This is the best fair and objective story of the Tull ... it's really great, and all those people are world class. It's just great to hear the people who were there talking freely about their experiences. How about an update! Thanks! ;-)
Hello Classic Artists -- Is this the DVD called "Jethro Tull: Their Fully Authorised Story" that I've seen on the U.K. Amazon site? When the U.S. version comes out... I hope they use the same cover photo. That's a great shot of Ian from the very start of the "Warchild" tour in 1974... when Ian had a GOLD Minstrel's outfit... before he switched to the well-known multi-colored Minstrel's outfit. There are very few photos of that Gold outfit around.
Who was being interviewed there? I recognised Ian, Martin, John Evan, Barriemore Barlow, Dee Palmer and Mick Abrahams. Who else? And is that really Glen Cornick with all his hair?
Hi to all the team at Classic Artists. This may be a little late but how about doing a documentary about ELP? After seeing the GREAT job you did of the Yes documentary I thought that, since you interviewed Keith Emerson for that one you might do a documentary for ELP. Also the closest ELP have got to a biographical documentary was 2007's "Beyond The Beginning" which only covered the 1970s and was only an hour in length . Please consider this idea!
Does anyone know when this is going to be availible in the states?! I'm sure there is a handful of people out here who would like to watch it, especially before the Ian Anderson show on October 13th!
why is there no news or response on the release of this terrific dvd in the states? Why wait till 2009? Hopefully Something eventually pans out on releasing this finished product which has already been out for a couple months in the U.K. What's the hold Up?
I know I asked before, I also checked out that site, but do you know when the dtae is of this release in the US? I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this!!!!
Hi Thanks for your interest, its really good to see eager fans. We had allot of fun making this film, we hope you will enjoy watching it. Our US distributer is 'Image Entertainment', keep an eye on their website and feel free to contact them. Regards, TCAS
It will be out next spring or next janurary. I talked to three different people, they all said something different. So I guess we will just have to wait and see. : ) Underwraps2
hi all, Sorry for the lack of communication on our part. The whole team has been working flat out on our latest film 'Legends of the Canyon'. Its great that you are so keen to get your hands on a copy but unfortunately we can not confirm a date for the US yet. Regards, CAS
I just saw it advertised on cdnow. It will be released in the US on January (19th) 2010. Only ONE disc (running time: 109 min) No "Swing In" documentary I guess...
Fudgin' Christ, when is this coming out in the US? I keep checking the web every few months, and it's the same ol' story. I'm gonna buy the import (my laptop will play it fine) if it's not out here by Christmas.
I had talked to Ashley from Image entertainment, she said this DVD was due to come out MAYBE sometime by 2009. If thats not the cass, then they said just keep checking thier web site. Witch I think is hard to use. Anyway. around 2009, and keep checking tier Web site. Underwraps2
Its always sad when the bitterness starts within bands, but they should keep that crap private as the fans don't care, the albums & gigs are all that matters.
I disagree ... as much as I love JT music, if Ian Anderson was an SOB I would not buy or listen to their music. I am sick of psychopath artists that rake in money from ignorant fans.
@@justgivemethetruth Ok you disagree, that is fine by me. But by disagreeing with my point you are saying the bitterness within bands SHOULD be made public? I'm not sure what relevance my point has with either Ian being a SOB or psychopath musicians or ignorant fans... Did you reply to the wrong comment?
@@raedgaj3878 > But by disagreeing with my point you are saying the bitterness within bands SHOULD be made public? This was on free TV (Sky Arts - Classic Artists Series) so watched it. I wasn't hooked particularly (I remember Tull, I taught myself how to play the "Living in the Past" flute sequence, before taking up other instruments.Older people had bought Aqualung) EXCEPT...as it went on, it was like listening to a bunch of Home Counties Accountants... or a group of guys that had set up a Software firm and had a fall out over new programs. Christ Almighty: the small-minded management speak, the tiresome and narrow little Middle Class values. The self-delusion (Tull did festivals; had one big Hit. It was ike listening to some lightweight Tories that are pissed about parking in the village High St. At the end, I realised that 90% of their output was dated piffle and I should have known better. But, we're all allowed to ruminate over our own piffle, I suppose - but not masturbate over it. Unfortunately, programs like this drag some old "heroes" out into the light of the modern era and virtually every one of them turn out to be closet NIMBIES and resentful, comfortable, old fogies that you really don't want to spend time with.

This is a DVD I definitely want. Anything to hear John Evans, Barrie, etc. talk about their time with the band.
Bought this DVD last week. It's a brilliant watch and very detailed. Put aside a whole evening and watch the full 3 and a bit hours. Great work
Paul Thompson can you tell me the complete title of it? Thx

GREAT BAND.

With the bandana?...I think that is Glen.
Where is the rest of this program??

I love the clips of live Tull and vintage interviews, but it's often impossible to discern who is doing the talking... and about what!
It will be out next spring or next janurary. I talked to three different people, they all said something different. So I guess we will just have to wait and see. : )

Yes, i think it is the same DVD, but do you know when this dvd in the Netherlands come out?

When you write
"TRACK LISTING
A New Day Yesterday
Minstrel in Gallery
Dharma for One
ect.
Dose this mean these tracks on the dvd are videos?
At 1:05, what is that song called? Anybody?
Fylingdale Flyer
name of last 2 songs in this video from 1:37 and from 1:57 please
It's actually just one piece, A Song For Jeffrey. Tull often have more great tunes in one song than other bands in their whole career.

:D *Gasp* I WANT THIS
Yeah, I've asked the same question like 200 times now, so I don't know. In America, I guessing in about september.
Tull rules.

Sadly I must agree with you..what a damn shame.

Glen Cornick , retirement forced by Jethro Tull.
So it would appear John Evan
