The "Missing" Chapters(8 of them), on his Ren Makes Stuff youtube channel, are really amazing to listen to, hear, and understand. Truly brings context and clarity to this track.
Absolutely worth listening. Even if you thought you understood Ren's songs beforehand, you understand them even better afterwards and they become even more intense. Very personal and emotional videos.
Thank you for checking this out. REN’s 8 chapters had me crying every day. My heart broke for his pain and suffering and my heart breaks for all the people still suffering. ❤💔❤️
Ye I've been watching them, heartbreaking with everything he has gone through and I appreciate him so much more. The courage, the strength to keep going at his darkest times. He is one talented guy and as a fellow welshman I'm glad he's doing well and getting the recognition he deserves. I loved your "Hi Ren" reaction especially when he stood up from the wheelchair, your vocal reaction and instant tears gave me chills and made me a bit teary. Great stuff.
Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy for sure. The biggest point that Ren I believe is trying to promote is there is always hope, don't give up. While at the same time bringing awareness to these overlooked medical conditions.
Thank you for doing that breakdown at the beginning of this video it’s so powerful I wish that lady was still here and able to hear what ren has done with her song keeping her story alive and paying it the respect it deserves ❤️
This song has had me in tears all day, it hit so close to home because I've spent the last 3 years dealing with all kinds of symptoms, being barely functional, going from doctor to doctor and never getting answers. I finally got so frustrated with all of it, I sat down and poured over everything I've been told, every symptom, every possible issue. I made a list of everything it could be, went to the specialists I needed to, asked for specific tests and by process of elimination I figured out my own damn diagnosis. It's been a long and frustrating 4 years. It's wonderful that Ren used the phrase, "God I forgive you", it really shows where he's at in his healing process. I could not be more happy for him, and he's given me hope that I can get there too.
I’m glad you got yourself diagnosed. I’m 15 years now and now diagnosis. Been to so many doctors, sent to shrinks, had so many operations and still no definitive answer. I’m with pain management for the last 5 and the injections and medications at least allow me to get out of bed.
You know to me the chapters tell me his story and to me this is like an infomercial for hope.... Ren is really a miracle and a testament to never giving up.
I was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson's at age 37. I am now 60 and the disability benefits thing hits me hard. I can't count the number of people who have told me how lucky I am to get SSDI. I would gladly give anything to have my health
With great power comes great responsibility, and Ren is truly a hero! He is using his growing powers and platform for so much more than simply creating brilliant music. Ren has said that he always had this feeling that he was meant to change the world for the better. So much that he defiantly yelled a challenge to evil into an empty room. And then he got sick… Ren has now shared the full story of his health journey in 8 video chapters leading up to the release of this song and what a journey it has been. If anyone hasn’t already watched them, I highly recommend you do. And I would watch you react to them too. I think each reaction helps him in his goal to spread awareness. But whether you end up reacting or not, definitely watch them. With all the chapters Ren is showing immense strength in sharing his story that is so hard to tell, being vulnerable and telling it because he hopes it will help others and raise awareness. And here he is with another rendition of that story, now told through music with a fire beat and delivering a message of hope. A beautiful hero that the world needs ❤️🐰🕳️
The edit you added at the end is important, 'Everything I've been through, is yours to hold.' I didn't catch it until you said it, but it does very much sound like an acceptance and surrender to life/God. A sign of hard-earned growth and wisdom.
Thanks Rosalie! I think Ren is doing more for mental health for the masses than health care has accomplished. Or at least he his making the issues more mainstream and understood. Thanks for your insights, and also reminding me of why I knew this basic tune/melody from the past history....I couldn't place it, and had not googled it. But you did it for me!
Ren seems to bring out the best in you. You’re so smart, articulate, passionate, and insightful and all those attributes really come out when you’re analyzing Ren’s music. Great reaction and a therapy session for all of us watching. Keep up the great work. 😊
I have been in that place of anger towards God after my son’s death. I really felt that “Lord I forgive you”. Was waiting for your reaction. Thanks for an amazing one ❤
Ren was brought up in the mindset of a hippy. And he has a similar trait to this day. No, not spliff up, drop out and fight 'the man', but care for your brothers and sisters, both known and unknown.. put more in than you take out, the Santa Claus of love and caring. His toolset is music, and his ammunition is physical and mental troubles mixed with love and sharing
