to kill the game of baseball slowwllyyy...
would love to see a video of players first home runs.
Anthony Rizzo is a beast, injured padres catcher out for year!!!
Remember when baseball was tough with breaking up the double plays and home plate collisions?
do blooper home runs if u know what I mean or sailing homeruns like those ones that just keep going
BronxBomber42 How do you do it?! You know the true definition of entertainment!!
😅thank you!
+BronxBomber42 Yeah I agree with him 100%
+BronxBomber42 A bronx a future video suggestion. Pinch hit Home runs.
can we talk about how awesome it is to see deion sanders and bo jackson on a baseball field together😂
Can u do hidden ball trick? and i love your videos
Posey looked like a hermit crab after that hit
3:32 is the best pitcher back up ever lol
The good ol' days
Man, running into some of these catchers would be like running into a brick wall!
Mike Matheny was such a bad ass.
Hey BronxBomber you should do walk off grand slams!
Can you make a video on fan catches
You should do a video on fast reflexes
When I was 16 I played for a 18u travel team. My 5'7" 205lb self laid out a 5'10" 18 year old kid.....I was the catcher. Boy did freshman football teach me something.
How do you make your intro? By the way, I absolutely love your channel.
+yankees fan Thanks man, and Photoshop CS6.
+BronxBomber42 Thank you bro
i like how he just grabs on to him turns around and clocks him at 2:20
Can u do longest postseason drouts or World Series drouts
It's crazy that they only recently but a ban on barreling into catchers. It caused so many injuries.
I got in trouble in t-ball for trucking a catcher
+Yaboi Indica LMAO
So did I 😂😂😂
I was looking forward to seeing the Dempsey Bo Jackson one
Do MLB juggling catches, i think that would be good😃
Oh how I miss the home plate collision
Can you do a top 10 balks video?
LOL Buck Martinez getting hit twice on the same play and got them both 😂
It's great that the rules were changed for safety. Many of those collisions could've been avoided. Especially the Posey hit. If the runner would've slid, he still would've been safe.
Next vid: MLB: Dirty slides, MLB: Perfect bunts, MLB: Suicide squeezes
Deion Sanders player baseball too? dang
Damn Deion sanders and no Jackson in the same play...brings back good ass memories.
You're amazing XD
I know your a fan of DodgerFilms because of past videos, so you should make a video of DodgerFilms best highlights! #SaveDodgerFilms
2:10 we should see more now that Murton is back to making those throws in Chicago.
liked it I liked it make another one
Great video, but what about Texieria's massive destruction of the Phillie's catcher in the 2009 World Series?
,yes that should be awesome
The worst collision I ever saw was Adam Dunn (6' 6", 280 lbs) knocking Wiki Gonzalez (5' 11", 175 lbs) into next week. If you can find that one, it is worth a video all by itself.
You should do a leaving early on the tag up video.
#MakeBaseballFunAgain
Out of the park homeruns
just homeruns than.
can you do a vin scully one?
Make a video of trick plays or insane celebrations
Unfortunately, we'll never get to see some of this home plate action again because of Buster Posey's injury. Same thing for Double play breakups and Ruben Tejada's injury.
Ya that would be cool
God i wish there was a video somewhere of when Ty Cobb dropkicked a catcher
2:45 this is what I think of when I hear home plate collisions
Yes
Man.. precisely why they have those rules to protect catchers. Been some brutal injuries... :(
i noticed some of these guys didnt even go for the plate, they went out of their way to hit the catcher even though the plate was open for a slide
One with Pete rose classic💪🏽
