I've been racing and building cars for over 25yrs and im here to tell you if you have never driven a car with that much power you will never know how hard it is to control it and besides I've seen rhe best drivers do the same thing it happens.
That looked like a whole lotta fun! Had a few 4 speed cars with 500+ and nitrous that would get very squirrely in 1st and 2nd! You get to know your car and where it's breaking point and getting too loose. Was a tight area to be nailing it and for sure not a flat road! It's a handful for sure!
Build one go to a junkyard and find one if possible and put a 454 big block in it with steel rods cast iron heads Chevy intake manifold what ever manifold fits the 454 throw a holly four barrel carb on it good lifters aftermarket rocker arms good valve springs and tune the duration and lift on the lifters and camshaft and to how far you want the exhaust valve and intake valve to open and close and how long they are open and close and do all the other engine work on it for it to run and cherry pick it into the engine bay and boom camero with 454 plus all the body work and tranny work of course there is a lot more work easier said then done but you get what I’m saying

Had a 671 on my 69 then decided to take it off some years ago and pit it back to stock trim. Videos like this make me want to put the 671 back On! Really enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!
I was trying to look under the rear end to see any traction bars. So much power and breaking loose. Would be criminal if it wrecked. It would make me cry. 69 Camaro is my bucket list car LOL
***** No i would kill myself in a car with that much power...But if your gonna own a car like this with this amount of power know how to drive it for fuck sake
what a fucking whackoff, this isnt a video game.that's a blown big block with a spool and probably 4.56 gears, this car is meant for the strip and its got shitty dry rotted radials on it. any fucktard in these comments who got behind the wheel of this car the way its set up would've totaled it
Someone apparently welded the rear end up to make a "make shift posi-traction". You can see the left tire mark and hear it squealing as he's going into the shop. That driver needs to stay out of cars like that until he's got a helluva lot more experience. The car did exactly the same thing both times, yet still caught him off guard the 2nd time resulting in an over reaction just like the first time. It's just that he was further away from the curb the first time....so he didn't hit the curb. An experienced driver would have been ready the 2nd time.
Oh dear people, no hatin' on the driver! First of all, if you notice the unevenness of his first burnout, his rear-end isn't quite up to snuff. Also with that pesky 1st Gen Camaro unibody, twisting off the line is a common problem. I had the same issues when I raced my 500 hp '68 Camaro SS a long, long time ago in a land far away. Just need a bit of suspension adjustments &....curb feelers? Ha, sorry, couldn't resist, & he should be fine. Beautiful car & the motor sounds very healthy in this clip.
AAAAAAAARRGHH THANK YOU no LAMBO Ferrari turbo supercharged modified to the brim can not keep up with how good this look how good this sounds and how fast it goes.
Such a beutiful car that sound lush, but i think people like this person should be made to go through another test and be told how to handdle the power of the car they own, for theirs, other road users and the the cars sake.
Wow that car is just not for the streets you need to take that thing to the track when you want to play way to much power you almost lost your car dog! Your experience has nothing to do with it tho you can put the worlds best driver in that car he would do the same thing. don't know why people talk shit when they no the fastest car they been in was there mom mini van smh. That poor car better find a driver.
Kool MaDa lets see you drive a car with that much power
Good old American made when you could hear and feel the true power.

untamable beast, truly.
Please give this driver a prius or something!! The camaro is a beast!!
That's why having a rearend with a spool in it instead of a clutch type positrac is sketchy as hell on the street. Looked fun though.
