Clean gtp man looks great
I recommend the strut tower braces. I installed both on my 2002 GTP; now the body is quiet and the handling is noticeably better. Also, synthetic power steering fluid greatly improves the steering feel.

What this guy said. Me personally I couldn't feel a difference but I did notice my dash doesn't creek anymore after the braces. Just grab some factory ones from an Impala or regal. Kinda a waste to buy the zzp ones that are 4 times the price.
@@carnage50x I didn't buy from ZZP. And the rear brace has more effect than the front.
@@stephendavidbailey2743 you can fit the factory brace into the rear btw. Quite easy infact. I drive my gtp like a grandpa so I can't really give a good opinion on chassis rigidity. Only time I actually push the car is at the drag strip or if I'm logging.
@@SalemDoyle how do removing the upper part of the rear seat on that model car? I have the four lower nuts removed but something is holding it in on the top, dont c any clips.
Car is looking good. Nicely modified. I know what you mean about the seats. The driver side on my 99 has a tear after daily driving it for 22 years. By the way I came across a set of GXP calipers and swapped them over to my 99 GP and it a big difference.

Nice car. I had an 01 over 200xxx miles and it still ran good. I just had a problem with the headlights (they would shutoff randomly).
hey I've also been thinking about putting racing seats in my 02 regal actually, haven't had a chance to sit down and find out what fits, might have to fab up some custom seat rails or something.

Hey man! Love the videos. Just bought a commuter car 2002 Grand Prix GTP 209,000 miles one owner (our senior admin) replaced spark plugs, wires, headlights, brakes, tires, fuel filter, O2 sensors, and now fuel pump (car died going up hill). Can you give me any ideas how to keep this beauty running? This was my dream car at 16 but wasn’t affordable at the time. She’s faded, fog lights and sunroof do not work, but I’m so happy when I drive her
Any check engine light on or codes?
@@SalemDoyle not no more lol. The light came on 2 days ago when it died going up the hill. Mechanic drove it as well and it died in him too going up the hill Amd he immediately said fuel pump
I wish the fog lights and sun roof worked lol. Do you know anything why those may not be working ? Any advice from you would be greatly appreciated

Yo Salem was gonna ask if you knew where the abs control module is on the regals still got this code after I already changed all my hubs.
Make sure you check wiring too. Thats a common issue. Module is under the hood with the master cylinder

Great build man, I just bought a 2000 GTP with 161k on it from Fargo ND. The issues being the rockers are damn near gone and sometimes (not all the time) the trans lags and slams into 1st and 2nd. Those are the two big ones. Any ideas? It's my project car so I'm fine with lots of work.
The transition is probably just an indication that the transmission is gonna need to be replaced eventually
@@SalemDoyle Yeah likely. I'm debating on trying somethings like solenoids and/or shift kit or just riding it out till I have to choice but to rebuild.
Rockers are about half way gone on my '02 GTP aswell. Thats just the way these cars are whenever you're In a state where cars rust. They were poorly designed from the factory. Rusted rockers won't really hurt anything but you could get them replaced by a body shop if you really wanted to. What I would check on though is the rear trailing arm mounts as well as your rear strut towers, another very common rust spot Because if those are starting to rot out then the car is pretty much junk unless you're willing to pay or go through the labor of cutting up the unibody to weld in new frame peices there. I would definitely make sure before going through and fixing the transmission.
@@Pierson116 The rear strut towers are just beginning to rust. It's not bad yet but it's starting to. I might be able to stop it if I get it quickly.

I have a personal question I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix in my passenger side tail light doesn’t sometimes like to work only when it’s cold it will have its running light on but it won’t engage the brake light or the turn signal when it’s cold what does that mean
Possibly as easy as bad bulbs or maybe a wiring issue

I AM in Puebla México and here unforTunately here all it's very spensive i have a Grand prix 1999 but smokes alot and i am trying to Buy another engine and the guys sale,'s me one from 1997 but i know it's not the same andi don't know if i can use the underside of the engine since the súper Charger auto hoses came diferent on that year .... Can i use the engine and Transfer My los súper Charger to the new Arrival engine?????

What kinda modifications will I have to make to get that belt slip kit?
I installed it when installing the intercooler because it is kind of necessary at that point, but other than that it should install pretty easily without anything else

You are getting 225hp??? Isn't factory GTP advertising 240hp??
240 at the crank, not the wheels. I got 225 when i was stock plus headers. And of course 230k miles

I think 200 to 230 is the normal range.
@@mtvjackass74 most stock gtp's do around 200 whp. Give or take. Not every engine is the same, not every Dyno is the same, and environment is never the same.

I did replace that seems a bit smoother but the code came back 😑 idk maby a exposed wire in the harness. When it's warmed up it has a chatter . It's a 700 craigslists car 😆

Time 2 scarp thoughts of Gtp, no more aftermarket support, no more property fitting parts, gonna have 2 let grandprix go 2 scrap, and youll end doin the same at some point, if u want an interesting car like this then u can only go w wthat there's support 4, hellcat, mustang, or anything foriegn, just not those alkieda cars ( kiya, yndai )

I'm just installed on my Pontiac Bonneville 97 supercharged a 3.5 pulley on a supercharger and also a zzp cam the chamis nothing agrestes Bob also I have scooter in take en also I have ultra Flow exhaust do I need to reflash the ECU can you help me out how to do it?