You are incredible with your seemingly endless well of empathy and your ability to revisit thoughts and ideas that you previously had and rethink them. That is something that is sorely needed these days. So many times people have an idea and then just dig their heels and will not change or rethink their feelings. Just like Ren, you are helping more people than you will probably ever realize. Thank you for everything you do.
One amazing side effect of Ren (not that being blessed with his amazing music isn't enough) is that people are suddenly talking about chronic illness. It feels like people are having their eyes opened to what absolute crap it is living with pain every day, and as someone who has very often felt like people really don't understand how hard it is sometimes, it's so validating to have this amazing chap just verbalise it so accurately that people now have more of an idea. I mean, 'ejected from the cockpit of living' and the idea of the person you were 'going missing' is just... *Chefs kiss*. I really hope Ren has every success and a long career because he bloody deserves it.
I mostly made it through , Until you said "Hold on sweet friend and look for the light " then I lost it . Thank you Ren for so often being the light . Thank you Rosalie ,, for reminding me of it ❤
Took him 7 years to get a diagnosis so it actually much more bleak than even you described. Seven years just to get to the part where you started. He’s literally been to Hell and back and as a teen and early 20s the anguish it caused was like getting ejected from the cockpit of life! Damn. And the fact that she told his mom, if there was no answer at the end of year two he’s sorry, but he would not be around any longer! And the only thing that kept him from taking his own life was the fact that his best friend jumped off a bridge, and he saw the damage that caused his family and he could not put his mother through the same so he decided he will just wait for the disease to take his life but there was solace, and knowing that it would most likely be relatively soon. But it wasn’t, it was so far far away! Ren we’re all proud of you For surviving the shark pit until God finally answered your call. I can’t think of a better person to champion the cause. 💜
The honesty, courage and vulnerability Ren shows in this song is so admirable! The message of hope at the end is inspiring and we all need to hear it! Ren is such a brilliant artist, the way he produced this, the amazing sample, the impact of his story of illness! Hugs to you Benny! ❤❤❤
Your singing is beautiful, as is your heart! ❤ The breakdown on this song and insight on pain both mentally and physically is increadably accurate. With your knowledge you are another voice helping others understand the complexities of these long-term illnesses, thank you Rosalie. Love, light and healing to all those who have fallen through the cracks.❤🙏❤ #millionsmissing Hope is being able to see there is light, despite all of the darkness - Desmond Tutu
Thank you Rosalie for highlighting this issue and what we as lyme and autoimmune warriors suffer thru yr after year day after day . I’ve been battling lyme and autoimmunity for 30 yrs and it’s even a miracle I’ve lived this long but w God’s help and my will to survive by the Grace of God do I continue to hang onto hope of a cure. Each reactor brings a light to our plight. Someday I pray to tell my full story in a way to bring hope to others. I try to document my struggles on soc media when I have strength to do so. God bless Ren and all who suffer 😢from Lisa a lyme and autoimmunity sufferer who is bedridden most all the time now. It is a prison. Ty ty ty for doing this
Ren is beyond description! He has absolutely inspired me to reclaim my life and shake this fog of depression I have been blanketed in for so long now❤❤❤
Loved this reaction Rosalie, I watched and listened to Ren's latest the moment that it dropped and I knew this one would have you emotional. I remember commenting on your video where you were interviewing Ren that it seemed like two friends catching up not an interview. I was certain that this would have you reaching for the tissues and I think it nearly did.
My 34 yer old daughter has Fibromyalgia. She had been trying to find an answer for the last 8 years. She finally got that diagnosis about 2 years ago. So, she went 6 years of trying to explain to 3 different doctors what she was feeling and going through. She is so sick of being in pain. I too have chronic pain, but mine is because of many back issues, not an autoimmune disease. Ren is such a special human being.
Best reaction! You took so much time on this. Love the beginning with first your beautiful voice, then the call and response and the original. Set the mood to listening to Ren rap about his struggles so hard. His selfless sharing is and will help countless people to find compassion, understanding and not feel so damn alone when suffering an invisible illness. Rosalie, I remember you said you had a postpartum mood disorder. You came through the dark night and are a shining light. I had postpartum derealization and no answers at the time. Even my midwives had no clue (also love Call the Midwife series). I eventually found relief. That daughter is now 21. And I have been able to empathize and help others with postpartum derealization to find the light. I believe there is a reason for suffering even if our little minds can’t comprehend what that reason is. Bless your heart beautiful lady. ❤
I love your comment and how you have found the light through your darkness and are using it to help others see a bit better too. So proud of you and honored you enjoyed my review and contribution.
