Unironcally good advice. I remember the old BT3 comp players noting that “poking” was always a good idea. And learning to mimic what the AI does in episode mode made me better. Cuz yeah, they CONSTANTLY ki poke.
You can counter a countered revenge counter with one of your own revenge counters but the timing is strict. I don’t think you can vanish it or stop it any other way. You can also vanish the knock away for the super counter.
5:48 pretty sure vanish forces the foe to lose the auto target. So at long range, you can go out of sight, vanish, and the foe is lost where u are and find you again to get the lock on.
another things counter the high-speed evasion and the super counter is to do yourself a either one (it's very useful, at least, against AI since they seems ultra long combot on higher difficulty, if you time your thing right you just to deal with one or two super counter and one or two high speed evasion.
You have to high speed evade the high speed evasion... As someone who's played the OG Tenkaichi without all of these other counters High Speed of learned is more valuable than you might think. And apparently you can Super counter someone who hits you in your back (I think it has to be before the combo starts or where there's a break in the combo itself)
I thought super counters were just perfect timed inputs as you are getting hit, meaning yeah it can work from anywhere. O.o ivedone it hit from behind before
When they do backshots, your only option is really super counter z counter. And yes, backshot combos are the, "garenteed combos" so at a high level, everyone will immediately will start their combo with backshots so they wont have to deal with other counter options. In fact, if you want to step up ur game in this, learn the rush combo route that will start ur backshots as fast as possible, because combos in the front, none of them are garenteed.

I mean so far i have only seen my opponents pull that off and it is really aggravating when you are trying to learn the same thing.
Yeah exactly. It relies on what kind of attack it receives from the opponent and how much Ki or Spark Amount you have. I did some training to figure it out. Providing you are hitting oponent from the back: Something that can work against súper counter is to mix your offense, change the order of your combos, sometimes full hold your triangle button attacks and your square smashes, sometimes let them go fast, also you can Vanish or Dash mid square strings and continue them without losing your combo, this would surely throw off your oponents timing, and finally like this video suggest, mix ki blast here and there. Sure, your oponent will still land some súper counters here and there, but they will definitely land less of them if you mix your offense up. After all this being said, I still gotta say súper counter is busted af, just wait till people get good at it, manches will last forever, stall/turtle meta will get even stronger 💀...

Super perception beats blast supers, fyi. It swats them. Also, you should clarify that, while perception can't counter a vanishing attack, there are absolutely other ways to counter it. Vanishing attacks can be vanished for a small amount of ki. ALSO, I'm pretty sure you can super counter a super counter.
@@Zenbon111 you 100% can super counter a super counter, just confirmed it myself. I also never said it was smart to always swat the blasts (though I strongly disagree with your statement that it's unequivocally a waste). I only said it could be done because the video seemed to claim that a blast always beats perception, which is false. Anyone trying to get through perception that way is going to waste multiple bars of ki. If that ends with them at no ki, it can actually be very worth it to spend the skill to swat, especially if it doesn't use all your points, as now they can't vanish as much as you OR hit you with blasts.
Terrible tracking so no matter what evasion, dodge, teleport that happens the enemy gets your back. Of 6 defensive options only “1” can help you from defending your back because your character does not track and the 1 option is the hardest defense option to use in the game. The vanish defensive option can be vanished and then both characters can just vanish like 20 times each on a loop with no other option to to counter so it’s scissors vs scissors with no counter play just the first to run out of Ki. Grabs aren’t fluid you have to be at a stand still and if you try to grab after a vanish your just simply out of range even if you know they are going to do a preception counter. There’s 2 specific abilities that just break any skill gap and that’s senzu bean on yajirobi and afterimage strike which gives you auto vanishing AND counter attacks for 15 seconds. Just a little rant… fix vanishing loop and add a rock paper scissors
