Dogs in the wild eat guts 1st then tear the meat off bones and try and get the marrow out. They like to work for their food, hence all those teeth. The length of time their saliva is stimulated, the better for their digestion. Dogs even live longer if given a mixture of 8 inch sections of tripe and beef knuckle and rib bones. Sheep tripe works well too but it is slightly fattier. Of course a dog will gobble mince but that also means it did not have to work for it.
She made the green tripe prep look so easy. So are the fats (if any) on green tripe chunk good for dogs to eat as well? Would love to just grind it up instead of another chore cleaning & cutting the fat off. smh lol
This is a old video I know but hoping you see this question, when you say you grind it all up do you only grind the tripe or the tripe and the stomach?
Would some green tripe require cleaning any fat before grinding it up?....as like with chicken muscle meat? Buying it whole chunks OR already grounded up is what I'm contemplating.
Cyndiann Phillips well look up some videos of a whole raw stomach its messy business. I agree with you but if you dont have a German Shepard or Rottweiler with strong teeth or jaws, our smaller medium or toy breeds can choke. Besides unless a dog has a good clean place outside he will drag that stomach through grass and mud possibly exposing him or her to harmful bacteria. If you dont mind me asking what kind of dog do you have? I have an Australian cattle dog. Hes definitely Shepard like but definitely geared towards tearing that meat apart oh yeah i seen them do it but hes also border collie mix and a little smaller than a pure heeler.
is that grain feed? cows stomach? a cow gets mad cow if they ate other cows. hard to get it unless you eat the brain or spine. and each cow after that is doing the same
Yes, you can slaughter a cow over 30 months. However, the whole spinal cord must be removed intact. Also, the brain, tonsils and the trigeminal ganglia have to be removed.
I would question your 30 month comment. No brain or spinal cord can be sent to render. I'd like to see the law where no cow over 30 months can be slaughtered. Where do you think old dairy cows go ? Thanks
anyone have any info on mypetcanivore.com they have great prices and variety but im not too sure on safety and quality. Holy crap even though its not cow shit it has that pre cow shit smell but dogs love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey there! Have you tried the Samsa Dog Chef Genie (search on google)? I have heard some super things about it and my mate also got excellent results with it. Their Dog loved the change in diet :)

I really appreciate this. Now I know what I’m asking for looks like.
100% true. My three dogs will pick past the chicken, beef, pork, moose, etc just to eat the green tripe first. Stuff smells horrible though.
Ok. I'm weird. I don't think it smells nasty. Smells like a farm.

Which stomach is that?
Cows have several stomachs though.

The fourth stomach
Ground not grinded