For you especially, and those who haven't yet... ya Gotta watch his story... all 8 chapters! Its his Life story read by Ren, ya Gotta hear! Located in his Troubles Playlist! His lyrics are Truly His Story... clawed at the laminate... I mean Come On!!! This song is the finale of that series!
rosalie, that outtro was beautiful. id love to see your reaction to the jester harrison arrangement of hold on song by any good choir. your optimism is inspiring
Thank you Rosalie for reacting to more Ren. I am a huge fan of his and you are so good at making these videos, going into depth with history relating to his songs that I didn't know about. I absolutely love the emotion you display, the first video I saw of yours was you reacting to hi Ren, and I absolutely loved how genuine it was and it really seemed to be your first time watching or listening to it. That is something I and many others love to see, even if you don't catch everything the first time you can watch it twice in the same video. Keep doing what you're doing!
This reaction was awesome, I loved it, but also, I have never heard you sing, I love, love, LOVE your voice! Your vibrato and your runs are amazing! I don't know if you have any original content, but I'd love to hear you singing more, especially some gospel, blues or Jazz!! Thank you for spreading Ren's work and again for such emotional, motivational words. You really do inspire me
Thank you for your thoughtful and insightful reaction to Ren's Troubles. And for the opportunity to hear you sing. Keep Reacting! Nobody knows the troubles I've seen, Nobody knows my sorrow. . . . Glory Halelujah!
Phil's wife Susan here. Love what you said about finding beauty in the moments. My health has deteriorated last few years, there is a lot of loss that comes with this. Yet life is still amazing when I am fully in the present enjoying that moment.
Thank you for this reaction...I've recently become addicted to watching reactions of my favorite videos. This video is exactly what I enjoy most! True emotional reaction and knowledge...thank you!! Keep doing what you do!!
YES….with her chemistry with Ren, her unique understanding of mental health, and her own struggles along her own spiritual path…I feel like not just her voice would be a good match with his on the right song, but that what her spirit brought to the art would be equally valuable.
I’ve been suffering with fibromyalgia for nearly 20 years and just want some relief. It doesn’t have to be a cure, but just a reduction in the pain and the other symptoms. Love your channel. 🥰
Thank you for including some background information about Vera Hall. I love that Ren went out of his way to make sure to give her credit. I'd also love to see your take on Sam Tompkins - Phones in Heaven.
There's a very good documentary on RUclips called. Lyme disease and the fight for recognition. On the D C documentary channel. They talk to people who suffer from it. And how hard it is. Worth watching if anyone wants to know more about what it's like to live with. The comments are worth reading too.
Had to give you a thumbs up immediately at the beginning when you started singing! As always, a great reaction, filled with insight, empathy, and emotion.
Ren forgiving God, is his way of the method of a father being the bad guy while a child is growing up.. "wait 'til your father gets home", the person who punishes and chastises. And the day comes when the child is grown and realises that their father gave them to tools to survive the world and be a giving and loving person. That child then hugs their formerly disliked parent, hugs them and says "I forgive you father, thank you for teaching me while only raising your voice, I now know that I was troublesome and needed guidance"
I'm gonna assume you might watch Ren's series either way 🙂 whether you react to them or not is your choice(I would enjoy your thoughts)but I think anyone invested in this community should absolutely watch them, each one has a bonus of a song at the end also.Almost 50 and never experienced anything like this before, would have loved to have had this inspiration when younger,we are blessed
Yes! I am 53. I'm a Veteran of the USAF andwent through LOTS of therapy for lifelong traumas...Ren has helped more than any of the sessions I had with my doctor and those stupid pulls they had me on at that time. I have been lost in a river of depression for quite a while and that beautiful soul has given me the push to GET UP AND LIVE
Thank you for doing this!! I love the way you first started with what the original song was about. The chapters you should watch. I really think you should watch them on your own. Than decide if you really want to react on here or not. They hit like bricks on different levels. They are something that everyone should watch. I believe they will help people on a very personal level.
I really feel you on the death anxiety. I'm a mom of four...plus I'm autistic and I have ADHD, systemic lupus, and fibromyalgia. I wrestle weekly with the fear that I'll die before my kids are adults. All my health issues are part of what draws me to Ren's music. That, plus my ADHD, has made me a lifelong fan.
Just listened to the start of this and heard you sing. Good job you're not married to me... I'd make you sing to me all the time... even sing me to sleep 😊 ❤ from Northeast England ❤️
I love hearing you sing ❤ day 325 without drinking
I’m so proud of you!!! :) congratulations
@Tessimistic420 Congratz!
Agree and congratulations 🤍🤍🤍🤍
Great work! Let’s keep it goin.

Ren = (Refuse Everything Negative) 🙏
The "Missing" Chapters(8 of them), on his Ren Makes Stuff youtube channel, are really amazing to listen to, hear, and understand. Truly brings context and clarity to this track.
It's all about the context. Glad I listened to the chapters before this as well.
I loved watching Ren take back control of his narrative.

I was crying after each part😢
The biggest point is that he had NO diagnosis for the first 7 or whatever years, basically being ignored or not being believed by the Doctors
Everyone should watch and react to the Chapters. It will save lives.
The chapters put everything into perspective, not just this song, but all of his art. Well worth a watch.

What a lovely voice you have, Rosalie.
Yes!💕👍🦇
"A healthy man wants a thousand things, a sick man only wants one" - I think this quote is very applicable here. And to Ren's story in general.
Therapy at its best. You and Ren. You don’t know how much it helps. Or perhaps you do. Please continue

No, not spliff up, drop out and fight 'the man', but care for your brothers and sisters, both known and unknown.. put more in than you take out, the Santa Claus of love and caring. My favorite Ren song happens to be Hold On,another great brake down, thank you for your words of wisdom
Another great reaction, Rosalie.
"Look for the beauty in this very moment". Words to live by. ❤

Thanks for your sensitive reaction. ❤
I particularly liked the introduction to "Trouble so hard" and Vera Hall. Just great.

Uh oh :) I would be my worst critic.
Much Love ! You definitely proved yourself in the world: as a reactor, as a mother, as a beautiful supportive human being.
Welp. Dang. Proud of that talk on the way out. Amazing. Props.
I believe the Chapters 1-8 that REN put out are a must to complete his story. Recommend you watch….no official online review 💜
I feel the same. It was like the bow on top of a magnificent gift that was meant for each of us alone.

Beautiful voice in the beginning. 🥰 I would love to hear your take on REN’s chapters. ✨✨
@renmakesmusic can we get Rosalie on a track!!!!!
AMEN to that!!!! 🥰🥰
YES….with her chemistry with Ren, her unique understanding of mental health, and her own struggles along her own spiritual path…I feel like not just her voice would be a good match with his on the right song, but that what her spirit brought to the art would be equally valuable.
thank you for reacting and thus raising awareness for ME💙🎗
Enjoy your reactions so very mich. Thank you
I’ve been suffering with fibromyalgia for nearly 20 years and just want some relief. It doesn’t have to be a cure, but just a reduction in the pain and the other symptoms. Love your channel. 🥰
I’m commenting while pressing play! You’re my FAVORITE for a REN reaction can’t wait! you’re amazing let’s go!
Thank you :)
Thank you for including some background information about Vera Hall. I love that Ren went out of his way to make sure to give her credit.
I'd also love to see your take on Sam Tompkins - Phones in Heaven.
Your reactions and insights are always Top Tier. Thank you for being you!
There's a very good documentary on RUclips called.
Lyme disease and the fight for recognition. On the D C documentary channel. They talk to people who suffer from it. And how hard it is.
Worth watching if anyone wants to know more about what it's like to live with.
The comments are worth reading too.
Very good analysis and description via empathy. A different approach to other reactions I have seen. 👍
Djees Ros! That was a nice treat, starting this video and being welcomed by your beautiful singing voice!
Had to give you a thumbs up immediately at the beginning when you started singing! As always, a great reaction, filled with insight, empathy, and emotion.
Beautiful intro Rosalie.🥰🥰🥰
Gorgeous voice and as always a fantastic reaction 💗
Spot on reaction 👏👏👏👏
Ren would agree!😊
Holy crap I didn't know you could sing like that, had to pull over and take the time to say that was so beautiful.
Was für eine Frage 😂 ren geht immer 🥰
Danke für eine weitere tolle Reaktion. 🙏🏻😎😁
Damn girl your voice is awesome
Great singing, Rosalie ❤ and Ren reaction of course ❤
Love you Rosalie!! ❤🙏✨
Girl I could use some more of your soul tunes! 🙌
Lurve your singing voice! We need to hear more of that...
Love your Ren reaction as always ❤
you have an amazing voice,thankyou
I really feel you on the death anxiety. I'm a mom of four...plus I'm autistic and I have ADHD, systemic lupus, and fibromyalgia. I wrestle weekly with the fear that I'll die before my kids are adults. All my health issues are part of what draws me to Ren's music. That, plus my ADHD, has made me a lifelong fan.
Thank you! Only reactor going back to the crux in 1900s LOVE IT! 💯 🔥
Just listened to the start of this and heard you sing. Good job you're not married to me... I'd make you sing to me all the time... even sing me to sleep 😊
❤ from Northeast England ❤️

YOUR VOICE JUST MADE MY WEEK!
Thank you very much!! :)
